Incredible – President Donald Trump Historic Visit to North Korea….

The world was watching history being made and overnight millions of Americans stayed up to watch the first sitting U.S. president cross into North Korea.  President Trump and North Korea’s Chairman Kim Jong-un took a massive step toward deconfliction and peace.

An incredible moment.  WATCH:

.

CTH doesn’t want to devalue the history of this moment by over analyzing the dynamic. This is an incredible moment in history as U.S. President Donald Trump carries the hopes of tens-of-millions toward a peaceful outcome in North Korea.

At 3:44pm ROK Time, President Trump walked out of Freedom House towards the military demarcation line between South and North Korea, located between the two famous blue huts.

The North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, wearing his traditional Mao suit, was walking down the stairs towards him on the Northern side of the line.

At 3:45pm, the President Trump and Chairman Kim leaders shook hands over the concrete slab that forms the military demarcation line between South and North Korea. “Good to see you again”, said Kim in English, adding that he would have “never expected” to see President Trump “at this place”.

At 3:46pm, President Trump crossed the demarcation line, becoming the first sitting US president to ever step into North Korea. President Trump then walked a few meters into the North together with Kim. “Good progress, good progress”, he said as the two leaders crossed back to the South.

Asked to recount the moment and first words with Kim when they approached the North-South line of demarcation, President Trump later said he asked Kim: “would you like me to come across. Kim said he would be honored. It was my honor to do it,” said Pres Trump.

After Chariman Kim crossed into South Korea the two leaders briefly spoke to media before greeting South Korean President Moon Jae-in (grinning ear to ear), and then going into the Freedom House for bilateral discussions. Trump and Kim talked for around an hour.  Notably Moon Jae-in went into a separate room to allow privacy, and President Trump’s closest staff also left after a few minutes. Suffice to say, the outcome was much more than a handshake; and initial reactions from Asian media were stunning and excited.

.

President Trump, Chairman Kim and Moon Jae-in emerged from the Freedom House at 4:51pm after the Trump-Kim bilateral meeting that lasted more than 45 minutes. Together all three leaders walked back together towards the demarcation line between North and South Korea. President Trump and Chairman Kim exchanged words for a few seconds and shook hands before the North Korean leader crossed back, alone, to the North of Panmunjom at 4:53pm.

President Trump and President Moon debrief the media (prompted just hit play):

South Korean President Moon said of the Trump-Kim agreement to set up new diplomatic teams as overcoming a hurdle. Speaking through a translator, Moon called it good news for the 80-million people on the Korean peninsula seeking an end to nuclear weapons. Calling it “a big step forward.”

So….. why are the jackal media behaving like a mob to get to the president? Either by microphone or camera and then they do not use it for public consumption. I never understood that. They are shouting rudely Mr. President, Mr. president, what about……? And then we never see this in the MSM.

    • So true And they seem to be yelling at the members of the NK press to get out of the way when Pres Trump and Chairman Kim are in the NK zone where they can not follow.

When the NK press gets in between the American press and the Pres Trump the American press very rudely shouts for them to get out of they way so they can get photos of Pres Trump and Chairman Kim with no NK press people in them.

      Rude little jerks.

Good insight. Kim is in a position where, if he doesn’t act like a crazed jackal himself, the crazed jackals around him will take him out. So he pretty-much HAS to act viciously to save his own skin.
Not that that explains his preference for murder in savage ways, but it’s doubtless part of the mix of reasons. The system he’s in has its own momentum.

Great comment .just look at Vietnam how the democrats and some republicans pulled out and left thousands to die. i wasn’t born till 1966 but I’ve done lots of studying about the USA involvement in that conflict if we never had any intention of winning why get involved and I think how we left Vietnam hurts our creditable to this day..but at least we finally have a President that knows what he’s doing and I bet one thing or

If President Trump makes a promise to any country’s leader I would bet President Trumps word would be good as gold I trust that if our President makes a deal with North Korea as long as Kim abided by the agreement President. Trump would do the same.It took a lot of guts for both men to met on such short notice especially sence China’s President came to North Korea for 2 days last week. This whole situation with China ,North Korea and the USA has the potential of having many diffrent outcomes but I trust President Trump he’s trying to change the World for the better also he’s taking on big problems that the establishment polititilons have not done o e think but kick the problem down the road and throw money at the problems..if our country had a few more Presidents like President Trump when he leaves office in 2025 we might be able to promote peace thru strength Reagan and Trump are two
Presidents that understood that the only way to get a bullies attention you have to kick his teeth in not appease these dictators I pray to the good Lord that he’s continues to keep our President safe and give him the wisdom to keep on not only Making America Great but also showing the world that we all can still accomplish our dreams .I’m so proud of our President for being such a great leader who gives a carp what the Mainstream Media and the Rest of our desperate enemies puke out there mouths.Remember the only people that matters have two eyes and they all can see plainly what a great Job our President is doing .I knew President Trump had the potential to be a great President ,but he’s already succeed
why beyond my wildest dreams especially if you take into account of all the opposition he’s faced at ever turn he’s one of a kind and I’m so happy I’ve got to live in a time that we have a real American President I was to young to understand how great President Reagan was but I can recognize how much damage a sorry establishment President can do to this country from 1988 to 2016 our Presidens when nothing but figure heads bought off at ever turn compare the past 28 years of leadership from the Presidents office till now.we all have been robbed of a lot of our freedoms and most our wealth has Been lost to China and
and fighting stupid wars we had no intention of winning ..Thank you Mister President I’m so proud of you and happy to see that a real leader can change our great Country and the world for the better you understood the men and women that gave there lives so we .can raise our flag and be proud of what it stands for .Americ. Is the land of the free and the only Country that stands in the way of a living hell on earth we l

need to support our President and what American stands for if we do do those 2 things America furture it bright .we all are proud of our President and nobody i imean nobody could even come close to doing the work for our Citizens that President is doing you know he’s turned Washington DC inside out and our great President don’t take no for an answer he don’t take excuses for poor job performance and he also knows when you hiring top ranking personal that these hired have to be loyal to the Presidents agenda .Remember when Our President asked Fib director Comey if he would be loyal him and Comey gave some vessel answer instead of kissing his butt like he did Barry Sorento.man our President have been put thru hell and he keeps on working to help our Nation I’m for one am impressed and thankful your setting in the big seat you earned it and by the grace of God you will be doing what you love being our President and your blazing a new source for what a President of this nation suppost to do .I’m going to enjoy the next 5 plus years your doing one hell of a job and it’s a lot of fun seeing you succeed .Thank You And God Bless President Donald J Trump..one of these days they will be someone come along and the lazy media might even compare that person to you but I’m sorry they did not make but one President Trump.same as they never made but one George Washington true leaders don’t come around often but when they do there never ..forgotten….

This is such a delicate tapdance. The stupid press won’t recognize it. Is it theater? Of course. It has to be. It must be recognized that Kim has so much to answer for that the opening will be slow as molasses. The U.S. does not have a great record that instills trust among dictators. Qaddafi found out the hard way. He gave up everything to be among the accepted and ended up dead and sodomized.

Anyway, towards the end when POTUS, Kim, and S. Korea guy are standing around talking and the SS and security guards are pushing the media away, just trying to keep the animals at bay, there is this shot of the three leaders talking (there is some translation audible) I had to smile because would you believe there was Tucker Carlson standing only a few feet away, I think the only media person that close, totally freely standing there taking photos with his phone! What a coupe for Tucker…can’t wait to hear his reporting on it! (around the 7:12 mark on the video).

As I’ve posted before. The South has, for decades used the power of their capitalism to convert Northern agents provocateur from Northern Communism to Southern capitalism. From Kim believers to rather fre spirits. These weren’t just run-of-the-mill infiltrators but diehard members of the ruling Communist Party’s military wing.

I believe that if Trump can convince Kim that the US has zero interest in invading his country, can make him stay in place militarily until he’s comfortable with that and, with the South, foster an economic boom in the North – even if Kim takes all of the credit for himself – the North will stabilize. The North and South did have a working, joint industrial zone in the DMZ but the North’s screwups blew that. I’m betting that if Ttrump can convionce Kim to reopen, expand and clone those sites throughout the North Kim can at least partially come around.

The Koreans, especially the North, aren’t deeply in love with China. One thing I learned from gleaning Korean War American POW records was that the Koreans had no great love for the Chinese and when the Chinese army entered the war it stole from the Koreans what little they had. US POWs were sharing their meager rations with the locals who’d come to the wire to beg for food, the Chinese were living off of the land and leaving the North Koreans to starve. Kim, I believe, is no different. He tolerates the Chinese as his protection from the South and the US while China tolerates Kim to keep the US from having a footprint right on the Chinese border.

I believe that if Trump can get the North to be less defensive and more economically successful he can get the North closer to the South and away from China. That would be Nobel Prize worthy …if the Nobel Committee has stopped handing them out for just being black and breathing.

  15. This momentous news reminded me of an article about Donald Trump written in1984. A NYT reporter spent a whirlwind day with the 37-year-old “man of the hour.” The reporter is no Trump fan but media snark was nowhere near today’s level. Toward the end of the day, the young businessman speaks to the reporter about weightier subjects.

“He talked about his plans for the future, as much as anyone who operates on spontaneous combustion can. Mr. Trump says whatever else he gets into he will undoubtedly stay in real estate. He hints several times at a deal in the works, a big deal, very Trumpish, regarding television, but he will not divulge details.”

“The football thing is cute, Trump Tower and the piano and all of that, it’s all cute, but what does it mean? he says, sounding what borders on a note of uncharacteristic despair. Asked to explain, he adds: What does it all mean when some wacko over in Syria can end the world with nuclear weapons?”

“He says that his concern for nuclear holocaust is not one that popped into his mind during an recent made-of-television movie. He says that it has been troubling him since his uncle, a nuclear physicist, began talking to him about it 15 years ago. His greatest dream is to personally do something about the problem and, characteristically, Donald Trump thinks he has an answer to nuclear armament: Let him negotiate arms agreements – he who can talk people into selling $100 million properties to him for $13 million. Negotiation is an art, he says, and I have a gift for it.”

And now, THE BEST PART: “The idea that he would ever be allowed to go into a room alone and negotiate for the United States, let alone be successful in disarming the world, seems the naive musing of an optimistic deluded young man who has never lost at anything he has tried. But he believes that through years of making his views known and through supporting candidates who share his views, it could someday happen.” HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Mr. Trump then states he has no interest in running for office – just as he did on the Oprah about 5 years later. Great article – well worth your time. Funny, no one accused him of a being a racist or a sexist, in NYC of all places, until he challenged the Bush/Clinton cabal! The lesson: Don’t let the media ruin your day, ever – GOD IS IN CONTROL.

I was four years old when JFK made his one-way trip to Dallas. I knew something bad had happened, but in my four-year-old eyes, it was something the grownups were concerned about; it didn’t make much of an impression with me.
I was nine when Neil Armstrong stepped onto the Moon’s surface. I knew it was a big deal, and I knew it was a singular moment in human history. But having been raised on science fiction and Star Trek, to me it was a natural progression, an inevitable step if you will. “Well, of course Man walked on the Moon, who expected anything different?”
I believe that what we witnessed yesterday/this morning is another such historical pivot point in the course of human events. I think my emotion can be described as “giddy.”
I keep thinking back to the movie “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” when the Frenchman is delivering his lecture to Indy.
“You and I, we are merely passing through history. But this, this IS history.”
I am giddy that I am here, alive, and living through this world-shaking event. I oten point out the triumvirate of Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, and Pope John Paul II. Together, those three individuals shook the world.
And here we have, one person doing the same. Our President. Donald John Trump.

How many people here honestly believe that President Trump had no idea this would happen?

Remember that he communicates with Chairman Kim using handwritten letters, so there is no possiibilty of being intercepted by the cabal.

Remember also that just a few days ago Kim stated that he receidied a letter from President Trump and it had “excellent content”.

Also note that we probably don’t know what other letters the two leaders have exchanged.

President Trump knew darn well Chairman Kim would agree to meet him in Panmunjom, and he wouldn’t have publicly suggested it otherwise.

During the “bi-lat” Kim mentioned (paraphrasing) “people think we set this up with your letters…” and “I was surprised to get your invitation…” The audio is hard to make out during the translation, with all those annoying camera whirs and other background noises, but that is what I could make out. And POTUS did thank the secret service for their hard work (and I got the impression Pres Moon was agreeing) to set up the meeting with such short notice. Also, when Kim first greets POTUS at the border, he (or his translator) states in English, “I never expected to meet you at this place.” To me, it sounds like this meeting really was a rush, and not pre-planned.

Talleyrand defined diplomacy as “the art of saying ‘Nice doggie!’ while reaching for a rock”. Yesterday, Trump said “Nice doggie!” – but no sanctions were lifted, no military withdrawn, no bribes paid. In all likelihood, nothing substantial will come of it; but as my son said, “At least Trump isn’t paying for the privilege of having smoke blown up his ass.”

The newspapers are so bad today. I checked out the covers at http://www.newseum.org that shows all the newspaper front covers around the world. If you look through the US covers, I estimate that less than 1/4 even put a picture of the DMZ meeting up. To me, this is final proof that newspapers are every bit as bad as fake news television; local and national.
… and this is extremely dangerous to our democracy.
