Fake Noose – The NASCAR Bubba Wallace “Rope Noose” Was a Purposeful Hoax…

Throughout the late evening and overnight hours we have been able to assemble definitive proof the NASCAR story of a noose hanging in the garage of drive Bubba Wallace is a hoax.  [Background Here]

When the race team of Bubba Wallace arrived at Talladega Speedway in Alabama, he was assigned to garage stall #4.  After reviewing prior 2019 video of that specific garage bay, at that specific speedway; and after reviewing a picture released yesterday showing the FBI investigators on the scene; it is clear the “rope noose” in question was nothing more than a manual garage door pull-down with a hand loop tied into it.

As you can see, the portion of the rope that shows the hand loop (aka “noose”) in 2019 was cut off in 2020.  The #4 garage door pull-down rope did not break, it was cut -the hand loop removed- and that’s why it is shorter.  The question then becomes was this a mistaken interpretation or an intentional effort to create the appearance of targeted hate?

The answer to that question becomes clear when you look at the same rope on the adjacent stall, #5.  A full picture (shown below) shows the pull-down rope on the stall next to Bubba Wallace also contained a hand loop tied into it.  However, it is clear from the kinks in the rope the hand loop was untied.  Likely by the same person who cut-off the “noose” on stall #4 being used by Bubba Wallace’s crew.

(Click Images to Enlarge – Or see original Here)

It appears the hand loop (“noose”) in garage stall #5 was untied in order to facilitate the perpetuation of the claim for the hand loop (“noose”) cut-off in Wallace’s stall #4.

A review of the exact garage bay/stall video in November 2019 (race Oct ’19), six months prior to the arrival of Mr. Bubba Wallace’s team, shows the hand loop as it most likely existed when the team arrived:

That is the “hand loop” that was cut from the manual garage door rope and presented by the team of Bubba Wallace and NASCAR as evidence of a “noose”.   This simple garage pull-down is what all of the racial stories have surrounded.

Again, here’s the side-by side comparison.  In the 2019 picture the pull-down hand loop is present, and in the 2020 picture taken Monday (with FBI officials) it is not.

It is important to note that many manual garage doors at Talladega speedway have these ropes and hand-loops tied into them for use as pull-downs. These same pull-down ropes appear to have been purposefully mistaken for “nooses.”  (see more here)

However, it’s not just Bubba Wallace and NASCAR officials driving this hoax.

To give some perspective it’s worth looking at how Auto Weekly framed a completely false racial component.  Note: Matt Weaver is the Associate Motorsports Editor for Auto Week USA and Auto Week Racing:

When Mr. Weaver was confronted with the evidence that Bubba Wallace’s claim was based on a clearly fabricated or misinterpreted story, Matt Weaver immediately responded jaw-agape by saying he had asked NASCAR about the possibility of the “noose” being a simple garage door pull down rope and NASCAR confirmed to him it was not:

This presented a rather unusual scenario because it is demonstrably true the “noose” was actually a simple garage door pull down rope.

With a multi-billion NASCAR corporate identity and credibility on the line we provided even more specific evidence to Matt Weaver showing the comparison of 2019 to 2020.

When provided with the incontrovertible evidence, immediately, this happened:

Now things are really interesting; because not only is a multi-billion NASCAR credibility on the line, but so too is the credibility of a major publication, Auto Week Racing, that relies on their relationship to the auto-racing industry and NASCAR.

Either NASCAR was lying to Auto Week, or Mr. Matt Weaver from Auto Week was falsely attributing a position and denial claim to NASCAR.

After CTH presented those two scenarios to a very interested public.  Mr. Weaver was forced to, well, let’s be kind, clarify his claim:

Funny how the truth cuts through the agenda of related interests.

So NASCAR President Mr. Steve Phelps doesn’t deny the “noose” was a simple garage door pull-down rope.  Apparently, the previous attribution to NASCAR by Mr. Weaver was “misunderstood”…. uh huh… when the reality is Phelps “has no information on that.”

I share that dialogue exchange because it’s important to understand the scale of the multi-billion vested interests that surround this now international scandal based on accusations of fake hate; a racially driven hoax.   There are lots of credibility and money at stake.

So with all of that context the big questions now surround motive.  What would be the motives for the NASCAR team of Bubba Wallace to create a racially divisive hoax?  What are the benefits and what would they accomplish?

Additionally, what would the motives be for NASCAR to promote a racial hoax with the intensity we have witnessed over the past two days?  What would be the motive of NASCAR President Steve Phelps?

Perhaps a discussion between NASCAR President Mr. Phelps and Auto Week Racing editor Mr. Weaver will provide an answer:

[…] It’s no secret that NASCAR could begin to take on a new look come 2021. The league is anticipating schedule diversification, a revamped entitlement sponsor program and the continued evolution of television-digital rights.

And for the first time since the decline of NASCAR’s mainstream popularity began, the sanctioning body is publicly admitting what Phelps is calling a headwind — the challenges major league stock car racing will face as it looks to discover its place in modern American pop culture.

[…] “The relationships we have with NBC is incredible, so we entered into a joint advertising with them that allows us to be in more places with the same voice. There are a lot of incredibly positive things happening on the quote business side of NASCAR.”

[…] “We do know that the race-day experience or the race-day weekend is really important, so we’re working with our tracks to have them understand that, and we need to reinvent what I would call the event promotion and what that looks like. And that gets back to a collaboration effort which we are going to see to between our racetracks, NASCAR, our broadcast partners and our teams and drivers in order to promote this sport in a way we haven’t in the past.”  (read more)

With a NASCAR goal to “discover its place in modern American pop culture” what better way to “promote this sport in a way we haven’t in the past”, than to go in search of a new audience.  Perhaps the social justice community.

What would be the fastest way to engage a new “pop culture” audience?  Perhaps, just perhaps…

Here’s another alarming part.  Not a single driver or race crew could point out that all of this nonsense was created over a garage door pull-down rope tied into a loop?  Those “nooses” are clearly visible in a bunch of NASCAR garage bays.

Is that level of willful blindness the result of a herd mentality where everyone knows the problem, but the false narrative has been pushed so hard that no-one wants to be ‘that guy’ who points out the obvious.

Is the racial sensitivity and peer pressure that strong in NASCAR?

Keep in mind the FBI responded to this hate hoax almost immediately; and yet what should have been, at best, outlined as a misunderstanding & solved in minutes has been allowed to drag out through the media for days…. while a toxic racial narrative is driven.

MEDIA – […] The racing organization said there is no place for racism in NASCAR and that the incident “only strengthens our resolve to make the sport open and welcoming to all.”

In addition, the US Attorney’s office for the Northern District of Alabama, FBI and the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division are reviewing the incident, US Attorney Jay E. Town said in statement.

“Regardless of whether federal charges can be brought, this type of action has no place in our society,” Town said.

A source with Richard Petty Motorsports told CNN that Wallace never saw the nooseA member of his team discovered it and immediately brought it to NASCAR’s attention, the source said. (more)

Pathetic.  “The more he spoke of his honor, the faster we counted the spoons.”

It was obviously a hoax to gen up more hatred of white people. But even had it turned out to not be a hoax, if some individual ‘white racist’ had actual tip toed into Nascar grounds and put the little “noose” there, why would that be something all white people must take responsibility for and repeat for? Since when are all black people suppose to take responsibly for and repent for what an individual black person has done? This is all so sick, and here in America, that it is mind numbing.

    • with all of this security that NASCAR has and the EXTRA they’ve added to help remove flags, how in the HELL did some fan/outsider get into the garages? They aren’t open to fans and the cars are locked down so even the teams can’t get at them. I guess some ninja crept in, hung up a noose and got it without a single person seeing them. Where are is the security camera footage that ARE n place to make sure no team gets in to make change to their cars? This was another Jussie incident, clearly done by either Wallace himself or a crew member because they didn’t get the positive response from fans like they claim they are getting. #JussieWallace

Here’s how I see this being explained away:

A well meaning crew member is found to have cut the “noose” from stall 4 garage pull rope as well as undoing the one in stall 5. Our woke hero didn’t want his DOC (driver of color) to be traumatized by the sight of such a symbol of systemic racism. We are in the heart of George Wallace country after all!

As to why it was found though, the crewmen simply got busy and forgot to dispose of the nasty noose prior to others seeing it. And the untied one, well our woke hero crewman spotted it after others arrived and realized it stuck out as too obvious and his only recourse was to quickly untie it before anyone put 2 & 2 together!

See, it was all just a simple case of brotherly love being misinterpreted!

Once again! So, let me get this straight. In less than 20 minutes after Bubba’s “team” sees a “noose” hanging from ceiling of his NASCAR garage a team of FBI is already in action to investigate the obstruction of his civil rights but for almost three years after the highest federal government officials sought to frame the President of the United States for a crime that not only he didn’t commit but a crime that never even happened the FBI is sidelined because of the Kung Flu?

Number 4 stall shows NO hand knot in this video: https://youtu.be/_WYXk2cYcFo?t=682 (link takes you to the right time).

Sundance mentioned in his post that he believes the number 5 stall hand knot was undone on purpose, hence the kink. However, same video shows that there was no hand knot in it and it was kinked as well: https://youtu.be/_WYXk2cYcFo?t=691 (link takes you to the right time).

Lastly, the video used in the post has an upload date of Nov 27. 2019. The last cup race to run in Talladega was on October 13 2019 (rain delayed) / October 14 2019 (completed). The pain schemes and stalls are the exact same between the Nov 27 and the video linked in this comment, so I suppose the Nov. 27 guy just took a while to upload his.

Any thoughts on why the October 13th video before the start of the race shows the Number 4 stall with no knot in it, but the Nov. 27 video does?

    • lackawaxen123 says:

who cares …? its the garage door pull … alot of them have loops in them (not a noose btw) … its a hoax …

      • rem mel says:

Oh, I’m with you that this is a hoax. I’m just pointing out the the original post is stating that since Stall Number 5 looks like it has a kink in it, then it must have had a knot in it but was purposefully taken apart. However, in the video I referenced, there wasn’t a knot in Stall Number 5.

Regarding Bubba Smullet’s stall number 4, again, the video I referenced had no knot in it, but other videos show that it does. So, what is the time line here? Were those other videos taken after the one I referenced, in which case it is likely that the knot stayed there from all last year?

Or, was the video I referenced taken after the ones in the original post, in which case, whoever perpetuated this hoax had to make the knot themselves.

        • sundance says:

You are getting your stall numbers wrong. That’s what is confusing you.

          • rem mel says:

I will surely feel pretty stupid if I am indeed!

In your picture taken from the Nov. 27 2019 video, you showed Stall 4 with Paul Menard in it and a knot/noose tied on the rope. In the video I referenced from Oct. 17 2019, I show Paul Menard in Stall 4 with no knot/noose.

In your 2020 picture with the 43 car and FBI agents, you point out how the rope looks in Stall 5 to the left, and make the point about the kink in the rope indicating someone likely undid it. In the Oct. 17 2019 (the only full footage found so far of Stall 5’s rope), it shows that there was no knot it in.

If I am getting my Stall number wrong, could you point it out? Because

    • Puzzled says:

There is another video uploaded Oct 18 shows the pull rope with ‘noose’ stall # 4. At 54 seconds. Don’t know who you are but suspect a troll or worse.

      • rem mel says:

I absolutely agree with you, that is why I brought it up. The Nov 27 and October 18 videos show a hand knot / noose, but the October 17 one I presented clearly shows no knot. That video was done by Eric Estepp who is a well known NASCAR enthusiast… I doubt that he edited his footage a year ago to remove the knot / noose.

So, I figured I would bring it up to the community and get thoughts as to why in some videos it is there, and in another it is not (no pun intended).

        • rem mel says:

Also, Sundance may want to look into changing the text on his graphic from November 2019 to October 2019. There was no race in Talladega in November 2019 and I imagine he would like for his article to be as factual as possible.

        • Puzzled says:

OK, the Oct 18 you tube video also refers to the fact that the race was the week before, so it absolutely shows it is contemporaneous.

          • rem mel says:

I agree that all 3 videos, Nov. 27, Oct 18 and Oct 17 are all from the exact same race. However, Sundance makes an argument that there is a kink in Stall 5’s rope which indicates that someone undid the knot. Neither the Nov. 27 or Oct 18. video’s show that rope in their entirety as they are blocked from view. The video I presented clearly shows that there was no knot in Stall 5, and that it was kinked. I am not trying to dissprove Sundance at all, or pull a gotchya, I’m simply providing more footage I found, so he can be aware of it, so he can have all of the information available to him.

The same goes for stall 4, which clearly shows no knot. However, in this case, there are 2 other videos from the same race which clearly shows a knot. So what happened here? Was there originally a knot and someone took it apart in Stall 4, and it sat like that until this past Monday when whoever did this hoax made it himself? Or, did someone last year decided to take the clearly not-knotted rope and make a knot with it and then it stayed knotted until this past Monday?

And in the main, nothing matters, the desired effect the whole thing was manufactured to create has occurred and there’s no way of getting it all back into the can. We have an ongoing, widely publicized, emotional campaign designed to get a Liberal puppet into the White House, swing one or two Senate votes in November and that’s all she wrote, folks.

This is an ‘all sizzle, no steak’ campaign that will only ramp-up with more stunts as November gets closer. The Left has the media, entertainment and much of the sports industries on their sides and the Republicans – who’ve been barely able to keep their **** together since Reagan left office – have bupkis.

  30. Don Bennett says:

Here’s the contents of an email I sent to my son and a friend last evening:

” . .About the noose that was found in Bubba Wallace’s locker at Talladega some time this weekend. Bubba’s a great guy and wonderful for the sport because he has talent with a great personality.

So here’s what I want to see happen: Investigate the incident, find out who did it, find out the motive and deal with the issue.

Now here’s the nagging question I’ve had all day: Just what was someone thinking when they thought this up? If they were thinking that they would “send a message to Buibba” then they are stupider than the rocks in my front yard. The NASCAR garage likes Bubba Wallace and will stand up for him; in just the way they did today before the race.

So, me being a thinking kind of guy, I thought about who would benefit from this “heinous” act (as NASCAR called it)?

Anyway, whomever put the noose in Bubba’s locker probably didn’t expect to have the FBI and the DOJ to come an investigate the incident as a possible hate crime and are probably sweating bullets about now (if they have any sense).

Oh, by the way, Ryan Blaney, who is my favorite driver and Bubba’s very good friend, won the race today for his second Talladega race win in a row. Cool.
    . . ”

I had the bit about the “noose” in the locker wrong; I guess it was just in the 43 garage stall but otherwise I think I was spot on.

    Take care,

    Don Bennett

NASCAR has been repeating this pop culture, audience expansion/diversification bollocks for two decades. It has seen them gut their sports’ fan base and media interest. Cities that were mini-Indianapolises in terms of interest in racing and reliance on race-week commerce eg Rockingham were cruelly abandoned so tracks in the middle of nowhere in TX, CA, KS, KY etc. could get races.

The returns and ratings have been dismal. The France grandchildren have been proving the third-generation hypothesis by ruining their heirloom. Tracks were already taking out entire sections of grandstand because empty seats embarrassed NASCAR. At present every seat is empty due to virus panic. Restrictions will eventually be lifted entirely but NASCAR should prepare themselves for the same number of empty seats.

This was entirely predictable. However, I’ll bet 99% of the people who know of the noose from the MSM reporting about it will never learn that it’s a hoax just as the massive number of useful idiots doing the “Hands up, don’t shoot” thing while protesting don’t know that’s a myth. Thus, the hoax has served its purpose.

  36. Jimmy Jack says:

Thank you for exposing this. I knew as soon as I saw the story it was a total hate hoax. This one seemed particularly problematic for several reasons and seems to be part of a strategic effort To attack a NASCAR and it’s fan base.

Think back to the blowback from the Obama visit, bear in mind the attack on the Confederate flag, and the Soros Blueprint for NC. None of these things are happening in isolation.

Remember how much SUPPORT Trump received from those fans?
Fans STILL don’t like “kneeling”, and have said so from day one.

    Investor Meeting:
“Gentlemen, we’re cutting our revenue by 1/2 today!
And we have plans to remove future profits completely!
    Who’s with me …?”

ALL sports MUST get on the Democrat-agenda bus.
ALL sports MUST put themselves in the poor house.

    Future revenues gone.
    Investors losing millions.

We’re supposed to believe wealthy investors care MORE about SJW issues,
than they care about their bottomline. They beheaded their golden goose,
because they don’t really like their yachts and mansions and marvelous life.

On what planet does that happen?

    Who/what is compensating investor losses?
The lost revenue is coming from somewhere.

    Get woke go broke. True.

    1. The CEO will likely get paid more….. much more ….for playing along with the Soros crowd.

    2. The goal is to destroy NASCAR as a generator of famous “heroes“, who do not have woke thoughts and replace them with those who do.

If they have to burn it down to accomplish it, so be it. Just like newspapers, the goal is to control the narrative, not to make money on NASCAR. Controlling the narrative is HOW they make their money.

    • cjzak says:

Yep. NASCAR was one of the last sports to kowtow to the racism social justice crowd, mainly because of the conservative fans who blocked the more leftist agenda for awhile. But the declining dollars, low attendance and lack of tv viewers made the ownership/managers of NASCAR start to look for new avenues of financial resources it seems. Enter the left big wigs with large pockets of money.

Voila, along with an inferior product apparently(I’m not a car racing fan) and now an agenda written by the left which was not very well received by the core fans, it seems NASCAR is the author of their own imminent future demise.

Someone will revise car racing on a better level at some point. so many people love it in it’s true form without the political rhetoric around. Maybe it’s all a good thing anyway in the end.

So our incredible FIB is brought in to investigate and they couldn’t spin their heads left or right to see that every garage had one of these hand pulls??

As the leader of the FIB, IMO Wray should be fired for sheer the incompetence of his organization.

    What a I missing?

  40. Jimmy Jack says:

They’re really pushing this lynching issue aren’t they? They must really plan to use that legislation to launch some kind of major agenda. I hope Sundance or someone will really do a deep dive into exactly what the agenda is bc it surely isn’t about lynching and Black Americans.

  42. The first thing I thought when I heard this outrageous tale was that nascar was using this time to exploit the racism being thrown around and try to get more viewers and new fans to show that nascar isn’t racist anymore.

However, then I thought, wait a minute…this sounds a lot like that famous French actor who fabricated a story about being lynched in Chicago that completely blow up in the Democrats faces. You know the incident I’m referring to. The one that happened right when an Anti-Lynching bill was trying to make its way through Congress. That failed, so I figured this was the resurgence of that attempt.

The really confusing thing that I’m still trying to figure out is, why was there an anti-lynching bill even drawn up? When was the last time we’ve heard of anyone being strung up by the neck?

Yeah, Bubba’s in on it. He’s done exactly Jack Squat in the Cup Series, and he just watched Daniel Suarez get kicked back to a minor league team this year from JGR, and Suarez was at least mediocre. Bubba’s using the racial angle to try and save his career.

This has to be a hoax and I will tell you why. NASCAR has had dwindling attendance for the past years. They have become less relevant as well. Now I am here to tell you that skin color does not matter to motor sport fans just as it does not matter to most Americans. Witness, James Stewart. African american motocross star and one of the best riders in history.(now retired) His fan base was huge and he had huge support. His younger brother “mookie” is now racing and although not in James league he has huge support and is a charismatic personality. Lewis Hamilton. F1 superstar with a huge global fan base. Juan Pablo Montoya, Indy 500 winner and F1 race winner. Same, fans loved him. Bubba Wallace is being used as a “useful Idiot” and this is a coordinated plot by NASCAR to try to stay relevant. Americans are not racist, they only care how you perform on track or on the court or in business. When people say America is racist I always reply, “compared to what?” What other country has fought a civil war and done so many things to try to lift up all people. You can make the argument that the republicans have just not cared too much in the past but you can also make the argument that the dems have kept black people poor and brainwashed. Witness LBJ and his comment about how once the civil rights bill was passed the blacks will vote dem fir the next 100 years.

    Connecting some dots?:
    …oppressive tyranny…
…china…. (and other places) people are silenced….
…china preferential treatment on world trade (developing country)…
..china cheap labor draws jobs out of USA…

    ….china theme park…by comcast…

    …comcast owns nbc…

…nascar closer relationship with nbc… (not with fans)

…dupe people about simple garage rope loop.. (foster divisiveness… a tactic to discredit freedom and then promote moving to tyranny)…

…tie up ‘investigations’, people looking into nothing… (similar to trump-russia collusion mis-investigation…that simultaneously ignored any dnc, or others, election collusion…)

    April 2020 article…connecting some other dots…?

    As wise Grandpa said over 35 years ago to Grandson;
‘don’t take any wooden nickels’ (in whatever words, forms, or actions)
[ apparently some others did not get such advice ]

    ‘prove all things,
hold fast to that which is good’
    Thessalonians 5:21

    …cancel the loopy investigation…?
…add, or expand, a rico or other investigation…?
Thank you nbc, nascar etc. for some tips…

I do not know (but the clues, give a clue… )

They had Wallace on The View and assumed the accuracy of the story in spite of the fact there is an investigation going on; to them it’s racism; the Media will cover this up till they can no longer do so as with Smolletif it is DEFINITELY a hoax.
