President Trump Responds To Speaker Pelosi Announcing Assembly of Articles For Impeachment…

Earlier today President Trump responded to the House Judiciary Committee farcical construct of a constitutional academic panel:

Moments later, Speaker Pelosi announced her instructions to the House Chair to assemble articles of impeachment for House floor vote consideration.  In response to the Pelosi announcement President Trump tweeted:

No way they want Trump revealing all. And there is no way they can do a double cross Trump and stay in power. i believe the vote dies in the house. It’s the smart move. Tessio was always smarter…

This is like a poker game. Trump would like to get them to play their hands and then come in with a better hand. Imagine Trump is a really savvy player holding 3 Kings. His opponent has 2 Aces. But Trump has been counting the cards and knows that 2 Aces have already gone through the deck. He bets all in, knowing he has the winning hand. But his opponent shows 3 Aces. They win. Trump knows they cheated, but it is too late. At this point Trump is betting on the Senate to keep him in power. But Trump also has closed off a lot of the “money deals” for the Uniparty Republicans. Can Trump really go into a Senate vote knowing that some Senators may vote to impeach? In my opinion, Trump better start playing his hand right after January 1, or he may not ever get another chance.

After his oppenent showed the 3 aces, Trump put the 4th King in his hand. The Sting. You think Trump didn’t see this coming? You think Rudy was checking on Biden? LoL! Nope. Trump has dirt on Mitch McConnell. More than we know. I think he is gonna squeeze Mitch. Donald Trump has played this game before. Bush Clinton CIA FBI Comey Brennan McCabe clapper Mueller. I think he can handle McConnell and his wife. Not to worry my friend.

        True Ray,

What if however, PDJT says no deal.

Maybe add Rat Ryan to the witness list, he is a civilian now and was part of the gang of 8.

How about Diane Swinestein too..she was an 8er too.

PDJT demands to be heard. With our without his legal counsel present.

How on earth could the Senators ignore such a request…

What about the world view. The financial markets?

Goodness me, the implosion within the Republican Party would be catastrophic.

An exaggeration maybe, but my bet is the U.S.A. would be shaken to its core.

PDJT knows his family, friends, business associates and everyday Americans are at great risk.

        He ain’t backing down..the Senators

Although weasels would not dare risk the wrath of PDJT and his likely 70,000,000 supporters..

I am sitting in a comfortable home in British Columbia Canada, family, health and finances are all doing well. I am furious at the injustice..and thinking about flying anywhere to support PDJT ( crazy I know)

I can only imagine how the victims of illegal aliens, the IRS targeting, faux impeachment, the MSM lies, Obamacare feel.

I would be at my Senators door, then likely on my way to Gaol.

A dash of therapeutic pessimism when your best hopes are dependent on the decisions of card carrying members of the Uniparty is not the same as paranoia or pearl clutching or the sky is falling in warnings from Chicken Littles.

The stakes are monumentally high in this internecine political battle as sundance has often pointed out; so nothing is a slam dunk or certainty in this crazed political climate when trillions are at stake. Probabilities yes but not certainties! Besides speculation and a lack of certainty is not necessarily pessimism.

The Uniparty meta-strategy remains to provoke Trump into radical action they can use to justify his impeachment and conviction. That is a good question. Maybe nothing at all and she will be a great Georgia Senator. For whatever reason, some of the Cons. media had been attacking her as an unfavorable candidate compared to P Trump’s choice of Rep Collins as Senator (ie. Hannity)

Often hyperbolic Gateway Pundit wrote “Loeffler has promoted Planned Parenthood. Personally, Loeffler has donated nearly a $1,000,000 to Mitt Romney’s disastrous 2012 presidential campaign and hundreds of thousands of dollars to fellow NeverTrump leader Paul Ryan’s campaigns and PACs and other similar negatives from other Cons sites.

I have no idea what kind of Senator she will be but her twitter site comments below indicate someone quite different to most of the negative criticism. She might surprise her critics.

The healthcare services of Planned Parenthood were worthy of support. Where they went wrong was becoming an abortion mill.

She supported Romney, the Republican nominee in 2012. I don’t see that as incriminating. He may have been our first clue that voters were ready for a dramatic change. A lot of people supported and voted for Romney. At the time Ryan had not shown his true colors, either, though I thought he was a poor choice for VP.

There’s an upside to Collins being left in position. He’s pretty effective in his current position. And I see no reason to think she will be untrustworthy or a liability as a Senator.

Just today Al Green made a specific effort to say that “There is NO LIMIT to the number of times a President may be impeached”

IOW: The most radical Dems plan to wage continual Lawfare against the current administration, with the intent of miring it in a morass of court filings and grinding it to a standstill.

Eventually the American electorate will become so sick and tired of this they will just either the Democrat Congress Critters who are doing it, or will elect a different President in 2020.

This is their last moment of power, before they vote out the articles (assuming that they do).

How bad and obvious is it? Story in 2 tweets.

    What do the tweets mean?

    1. Both men know POTUS isn’t being removed now
    2. Both men know that once the Dem House acts, its power is gone

Thus, the need to try to “string out” the process and thus keep supposed Dem power over POTUS.

We can impeach him again! So you better not re-elect him!
We can re-try him in the Senate again. So you better not re-elect him!

Desperation is beginning to set in. Impeachment was the only real power mechanism of the left, and it’s working poorly for them (so far) and the power is about to be cut.

Not a great place to be if you are a Dem or a fan of Dems.

Yes, POTUS will have the “impeached President” scarlet letter. But who cares? Not sure the electorate cares very much about that. Maybe certain sub-groups care, but that might not be enough to get the job done for Dems in 2020.

Turley is trying to walk down the centerline of the argument, thinking that “rises above the fray.” Typical RINO position, despite his being a DemonRAT.

Every good point he makes is negated by the weak arguments of impeaching President Trump on non-crimes such as “abuse of power” or “violation of the public trust.”

Now those two “impeachable offenses” (according to Turley) are two really objectively-defined situations that can be demonstrated for all sides to see and agree. NO! NOT EVEN CLOSE! Those are **completely subjective*** for which definitions can be fabricated, twisted, and manipulated to fit ANY normally legal, ethical, action. Which is why they are not classified as crimes and defined by any statute.

Walking down the center of any road usually results in your being run over, Jonathan.

The Hill’s comments are crazy! It is truly a wonder to me that that many people in our country are off their rocker and have zero ability to evaluate a situation.

I wonder daily what the answer is.

      Split up the country?

I cannot fathom how to move forward when half of our population seems diametrically opposed to our founding principles.

On a side note … I very much enjoy reading everyone’s comments and perspective. Grateful to have found a branch.

President Trump’s tweets reflect that he is unafraid of the scam the democrats are foisting upon America…….and that he gets HIS turn in the senate.

They KNOW their house rules were grotesquely unfair.

He’s projecting strength while democrats project weakness by sending something to the senate, allegedly and eventually, that they KNOW will fail.

At a minimum Pelosi will have to make the rounds reassuring her people in vulnerable districts because they will be uncomfortable with Trump’s confidence that they will be exposed and he will be exonerated.

The possessed Dems know now NOTHING will separate we the people from the only person who stands between this country’s sovereignty and no more elections, no more Constitution, no more freedom of speech, religion, and no more 2nd amendment. 95% of Republicans/conservatives are behind him. That number, 95%, alone has prompted them to go all out for impeachment. They tried everything from Stormy Daniels to a p *y tape to golden showers to a bromance with Putin to a phone call, you name it. At this point they know Trump’s early statement that he could shoot somebody on 5th avenue and we would still vote for him is the darn truth.

They really have no choice but impeachment.

FTA – Ken Starr says Pelosi engaging in ‘abuse of power’ and Senate may have to dismiss impeachment case.

Starr appeared on “The Brian Kilmeade Show” on Fox News Radio to discuss the impeachment inquiry and said he was shocked by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s, D-Calif., “abuse of power.”

“It’s an outrage to seize control of the deliberate process of a committee — [it] simply compounds a series of very, very terrible abuses,” he said. “The House Judiciary committee with its incredibly rich history needs to go into… an open session and debate this.”

“Where did she get this power?” Starr asked. “I am honestly surprised.

LOL. “Rich history” indeed. There is no remedy at law for abuse of power by either branch of Congress.
The Senate won’t dismiss for some sort of House abuse of House rules or protocol. That’s all on the House. If articles come over, they come with impeachment managers (will be all DEM), and the case will be handled on its face. There will be no probe of how it got there.
Having viewed the Senate in action for years, I have no faith the process set out there will be sensible. it will be designed to protect the Senate and nothing else. The Senate won’t vote to remove Trump.

Back the corrupt SOB into a corner and make him (or her) lash out at you with hyperbole in desperation. When they do that, you’ve won.

Losing a debate when the facts are on your side only hurts your side and makes the corrupt sleaze bag politician look even stronger.

No, it’s not easy to do. That’s why IMO honest amateurs at debating shouldn’t try to debate experienced professional BS’ing con artist politicians. Leave it to the pros.

  31. Going to Senate trial actually worries me.

If the Lawfare group were the engineers for the house rules changes that allowed the sham we’ve seen in the House, it’s hard for me to believe that they don’t have a strategy they believe they can achieve in the Senate. Part of that scheme would most likely involve swamp senators letting the Democrats run the show in a roundabout and/or suddenly needing to “vote their conscience”. What worries me even more is if they have a plan for the Senate, they must also have a plan for the immense backlash from the American people that would surely follow.

Perhaps I’m worrying too much, but after seeing the blatant abuse of power and the brazen way they lie and seemingly break the law with impunity, it doesn’t seem that much of a stretch to believe they think they can pull this off and keep the country largely intact.

    • cboldt says:

The only thing saving Trump is the 2/3rds hurdle for conviction. Lawfare will have the DEM and press side parroting the House articles and pilloring all the GOP that vote against conviction. Schumer was at it already today, asserting the House process is fair, thorough, and just.

I think the lawfare people know they cannot get a removal in the senate. What they may be trying to do is to get a majority to say he’s guilty but fall short of the 2/3rds needed for removal. That way, they can say the President is guilty but we didn’t have the votes to remove him.
If Mitch let’s that happen, he won’t like the 2020 outcome for his senators.

If the Democrats impeach him, President Trump will wear it as a badge of honor. The Senate will certainly not convict President Trump, but unfortunately I think McConnell will keep a lid on the witness list and President Trump’s defense team will not have much leeway. The Senate trial will be quick. Pelosi’s own words today admitt that there has been an ongoing effort from the beginning to impeach the President. They thought they would have at least some bogus collusion or obstruction charge, but all they have is nothing. They see that, everyone sees that. Yet they are going through with it. That speaks volumes about their fear and hate. President Trump will not let the voters forget throughout the 2020 campaign what the Democrats did. The day is coming when the real criminal actors will be exposed, partly by Horowitz and more so by Durham and Barr. All this leads to a landslide burying the democrat party in 2020.

This will be a trial like no other in American history and will reveal the depths of corruption in both parties, the bureaucracy, the media, the state department, the intelligence community and military leadership. He will not let ANY of them escape until they have ALL been fully exposed. There will be nobody left in Washington DC who has NOT been exposed as traitorous to the nation.

And the fact that he has consistently used the word “perfect” to describe it? That is really weird, and I gotta believe it’s code for something that we’ll soon learn (which I’ll bet involves a TRAP his people set).

Yes there is some sort of significance to his using the term “perfect”. We don’t know the overall strategy he is employing but I think there are two clear elements in it. One is the use of the word “perfect” and the other is him touting his 95% approval rating among republicans, which he has repeated constantly. I don’t know why he is driving those two items home but he obviously needs to for some reason.
