House Intelligence Committee Impeachment Hearing – Day Two – 9:00am ET Livestream

Today at 9:00am ET, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence will hold the second day of open hearings for the impeachment of President Donald Trump. Todays testimony will come from former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch.

Marie Yovanovitch is a woman of dubious character who was removed from the administration prior to the July phone call between U.S. President Trump and Ukraine President Zelenskyy. Ms. Yovanovitch has coordinated both her deposition and public hearing comments with the Democrat staff of the committee.

  1. Please fellow treepers, we’re kidding ourselves if we think we’ve laid a glove on her. The Republican cross examination has been pathetic… I keep waiting for it to start. This is beyond frustrating… as much as I hate to say it, the DIMs are winning big time today, so far.

And PLEASE quit kissing her @ss with all the thanks for your outstanding service, etc. I can’t even tell a difference between the DIMs and the republicans!

The Minority council was terrible. I tried listening for any soundbite and I was lulled to sleep by his praise for her.

The Minority needs to step their game up and hammer her. She’s trying to give long winded answers to simple questions to waste time.

Hammer her? Here’s one: She said she felt lime the “Benghazi Four”. Of course, Marie, your outcome was much, much better. You could have gotten the Amb. Stephens treatment but you didn’t. And BTW, are you saying that your former bosses, BHO and HRC did not act appropriately during the Benghazi Massacre? You obviously think the “Benghazi Four” got a bad deal, who do you think presided over what happened? Did it occur to you then to run to Adam Schiff and shed tears about hoe terrible the BHO Administration handled the Benghazi attack? Or, did you keep your trap shut because your purpose in life is to fulfill the BHO agenda?

This witness is completely irrelevant. She has no first hand knowledge of anything in question with regard to the supposed accusations in the WB complaint

I don’t think the D’s are stupid enough to attempt to impeach POTUS for removing an ambassador appointed by the previous administration and replacing her. Doing so is clearly within his constitutional duties and responsibilities. I also don’t think the D’s are stupid enough to attempt to impeach POTUS for “mean” tweets.

So with that in mind, what difference does it make whether she was ripped to shreds by the R’s or not?

If the R’s were concerned about her they wouldn’t be spending their time getting WB statements made by Schiff into the record. At this point they’re ignoring the witness, she is THAT irrelevant

No, she’s relevant. If the Republs ask the right questions. Her deputy and she BOTH told the Ukrainiains to lay off investigating people and entities that were in league with their globalist, Soros-driven agenda, in DIRECT OPPOSITION to Trump once he came in.

CDA Kent demanding the drop two investigations into NGOs working to undermine Trump’s candidacy using USG and Soros money. In black and white.

She proved the fact beyond dispute that Biden knew ALL ABOUT HIS SON’S shenanigans. She admitted to the Q&A prep.

Dragging up McCain and the “gold star” family that used their tragedy to try to interfere in politics, in great dishonor to heir son.

She has enough time in to retire, why is she hanging on? Secretary Pompeo should review that position and eliminate it. Between her salary, COLA for being in the swamp, and benefits; I guarantee we’re paying at least $14,000 per student for her to grace them with her “knowledge”.

If her position is eliminated and she is within 3 years of retiring (she’s 3 years beyond), she can retire. If she opts not to she can bump out someone using her seniority but only if there is an opening she qualifies for. It’d be a shame if the only open position at the time is in Antarctica

While Stefanik is being cloned, the same should be done of Turner. He is a pit bull. First he hauls out numerous MSM headlines from 9/29/19 trumpeting Schiff’s announcement and assurance that the “whistleblower” will testify before the Intelligence Committee hearing. Included in this parade of headlines was at least one where Schiff trumpeted that “the whistleblower” had agreed to testify. Camera flashes on Schiff showed stoniness. Dead still. But those eyes.

Later, questioning Stefanik, he managed to get in Kerry’s compaign operative’s having travelled to Ukraine in 2004 and having meetings with the Ambassador and Ukrainian officials as well. He pushed this to the max and barely got in a comparison to Rudy Giuliani before Schiffless angrily called “time”…

As a retired female executive, I observe her lack of professionalism. She should not be dealing in her personal feelings, effects on her family, and all of that. Her record shows that she acted inappropriately in Ukraine, meddling in their local law enforcement and other issues. So much so that the remark was bandied about that the Geneva Convention rules applied to every place but Ukraine. (I think Kent even mentioned that.)

She has brought her own HR beef to a hearing on impeaching the President of the United States. I am appalled by her behavior. She has no business representing the United States in any capacity.

On another issue she was questioned about – is it appropriate for an ambassador to be partisan? Talk about a loaded question. If ambassadors are appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the duly-elected President in what is clearly a partisan election – we have two major parties – it is logical that ambassadors who agree with that President’s policies will be put in place.

He has just made a-point about what I call the “selective empathy” of the Left…they are so “concerned” and “moved” by this woman’s feelings…oh the pity! Yet the feelings of the men and women who REALLY put their lives on the line on our border, policing our cities are of no interest. They insult and demean these folks who just go to work to do their jobs FOR US every day of the week. They besmirch them, insult them, ridicule them…

They remain accountable for their (should be “first hand”) testimony and face “10 years in prison or a $10,000 fine or both” for lying. Apparently, “Shifty Schiff” never read the paragraph at the bottom of the form.
