Maria Bartiromo and Clete Willems Discuss U.S-China Trade Discussions…

Good interview between Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo and former White House trade official Clete Willems.  Essentially Willems confirms the current outlook of the Trump administration that a deal with China is not likely in the short-term; however, Willems is optimistic of the probability in the longer term (as China realizes consequences).

    Willems certainly appears to “get” and even agree with PDJT’s strategy since it is now fairly obvious to all but the most obtuse (like..the Globalist ring-kissing RINOs and Obstructionist Dimms) that the strategy is working as the Administration likely anticipated, to America’s ultimate benefit.

    Also none of the “panel” participants appear to agree with the impositions upon American businesses imposed by the Dimms’ Green New Deal nor Fauxcahontas’ attempt to bog down the USMCA approval process with labor-focused and environmental-focused special interests.

    I don’t know the backgrounds of two of the three panelists but in this discussion it was a pretty pro-Trump/MAGA group.

    Maria, who I love, stated one flawed primise, I submit.
    Said something like;
    “If you can’t make,a trade deal with your “friends”, well then,..”

    They just don’t GET it. PDJT doesn’t think of it that way, nor should he. Its like he,said about Russia;
    They aren’t our ENEMY, they are our COMPETITOR.

    Looking at,TRADE, the US HAS no “ftiends”; ALL countries are COMPETITORS.

    Name a country that HASN’T been screwing the US, for MANY, MANY Years, on TRADE.

    EU was specifically formed as a TRADING BLOCK, to give them more “clout” in Trade, AGAINST the US.

    Another way to look at this is;
    “Hey, nothing PERSONAL! Its just BUSINESS.”

    EU, Mexico, Canada, Japan, China, Turkey or freaking Romania.
    NONE of these countries are our “Friend” when it comes to TRADE.
    They are our COMPETITORS.

    Like in BUSINESS. My company puts out the best product we can. Yours does the same. If my product is much bettervthan yours, so your company goes out of business, well thats on you.

    And the second mistake they are all making, thinking that PDJT sees a necesity to GET a trade deal, for the perception that thats a “Win”.

    He doesn’t. But, I’m glad these experts,don’t GET it, cause the longer they keep judging PDJT by standards established by his prececessors (fighting the last,war) the better.

    No trade deal with China is possible or desirable, and I DO like how thatcidiot said if it doesn’t happen soon, the US will move on.

    NO Trade deal with EU, for the,same reason. Firstly, they are China-lite. A Conmunist, centrally controlled system.
    They can not compete with US, on an “equal footing, level playing field”, any more than China can.

    Not at,ALL sure PDJT really cares if USMCA passes, so longvas NAFTA is buried. Its a MULTI-national agreement, which makes NO sense. Mexico isn’t tsriffing our Dairy at 297%, and Canada isn’t allowing 10’s of millions of illegals and drugs to pour,across our Northern border. Point is, we have,DIFFERENT issues with EACH country.

    Hence, BI-lateral agreements make sense, multi-laterals don’t.

    They have ALL been SCREWING the US, foe many years. Turnabout’s fair play.

    “But Hey, its just BUSINESS! Nothing PERSONAL. We’re not ENEMIES, just COMPETITORS, see?”

    Over thirty months from January 2017, media’s kiddycar commentators are beginning to comprehend that ChiComs’ muscle-bound despotism has been dining out on Grand Theft “exfiltration” of America’s innovative info-tech and other sectors since Reagan’s time.

    Alas for Hsi & Co., those days are past… just as the Yellow Emperor’s subreptive Belt-and-Road initiative looms crucial to Peking’s supply-chains, Pres. Trump’s tariffs have cut Hsi’s air-hose like SPECTRE’s henchman offing the sunken bomber pilot in Ian Fleming’s “Thunderball” (1965).

    Nope. The CCP is planning for war. They say it, and their actions signal it. In fact in some ways it has already started. Every dollar that they make will be used to kill US troops. Every plane they buy. Every technology they steal.

    There is no peaceful, happy outcome here. Any deal that’s good for China will result, long term, in the destruction of America. Wishful thinking won’t make the enemy stop being an enemy. Unfortunately we are living in a replay of the 1930s.

    No deal is the winning deal. Otherwise, it’s charity. China gets their ass kicked in the real of ideas. People who are free to innovate, take risks and build their own wealth are without a doubt way more creative than an entire population under the communist jackboot. Innovation with a gun to your head is not innovation at all. If the human spirit cannot be allowed to enjoy the fruits of its endeavors it will die even in sunlight. The people of China are not free and neither is their market. Therefore, the only trade deal that can be made is a deal with the chinese govt to sell us products they have stolen from the efforts and creativity of our own people and economy. How is that a bargain at any price? No deal is the best deal.
