Fake Noose – The NASCAR Bubba Wallace “Rope Noose” Was a Purposeful Hoax…

Throughout the late evening and overnight hours we have been able to assemble definitive proof the NASCAR story of a noose hanging in the garage of drive Bubba Wallace is a hoax.  [Background Here]

When the race team of Bubba Wallace arrived at Talladega Speedway in Alabama, he was assigned to garage stall #4.  After reviewing prior 2019 video of that specific garage bay, at that specific speedway; and after reviewing a picture released yesterday showing the FBI investigators on the scene; it is clear the “rope noose” in question was nothing more than a manual garage door pull-down with a hand loop tied into it.

As you can see, the portion of the rope that shows the hand loop (aka “noose”) in 2019 was cut off in 2020.  The #4 garage door pull-down rope did not break, it was cut -the hand loop removed- and that’s why it is shorter.  The question then becomes was this a mistaken interpretation or an intentional effort to create the appearance of targeted hate?

The answer to that question becomes clear when you look at the same rope on the adjacent stall, #5.  A full picture (shown below) shows the pull-down rope on the stall next to Bubba Wallace also contained a hand loop tied into it.  However, it is clear from the kinks in the rope the hand loop was untied.  Likely by the same person who cut-off the “noose” on stall #4 being used by Bubba Wallace’s crew.

(Click Images to Enlarge – Or see original Here)

It appears the hand loop (“noose”) in garage stall #5 was untied in order to facilitate the perpetuation of the claim for the hand loop (“noose”) cut-off in Wallace’s stall #4.

A review of the exact garage bay/stall video in November 2019 (race Oct ’19), six months prior to the arrival of Mr. Bubba Wallace’s team, shows the hand loop as it most likely existed when the team arrived:

That is the “hand loop” that was cut from the manual garage door rope and presented by the team of Bubba Wallace and NASCAR as evidence of a “noose”.   This simple garage pull-down is what all of the racial stories have surrounded.

Again, here’s the side-by side comparison.  In the 2019 picture the pull-down hand loop is present, and in the 2020 picture taken Monday (with FBI officials) it is not.

It is important to note that many manual garage doors at Talladega speedway have these ropes and hand-loops tied into them for use as pull-downs. These same pull-down ropes appear to have been purposefully mistaken for “nooses.”  (see more here)

However, it’s not just Bubba Wallace and NASCAR officials driving this hoax.

To give some perspective it’s worth looking at how Auto Weekly framed a completely false racial component.  Note: Matt Weaver is the Associate Motorsports Editor for Auto Week USA and Auto Week Racing:

When Mr. Weaver was confronted with the evidence that Bubba Wallace’s claim was based on a clearly fabricated or misinterpreted story, Matt Weaver immediately responded jaw-agape by saying he had asked NASCAR about the possibility of the “noose” being a simple garage door pull down rope and NASCAR confirmed to him it was not:

This presented a rather unusual scenario because it is demonstrably true the “noose” was actually a simple garage door pull down rope.

With a multi-billion NASCAR corporate identity and credibility on the line we provided even more specific evidence to Matt Weaver showing the comparison of 2019 to 2020.

When provided with the incontrovertible evidence, immediately, this happened:

Now things are really interesting; because not only is a multi-billion NASCAR credibility on the line, but so too is the credibility of a major publication, Auto Week Racing, that relies on their relationship to the auto-racing industry and NASCAR.

Either NASCAR was lying to Auto Week, or Mr. Matt Weaver from Auto Week was falsely attributing a position and denial claim to NASCAR.

After CTH presented those two scenarios to a very interested public.  Mr. Weaver was forced to, well, let’s be kind, clarify his claim:

Funny how the truth cuts through the agenda of related interests.

So NASCAR President Mr. Steve Phelps doesn’t deny the “noose” was a simple garage door pull-down rope.  Apparently, the previous attribution to NASCAR by Mr. Weaver was “misunderstood”…. uh huh… when the reality is Phelps “has no information on that.”

I share that dialogue exchange because it’s important to understand the scale of the multi-billion vested interests that surround this now international scandal based on accusations of fake hate; a racially driven hoax.   There are lots of credibility and money at stake.

So with all of that context the big questions now surround motive.  What would be the motives for the NASCAR team of Bubba Wallace to create a racially divisive hoax?  What are the benefits and what would they accomplish?

Additionally, what would the motives be for NASCAR to promote a racial hoax with the intensity we have witnessed over the past two days?  What would be the motive of NASCAR President Steve Phelps?

Perhaps a discussion between NASCAR President Mr. Phelps and Auto Week Racing editor Mr. Weaver will provide an answer:

[…] It’s no secret that NASCAR could begin to take on a new look come 2021. The league is anticipating schedule diversification, a revamped entitlement sponsor program and the continued evolution of television-digital rights.

And for the first time since the decline of NASCAR’s mainstream popularity began, the sanctioning body is publicly admitting what Phelps is calling a headwind — the challenges major league stock car racing will face as it looks to discover its place in modern American pop culture.

[…] “The relationships we have with NBC is incredible, so we entered into a joint advertising with them that allows us to be in more places with the same voice. There are a lot of incredibly positive things happening on the quote business side of NASCAR.”

[…] “We do know that the race-day experience or the race-day weekend is really important, so we’re working with our tracks to have them understand that, and we need to reinvent what I would call the event promotion and what that looks like. And that gets back to a collaboration effort which we are going to see to between our racetracks, NASCAR, our broadcast partners and our teams and drivers in order to promote this sport in a way we haven’t in the past.”  (read more)

With a NASCAR goal to “discover its place in modern American pop culture” what better way to “promote this sport in a way we haven’t in the past”, than to go in search of a new audience.  Perhaps the social justice community.

What would be the fastest way to engage a new “pop culture” audience?  Perhaps, just perhaps…

Here’s another alarming part.  Not a single driver or race crew could point out that all of this nonsense was created over a garage door pull-down rope tied into a loop?  Those “nooses” are clearly visible in a bunch of NASCAR garage bays.

Is that level of willful blindness the result of a herd mentality where everyone knows the problem, but the false narrative has been pushed so hard that no-one wants to be ‘that guy’ who points out the obvious.

Is the racial sensitivity and peer pressure that strong in NASCAR?

Keep in mind the FBI responded to this hate hoax almost immediately; and yet what should have been, at best, outlined as a misunderstanding & solved in minutes has been allowed to drag out through the media for days…. while a toxic racial narrative is driven.

MEDIA – […] The racing organization said there is no place for racism in NASCAR and that the incident “only strengthens our resolve to make the sport open and welcoming to all.”

In addition, the US Attorney’s office for the Northern District of Alabama, FBI and the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division are reviewing the incident, US Attorney Jay E. Town said in statement.

“Regardless of whether federal charges can be brought, this type of action has no place in our society,” Town said.

A source with Richard Petty Motorsports told CNN that Wallace never saw the nooseA member of his team discovered it and immediately brought it to NASCAR’s attention, the source said. (more)

Pathetic.  “The more he spoke of his honor, the faster we counted the spoons.”

Embarrassing and revealing. A juvenile attempt at grabbing attention and maybe the driver is a drama queen (from past reports that is likely), and NASCAR is leaping at the chance to shoot itself in the other foot. That version of auto racing, and it’s connected high-dollar support industry, has moved away from sport and is now solidly in the relationship/HR/jargon business.
With stunts like this does anyone wonder why the frequent screams of racism, institutionalized racism, systemic racism, racism with a side of fries, have become just so much background noise? The intact racist actions of one group toward another can no longer be of interest because the hustlers and under-developed personalities clinging to the race raft have crowded out those incidents.
I suppose the girlfriend or a connected party is to blame for all the hysteria – any time one of those high-profile types is not getting the attention they believe they are entitled to some stunt or other is pulled to draw the spotlight near. Sort of a fire-fighter arsonist relationship.
    Damning and sad.
Look for a statement from the LEO regarding findings, mumbling about misunderstanding and moving forward. No apology to the world, no resignations, no display of humility, but plenty of chest-beating and symbolism. IF you’re looking for a sport to follow this once competitive venue is not the place for it.

As a former winning NASCAR Winston Cup Crew Chief from the seventies I have to say this is not the first time NASCAR has had their hand involved in engineering outcomes. Even a blind man can see that the sport is out of business. Long before the coved thing the stands were empty. The sport is way too expensive for competitors and fans. It doesn’t need to cost anything like it does. I believe that lots and lots of people want to see good racing instead of engineered outcomes. I am not saying it is rigged as to who wins on a steady basis but Iknow of outcomes that have made a difference.Dont get me wrong I love the racers but have no respect for NASCAR.Iknow how much hard work and finances it takes and have total respect for the people who race. They have scared the fans away and they are not coming back.If they think they are going to fill the stands with BLM and soy boys go right ahead.

I am sick and tired of the “poor me and you hate me” that comes from black people. Its a lie that only exists to advance a minority of the population in the USA.

I worked with black people and watched them just look for situations they could use against white people. I saw white people treated by disdain and hate from blacks that used them and then abused them. For some 40 years I had many friends of color. That has all changed because of the preaching against white people. Race relations have been set back 60 years in the past two months and they ain’t through yet.

I have witnessed this so called reverse discrimination and yet, how do we define the word “reverse.” It is simply a fact that most blacks have educated their kids to hate white people. That my friends, is a true statement and the real problem in 2020.

There is nothing that can stop the U-Tube machine that allows anyone to post anything at anytime. I suggest that U-Tube revamp into different components: The index should read like this:
      #1. Racist hoax
      #2. Cooking
      #3. Electronics Explored
      #4. Automotive fix-it
#5. Trash stories by people of all color (Growing Up Hip-Hop in Atlanta comes to mind for this section…maybe How To Make White People Worthless in less than 5 minutes….or, How to Destroy a City and Never Think Once about the Harm Being Done to Others.
#6. Kids being Kids and then a warning of DANGER should be posted on those stunts that are intended to cause harm to those too young or stupid to know better.

Yep, all our kids are watching U-Tube and most parents don’t even know it.

Excuse me? We should not blame the black monster shown in the clip beating the crap out of a white shopper in Macy’s whom he errantly blamed for using the “N” word, just one minor example? Not being held accountable for personal decisions made is the crux of America’s problems and it is only amplified by circular and sentimental pc blame shifting. That’s how the Nazi system continues to work!

          • wondering999 says:

I haven’t seen the video of a violent Macy’s shopper — but my first guess would be that the violent shopper was a mentally ill shopper. Where did it take place? Macy’s in San Francisco is very near the homeless/mentally ill district.

I do know that there was recently a big push to decry a “white male” who came up to some Asian people in San Francisco/Chinatown and was verbally abusive. Having just spent several weeks in that area, I distinctly recall a mentally ill “white man” who went around making messes in the area around Chinatown.

Part of their program to incite, is using mentally ill people for their political scams. Disgraceful! and the Party of Bob Creamer don’t get called on it. People who should have a higher awareness of the problems associated with mental illness fall right into meowing about these “incidents” because it fits their political goals

Every pill top on my garages had had a small T bar handle at the end, not a noose. The hard plastic handle is much easier to grab with all 4 fingers and it exerts no pressure on the edges of you hand while pulling down. Plus there’s no chance your hand gets caught in it.
I was curious last when I saw the photos showing the small rope nooses for garage door pulls, thinking why did they never install the T bar pull handles. But it should be a non issue except for the Left, who see racism in everything.

For that matter, how many races has Bubba Wallace run at Talladega in his career? The sight of an oil filter wrench must put him in tears. Can you even imagine what his reaction would be if he walked by a necktie shop. I’m not sure who he would call first, the FBI or his therapist.

Dan Patterson’s comment about “racism with a side of fries” hits home too: The Insane Left and their believers (it’s a CULT, I keep saying) are all too comfortable believing in White institutional (and universal) racism. They literally want fries with that, comfort food with comfort hateful dogma — the rational dissonance, of actually taking comfort from hate, completely escapes them (did I mention they are Insane?).

The demand for hate crimes exceeds the supply… so fake incidents must be created.

There’s a great channel on YouTube run by a guy who goes by the handle “DonutOperator.” He’s a veteran and a former cop who breaks down police videos and stories. He has a series where he looks at people who lie about police abuse. Almost all of those videos are about blacks claiming to have been brutalized by a cop, but when the dash cam or body cam footage is released, everything in the exchange was revealed to be harmless. But some people either enjoy lying, or have a filter so intense that any little thing, no matter how slight, can be blown completely out of proportion.

It’s like a certain demographic in this country is primed to believe that everyone is out to get them, that cops are all racist, the KKK is hiding behind every bush, and that whites are a bunch of hateful a-holes looking for every opportunity to ruin them, just because of their skin color.

I wonder what the real perception of these recent racial hoaxes are with real people. It’s amazing how false stories gain so much traction when the people involved (MAGA hat Jesse, Bubba, the failing NASCAR executive, the media) are motivated for attention and to push a narrative.

To me, I have hope since most of these overt acts of “racism” are fabricated by overt militant social-justice warriors. I just don’t see these acts happening in my day-to-day activities.

It’s sad Bubba is filled with such hate that he needs to make up this crap, just focus on your job and gaining more interest in the sport by helping black youth gain access to opportunities, he has the ability to make that happen. But instead chooses to go the way of Kapernick, unfortunately he obviously has the head executive of NASCAR behind him. I don’t think the veteran drivers or the older diehard fans (the ones that USED to pay big money to spend the week at the track with their $250,000+ RV’s) that could give a hoot what color of skin any driver was, but rather how they race, are going to like the “fundamental transformation”. Just wait til the transgender driver because the first “female” to win the cup – sorry Danica.

Actually, I am sorry to say, you completely misunderstood the point of soccer, and the excitement that comes with it. To us, soccer fans, raised on it from childhood, American football is in comparison the most ridiculous, staged, athletics-absent ‘sport’ imaginable. 300-lb slabs of meat, who lose their breath after just squatting in position, are not athletes. The finesse of soccer has to be understood, and if it’s not, opinions like yours arise. Sure, like many other disciplines, there are liars and cheaters here, too, and injury faking is one of the most reviled offenses to soccer fans. There are haters here, there are publicity hounds, there are rabid Prog-activist loonies (e.g. almost the entire WUSA). And they are as hated by the fans as by any regular American loving their country.
To deride the entire sport based on the recent take-over by the liberal politics is to deny that it was a programmed and organized action, executed perfectly and stealthily, and that the same exact maneuver is under way in all of American sports today, with many having acquiesced and accepted their fate willingly a long time ago. It’s like everything in life – THEY start with small things, things you may not be willing to fight for because the inconvenience is just not worth the payoff, so you go with it peacefully, while the heat under the pot is being turned up and up, without you ever noticing. That’s how this cancer of political correctness was allowed, over the last decade, to turn into the full blown, warp speed progressive-socialist-fascist usurpation and overthrow of the entire culture and social structure in this country.

Good explique of soccer. There is demonstrable finesse and the simple equipment — a ball, goal frame with netting and chalk lines on a field — are something that fans worldwide understand immediately, reminding them of school days or neighborhood pick-up games. It’s played by rich and poor all around the world. American football is also a wonderful game with a pageantry surrounding it that is unique to the sport. It’s disappointing, to say the least, when anyone tampers with these folk-fests, NASCAR, too, to push an agenda irrelevant to the sport.

There is something in the story I’m curious about.

    Sundance linked this:

    In that story is this:

“After the race was postponed, NASCAR impounded all the cars as they have already rolled through tech inspection. They were locked in a garage overnight.
Late last night, the No. 43 discovered that a noose had been hung over their car as it sat in the garage area. Bubba Wallace, NASCAR’s only African-American is the driver of that car.
The sanction has confirmed the existence of last night’s noose.”

The cars were locked in a garage overnight. Apparently the #43 team (the word team is not included in the quote) discovered that a noose had been hung over their car as it sat in the garage area. This discovery occurred late at night.

    1. Why was the #43 team or any members of it in the locked garage overnight?

    2. So the noose was placed over the car?

    3. The #5 garage bay clearly had the door pull down (noose) untied.

    4. Were any other door pull down “nooses” untied?

    5. Going back to #1, if the cars are locked in a garage overnight after tech inspection why was anyone allowed in the locked garage? Theoretically that would allow somebody to make a change that would not pass a tech inspection, thereby defeating the purpose of the tech inspection.

    6. How was the noose/door pull down suspended over the #43 car?

    7. If the purpose of the tech inspection is for safety and to thwart rules violations would there not be security cameras EVERYWHERE?

    8. Have the security cameras (multiple?) been “Epsteined” like the jail cameras watching over Epstein so nothing could be seen? If that’s the case it’s more than a small problem.

    9. Was the noose/door pull down taken down by the #43 team after being found hanging over the car? Or did they show it to NASCAR officials while it was still hanging there? How did it get hung over the car, and how was it suspended?

You can look it up on YouTube unless NASCAR pulls the video due to embarrassment. You can see them in several spots including the 3 minute 20 second spot. Every single door had them in place.

Bubba was defending his position of the pull rope being noose… unlike anything he had ever seen on a garage door on CNN tonight. (he has raced at that track before and therefore has seen them before) Even if he hadn’t noticed them initially…he has now and is truly making a fool of himself.

Until NASCAR and Bubba both apologize, all fans should stay away from NASCAR and their sponsors. It would be nice to see fans show up at local tracks with garage door pull ropes in their hands.

NASCAR had stated that they would ban the person responsible for putting them there…I suppose the guy who specified those doors, the buyer who bought them and the installer are now all banned from all future NASCAR events.

Due to Bubba’s defiance on CNN tonight, he too she have to sit out for a period of time. He now knows that those were in every garage…why would he continue to act like a victim?

  31. I don’t doubt this ‘fake noose’ concept was started by any of the zillions of SJW types out there who is perpetually outraged that “racism” exists everywhere. Any day now, they will bitch about zebras being black, yet partially marginalized, by their white stripes!!! The hoax might not have been started by Bubba’s crew. It could be any of the recreationally outraged.
The Nascar brass jumped right on this “attack” narrative to show they are concerned about diversity & inclusion, BLAH, BLAH,BLAH. Just the latest example of a business pandering to the leftists to prove they are “woke”. Expect a 7 figure check to go to some organization for some nebulous initiative fighting ‘institutional racism. Very convenient timing to have this ‘racist’ incident occur in a predominantly white supported sport, just after the Confederate flag ban was announced at Nascar tracks, which was itself a politically correct move.

With all the security, no way did just anyone walk in and do this. At this point I think the question is will the media just stop talking about this and no one asks any more questions. Can they just make this go away? It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the next few days.

Who was it that won the race?
Oh that’s right. Nobody cares. Coz immediately after the race was over glory-hound Bubba came out to receive his accolades AS IF he won.
    It was nauseating.

I was also a fan since the #3 and now it’s off of my calendar. However … I still have the sport cornhole! I own my set of tournament quality boards and my league of 18 teams (there are 4 people on each team), meets weekly from Memorial Day to Labor Day. We play the Star Spangled Banner at the start of each event where I stand and salute because, as a veteran, I can.

I don’t watch NASCAR, and couldn’t care less about the sport. That having been said, it’s interesting watching them become “woke” and find their own way to show the world that they’re taking a symbolic knee. The backlash that sport will feel once their devoted fans say they’ve had enough will be even tougher on it than it is on the NFL.
Just like the NFL, they won’t miss the dollars I don’t give them.

As a life-long NASCAR fan, I stopped watching 2 or 3 weeks ago when they made the broadcast all about BLM. I wasn’t protesting or boycotting… I was done, I had had enough. At that point I knew NASCAR had been infiltrated. I’m not surprised about any of this. What NASCAR ownership did not realize is they were being cajoled to act by nefarious forces and soon will be on the same junk heap as a confederate statue. Its a shame they were not more wise and aware. I’m sure it was a ton of their NYC media agencies urging them “to do the right thing supporting BLM”. Morons.

Yes to all you say, but also there was\is the pressure from the corporations that fund the sport and who ,themselves have all taken the woke knee. No way racing would be just left alone. Everything must serve the narrative.

“What would be the motives for the NASCAR team of Bubba Wallace to create a racially divisive hoax?” NASCAR’s in bed with NBC. NBC is the epicenter of fakenewsdom. Even a groggy old phart like me can connect those two dots. 🙂

Everyone is forgetting Bubba earned some racial grievance points and clout due to Kyle Larson. This is why NASCAR is using Bubba Wallace to re-brand themselves because they likely have lost sponsorship $$$ over that live stream incident where it’s indicated he was referring to Bubba Wallace.

I used to be a big NASCAR fan, then they banned anything with a Confederate style flag and my interest waned.

Frankly, I hadn’t heard about any of this because I won’t watch until or unless they allow full capacity fans in the stands. It is outdoors for God sakes. And they had better respect our military and our USA flag.

I noticed in this story that NBC is their broadcast partner. This sounds to me like an NBC production, and they are just dragging everyone else along for the ride.

If they actually think this is a rebranding or a good promo for them for blacks and the anti-white crowd they are crazy, like loons. First, they have to hear about it. Second, they have to care. I would guarantee you that most didn’t and most won’t. This won’t sell tickets or season passes anywhere.

Total Fail. And a BIG BLACK EYE FOR NASCAR.

Take a look at your NASCAR paraphernalia to see where they make it. Are they making it in the USA yet? That was another reason I left them after the confederate flag crap and it was at least a year BEFORE TRUMP came down the escalator. I tried to get them to buy American and got nowhere.

IOW, to tie down limited FBI resources over there, while in other cities the Antifa-communist/BLM-moslem-jihad alliance destroys monuments to national heroes and vandalizes Christian Churches.

like other sports, some people like them and some people don’t…Indy Car was great until they changed all the rules…Formula One was great too but not anymore…

NASCAR like all the others try to be the flavor of the month instead of just being true to itself kinda like the NFL right?
