Several Media Reports Claim Covington Students Invited to White House…

Earlier today President Trump noted the evil smears, and aspersions by Fake News, cast against Nick Sandmann and the students of Covington High School.

A few hours later Fox News host Laura Ingraham was the first media person to claim that Covington High School students were going to attend a White House event {See Here}.   Minutes later Zero Hedge joined in {See Here}.  Then, a few hours later, Ben Shapiro’s Daily Wire, citing their independent sources, confirmed the students were going to visit the White House {See Here}.  It was off to the races from there.

However, despite President Trump’s personal sympathy toward the terrible injustice done to young Mr. Sandmann; including the school students and the larger Kentucky high school reputation; it is unlikely the claims of a pending White House visit are credible.

There are times when the best intents of any president are overruled by those charged with defending and protecting the ‘office of the presidency’.  A divisive controversy that could potentially backfire on the White House, is a case-study example in political caution.

The Daily Wire article holds the clue which lends caution (emphasis mine):

On Tuesday, Nick Sandmann, the student from Covington Catholic High school who was at the center of the controversy with Native American Nathan Phillips last Friday near the Lincoln Memorial, confirmed to The Daily Wire that the White House has reached out to host the students. Sandmann said, “The President wants to send a plane down to get us.” (read more)

There is a difference between something the President ‘wants to‘ do; and something the office of the presidency is comfortable actually doing.  The difference between those two points is where factors of divisive outcomes are gauged.

A familiar reference point might be the FISA document declassification issue.  The President might want to declassify documents, but the office of the president (lawyers charged with protecting the president) may have an entirely different reason for counseling the opposite position.

Bottom line, don’t take surface claims as predictive for actual outcomes…. there’s always a bigger landscape that must be reviewed.  Perhaps the Covington students will visit the White House; perhaps not….

In an era where the media rushes speculation into print just because it meets their ideological objectives,… pause when the reports are overly bold in either direction.

By all accounts they are good decent kids from good honorable families.  The media went bananas…. way, over the top bananas…. they exposed themselves too much.

Damage control.

To save face, and affirm they are credible agents of influence, the same corrupt media executives will attempt to control the narrative as it reverses; that means the shape-shifting media manipulators will reach out to exploit the families purely for the media’s interest.

Honest and decent people, when they become victims of media abuse, consistently fall for the follow-up trickery and promises of the media.

The cycle of abuse is a universal truth….

Honestly, I think it would set a bad precedent to invite these kids to the White House, it’s like winning a trophy just because you participated.

Laura, who I’m not a fan of is drawing in viewership only to feed of the hysteria.

I love when they all preach that MSM covered this story to death and yet that’s exactly what they themselves are doing, go figure. It’s like click bait or a “B” rated movie, sucks you in and it’s 2+ hours of your life you’ll never get back.

Laura Ingraham talks to the President at times, so I would not sell her short. And the story should be covered. Someone should expose the lies of the Leftists. This whole fabricated story by Leftists media ( Fox jumped in) is a disgrace. But the utter abomination is how adults jumped in to condemn, harass, and threaten these boys.

            I understand.

Just like the children who rely on their parents will always look to them for guidance and security even into their adults lives. I look at at things differently than I’m sure most people do and even though I love my children, good or bad, they need to grow up and learn with their own experiences.

My point being? We have a tendency to always look to government to fix what ails us and this why we have politicians thinking they know what’s best for us and like clock work, we continue the loop without ever breaking away. We never learn anything when we win, we only learn from our mistakes and that’s what makes us who we are. Unfortunately this young generation cannot grasp this yet. In due time a sociopath will always dig a hole they can’t escape from and this is all the exposure they need.

We all saw the truth and yes, even the other side saw this too but you will never win an argument with a fool who thrives on emotion so why ruin your day trying.

This isn’t an argument. The left is threatening violence to these children, their school had to close down today because of credible threats. All because of a doctored video.

They can do this to anyone. Someone has to stand up and say enough. That is what the President inviting them and the press coverage is about.

You can’t just sit back and be polite when someone is trying to destroy an entire group of people and anyone associated with them. You need to stand up and fight.

I agree with you, I don’t think these children need to be exposed to any more publicity. They need to get back to their routine and let this controversy die down. They are not heroes, just normal children caught up in a bad situation and they were abused by the media. They have been vindicated by many and the others who still find them to be in some way responsible are not going to change their minds. I hope there are lawsuits for civil damages and criminal for those making bomb threats etc. I hope the President just lets this subside, he gave his support in a tweet and that is enough. Laura Ingraham seems to have mistaken herself for a WH spokesman in announcing this, as you said driving viewers to her program.

Perhaps it’s the domination the media holds in the public forum, maybe it’s the allure of false promises, but in the aftermath of a media driven character assassination, it seems to benefit the attackers far more than the victims.

Phillips has made some claims to the media about his military service. He has worded them very…………”curiously”. Now, the Washington Post has backtracked on his Vietnam veteran status. Others are following.

The comical part is that there are several “news” outlets that have covered him over the years, and a few are “editing” the claims they have made about his Vietnam “service”. And even more comically, in the “highest standards” of “journalistic integrity” a couple of them made the edits without putting a time and date stamp on them. One outlet got busted for doing an edit on a ten year old article. The author is currently getting lit up on Twitter. It blows my mind how these “journalists” behave when they get BUSTED.

Apparently the only place he came “back” from was either Topeka or California. Why do reporters go to such lengths to protect him? The writer who edited 11 stories, written over many years, apparently changed direct quotes. Or so it was alleged in comments. It’s hard to say who’s correct given that the stories don’t specify what was changed and somehow the originals have been memory-holed. I looked for one on the Wayback Machine and there was only one copy–saved from yesterday–even though the story was written years ago. My guess is the revised version was moved to a new location, burying the URL of the prior story. Why do reporters take the blame for him, as if they were mistaken (iow, bad reporters)? I wonder what he claimed in the documentary.

Some of these battles are best left to We the People. Prez has many pressing issues to deal with that are beyond our scope to do *anything* about.

It’s only fair that, when we can do something on our own, we SHOULD.

So far, I think we’ve got this.

It’s time everyone start calling out Nathan Phillips for the despicable human being he is for telling the damned lies about these kids. He called then beasts, a lynch mob and has stood up for the Black Hebrew filth. He lied when he said they were chanting build the wall.

He has told several lies about why he approached the kids. First he said he was going to the Lincoln Memorial and the kids blocked him and surrounded him. Then he said they were chanting build the wall so that’s why he approached them. Then he said they were about to attack the Black Hebrew scum.

Nathan Phillips is a damned liar and miserable human being. The Omaha tribe needs to strip him of his elder pipe bearer title, he has dishonored it.

20 million Americans still incorrectly believe these ‘nazi #MAGA students’ were harassing an elderly Native American. The image of Trump showcasing these kids around the White House is exactly what the extreme left wants to see.

Trump should focus on adding to his intimidating track record of producing results for America. Let the kids of Covington take on the slanderous networks in a court of law.

Just days after joining the House Financial Services Committee (alongside such luminaries as Maxine Waters and Al Green), freshman congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) is among a group of the more progressive lawmakers joining the House Oversight Committee, Politico reported Tuesday.

The socialist justice warriorette – and latest poster-person (we are trying to be PC) for the ‘center’ of the Democratic party (which is just to the right of Marx) – will join fellow freshmen Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.), and Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), according to Politico

Did anyone see Nick Sandmann’s twitter feed befor he got banned? I will tell you, he Was victimized but is no victim. He fights. He responded so some celeb who had tweet attacked him by saying something like “lady, my generation ain’t buying what you Marxist leftists are selling” and right after the incident Friday he said that Phillips wouldn’t be in his situation in the first place if his ancestors had had their own big beautiful wall. I mean, the kid’s a fighter, and I was somewhat worried he would tweet something that would come back badly on him.

O God, give these young men and their families strength and courage to carry on.
In these extraordinary times when they might not have it,
They need strength to confront those who threaten them,
They need your protection against all evils and seductions.

They need new found courage to bear unkindness, mockery and hypocrisy,
We pray for them to have the courage to fight against the devils here on earth,
We pray for them to have strength to stand up against all terrors both foreign and domestic,
We need you to bless them with your strength to overcome political troubles, temptations,
distractions, darkness and the ungodly wickedness of liberalism,
Protect these faithful young men, O Lord, against sadness, suffering and above all fear.
We pray and ask you for your loving help, dear God,
Strengthen them with Your love and Your grace,
Console them with Your blessed Presence,

Grant us all the courage to persevere,
We remain your faithful servants Lord, Jesus, now and forever.
    Amen.

Apparently Nathan Phillips told a few other lies as well. It seems that he enlisted in the Marine Reserves in 1972. Far from being a Marine Recon Ranger in Viet Nam as he claimed (there is no such position. It’s the Army that has Rangers, not the Marines) he was a refrigerator mechanic while stationed in Nebraska, went AWOL three times while stationed at El Toro in California and was discharged in 1976 with the rank of private. Check out Gateway Pundit for more information.

In other words, the only thing true that he said was that he was in the Marines. The rest was a bunch of BS.

  35. 100% Fed Up: “Now…the Catholic News Agency is reporting that the night before Phillips and his group of leftist agitators confronted the group of young Covington Catholic High School boys, security at the Washington D.C Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception was forced to stop them from entering and disrupting their evening mass.
‘The group of 20 demonstrators was stopped by shrine security as it tried to enter the church during its 5:15 pm Vigil Mass, according to a shrine security guard on duty during the Mass.'”…….

Democrats just hauled the Little Sisters back into court despite their victory.
Kamala Harris is trying to label the Knights of Columbus as a hate group–something she would never do to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Note the recent attack on Mrs. Pence and Christian schools.
And now this Professional Race Hustler is bullying Catholic kids and invading their worship services.

This is starting to smell like an organized Democrat attack on the civil rights of Catholics, aimed at Catholic judges.

Which is fitting–Jack Kennedy wouldn’t recognize this bigot thug party.

I try to give as few clues (except the times I am drunk and don’t know better) about my heritage, but you start messing with Kentucky boys, I get a little pissed off.

I’ve got a great grandma “native American”, which is a ridiculous term someone came up with…call em by tribe or just call them an American, pick one…in my back pocket (who passed away many years ago, Lord bless her), that is a part of my mostly Welsh and Irish self. I didn’t get force fed acorns and bison meat, but I did have to eat a lot of corned beef and cabbage growing up because “tradition”. Damn Irish. And also damn their potatoes for every stinking meal.

With that said, all of this is horrendously stupid. Reality says nothing that happened should have been a story other than “a bunch of black guys in a weird cult hurled insults at some high school kids, then some Indian guy played a stupid drum in a kid’s face”.

But nah, the media had a heyday with this (exactly one day since that is as long as they could push it before the actual video came out).

Dude was sitting there with a total “wtf is happening right now” smile while a 64 year old injun “Vietnam veteran” just not quite old enough to have actually fought in combat in Vietnam spanked a calf leather drum completely out of beat with anything in his face, and the media and all of Hollywood lost their crap over it.

Seriously, what timeline are we living in? AND…oh boy…AND somehow this is all Trump’s fault. I mean, you can’t script write this crap it is so unpredictably predictable.

This past weekend is why I no longer write on my political satire blog nukingpolitics.com. I simply cannot keep up with how crazy these people are. Satire is dead.

The degree of defamation of these young men and their school is incalculable. If these fellows apply to colleges for admission and are denied because of these outrageously false and defamatory smears, they and the school have every right to file and win massive lawsuits against the entire media empire. This is the organized attempt by the Left to permanently destroy young people and their school. The level of this hatred can well derail any hopes these young men have for the future. Some well-known and wealthy people have called for violent assaults against them and even the deaths of these minors. Those behind this are terrorist enemies of the United States and should be criminally prosecuted, stripped of ALL of their assets and shown no mercy by the courts and the American people. Put these criminal terrorists in courtrooms before juries and let the reckoning begin immediately.

    From link:

“The map of reality is not reality. Even the best maps are imperfect. That’s because they are reductions of what they represent. If a map were to represent the territory with perfect fidelity, it would no longer be a reduction and thus would no longer be useful to us. A map can also be a snapshot of a point in time, representing something that no longer exists. This is important to keep in mind as we think through problems and make better decisions.”

I think I can’t be shocked anymore, but this whole fiasco has floored me. That established media outlets ran a video and story from an anonymous Twitter account (which Twitter has now suspended because it was a fake bot acct) without any confirmation or fact-checking! That the Left wouldn’t be losing their minds over the Black hate group calling the boys faggots! Crackers! And the one black student a n—–! Wow. That all kinds of journalists and actors called for violence against them and doxxing. ( One of the students house has already been vandalized according to one journalist but I don’t remember who.) It’s just the most appalling thing yet.
