President Trump Releases Additional Statement on DOJ Special Counsel Appointment…

President Donald Trump held an informal luncheon with news reporters and TV anchors today in advance of the upcoming international visit.  Brett Baier reports President Trump was relaxed, warm and comfortable and showing no change in disposition from all prior encounters. Most of the discussion was off the record, however the president did release the following response to a question from one of the participants at the meeting:

Reporter Question:You made a point about the special counselor and and you believe it hurts this country” —

President Trump: “I believe it hurts our country terribly, because it shows we’re a divided, mixed-up, not-unified country. And we have very important things to be doing right now, whether it’s trade deals, whether it’s military, whether it’s stopping nuclear… all of the things that we discussed today. And I think this shows a very divided country.

It also happens to be a pure excuse for the Democrats having lost an election that they should have easily won because of the Electoral College being slanted so much in their way. That’s all this is. I think it shows division, and it shows that we’re not together as a country. And I think it’s a very, very negative thing. And hopefully, this can go quickly, because we have to show unity if we’re going to do great things with respect to the rest of the world.”

  1. Sylvia Avery says:

Okay, folks. I have my doubts about Mueller and the Special Counsel process just like many of you have expressed. It looks like the Deep State is winning.

HOWEVER, let’s shake it off. We don’t have time for that. We know, we have seen, it has been proven over and over that PDJT is a winner, a “killer” if you will. He is not some naive, foolish blunderer without plans and purpose. Don’t fall into the trap of writing him off. He has got this, and he has the power of our Lord protecting and supporting him. Never doubt that. He also has our support. No one likes the media or finds them trustworthy. Trump has us, and he has our prayers and our actions.

There isn’t much I can do, but I figure I can do this much. I am identifying a list of Republicans on Capitol Hill who either need praise for standing up for our President (won’t be much of THAT) or they need to be reminded that there are Trump supporters out there. Now, they don’t care about people who aren’t in their state or their district, but I am collecting addresses from post offices or other buildings that are in the state or district. Short, simple messages like: Why don’t I see you on TV supporting our President? I’ll remember this at election time.

That and pray is all I know to do and all I am able to do right now, other than to be prepared in case this cold civil war turns hot. I cheer every time I see a treeper talking about getting organized locally. I think that is super important. Unfortunately, I live in the bluest little old corner of the world so that isn’t too effective for me.

    Let’s roll!

Is it possible that President Trump wants Lieberman’s name leaked at this particular time to quiet the left? After all he will not be in the country and it certainly gives the left and the media a bone. Perhaps he has no intention of using Lieberman at all? Wondering-

The deep state is not winning, but I agree it “looks” like they are. Looks can be very deceiving! God is orchestrating the stories and events beautifully and it is a wonderment to my eyes and heart to be a witness watching it all unfold.

Love your plan of action Sylvia 😀. I can’t do much due to health issues except fervently pray, share articles, and trust the Lord to restore our country back to we the people. The gospel will continue to go out as a result which is the ultimate goal and plan behind all of this. It IS a spiritual battle. Satan loses every time. Praise the Lord! We all just need to keep praising the Lord.

Fe, I’m in a similar position. But I believe so firmly in the power of prayer I think that may be the most important thing we can do. I for one give in too easily to pessimism and I think it is really important that we bear each other up when we stumble and keep on doing our part.

I always look forward to your comments. Your faith and trust inspire me and encourage me and remind me to turn to prayer. It may not seem like much to you, but it means a great deal to me.

I had moments of doubt several times today about how this would turn out. Each time, I went to the Lord and he led to me verses where he brought up a leader and when it looked like all was lost, the Lord intervened and kicked the plotters to the curb. My life experience has taught me to believe in Him when He leads me to His Word. I am at peace and know we will be fine through His power.

I heard a very good explanation from a former NSA person about this: he expects Comey to get off and no investigation because it is his job to protect the swamp like it was Comey’s. So why did the President ( or DOJ) do this? Any investigation will lead to Clinton, Obama, the DNC, Podesta and the FBI itself. In fact, this guy thinks Comey ordered the assassination of Seth Rich and that investigation will go no nowhere. So what does Trump get out of it? A quiet Congress! A Congress that is willing to shut up about the Russians. He is NOT a Special Prosecutor – so nobody is charged or going to be charged with a crime. Yes Comey deserves the orange jumpsuit; in exchange for Mueller, Comey goes away and the Justice Dept becomes free to prosecute the others. This guy also speculates that someone in the DC swamp will agree to throw Clinton under the bus and she’ll be prosecuted. Trump also gets to advance his agenda. IMHO, it was orchestrated and I think that is why Trump threw threw out his tweet about those tapes.

      emailed both my senators this

I am sick of this inhumane treatment of Donald Trump who is the President of the United States of America. Every Republican in Congress who does not stand up and defend President Trump, those who do not support his agenda, are making a mockery of what should be the most dignified office in all of the world.

Trump supporters will not stop our support of President Trump regardless of what schemes the Lying Media and the Progressive party come up with, our support of President Trump will never waver. I and we resent the enemies of America, the lying propaganda arm of the MSM and their DNC political allies with their attempts to subvert our Constitution while slandering our President and their attempts to prevent our President from doing his duty.

We are sick of the violence, the threat of violence and the rhetoric coming from the Progressives whose side lost the election.

Time to do your duty Sir, it is time to take a stand and support President Trump both publicly and privately. It is time to denounce the attacks on President Trump. It is time to end the Witch Hunt against the man We the People elected to be President.

I will not donate a dime to the Republican party for any reason and I will work to try and make sure as many incumbent Republicans lose their seats in Congress.

Sylvia, just to assuage your well based skepticism. I found a small quote by Alan Dershowitz this morning on Breitbart.

      http://www.breitbart.com/big-journalism/2017/05/18/dershowitz-special-counsel-bad-idea/

The entire article is interesting but here is the best quote:

“The only legitimate targets of a special counsel, Dershowitz says, would be “those current and former intelligence officials who willfully leaked classified and highly secret information to the media” over the past several months.”

So, putting 2+2 together, it may be that since a special counsel works IN SECRET and in conjunction with a grand jury, that Mueller was was really hired to investigate the leaks in Trump Tower and the White House.

A glimmer of strategy by Rosenstein? He has been in the FBI long enough to review the true evidence so far, no?

Republican National Committee Chair Ronna Romney McDaniel questioned reports Thursday that President Trump fired former FBI Director James Comey because he wanted the agency to drop its investigation into former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

“If Comey really thought the president had crossed a line he would have reported it and he didn’t,” Ronna Romney McDaniel said on Fox News Radio. “There is an investigation that is going to take place, we are going to get to the bottom of that.”

Despite a series of media ‘bombshells’ this week regarding the Trump administration, including the Comey memo, McDaniel called on Republicans to unite behind the commander in chief.

“We need to rally around our president right now. He’s had unprecedented obstruction from the Democrats and the media. They are coming after him with everything, and this is the time for our party to be rallying around our leader, which is our president, who the people voted to represent them,” she said.

I think this is more a case where this woman sees the writing on the wall and is warning the republicans not to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Looking at the Seth Rich case as an example:

If we consider, as a conservative estimate, that 50% of Americans go about their daily lives not too interested in politics, a murder case like this will pique more interest than the usual political blah blah.

So we have a case where a young guy working in the Clinton campaign ends up dead. Suspiciously.

Older Americans will hear Clinton and suspicious death and will form an immediate opinion of what may have happened.

Younger Americans, watching the shills destroy their message boards, will counterattack and learn for the first time about the Clinton reputation.

The democrats trying to cover this up with “Russia” 24/7 is a losing proposition. No one in that 50% will buy it.

The democrats are being routed and this woman is trying to tell the republicans to be smart enough to stfu while the enemy is screwing up.

That really bothers me because I can see them using that as a way to keep their lousy jobs. I just want someone to run against them in a primary. As far as the RNC why haven’t they been pushing the GOP for not supporting the party platform? All Trump’s agenda items, including the wall, are in the party platform.

I’m glad to see the RNC make a stand. But there doesn’t seem to be much fight in them. I’d like to have seen the RNC out right along making STRONG forceful statements and whipping their elected officials to get on the Trump Train and support it vigorously. Surely that is part of their responsibility? If not, it should be. There is no room for weak, tepid support or hiding under the bed until the Dims have taken it all back and they can resume their comfort zone position of lobbing occasional insults at their rulers.

And when when Bret Baer was asked how the President seemed at the luncheon with press members today—–he said “he was calm and acted just like he usually does.”

Keep in mind the III percenters! I consider myself one of them. When the SHTF in the Revolutionary War somewhere around 3% of the population took up arms and joined the fight! There are about 300 million people in the US so the 3 percenters would be an armed force of about 9 million patriots would take out the uniparty if they ever tried to pull a coup on PDJT. You can check them out at http://iiipercent.blogspot.com/ but be warned the site is not for the timid! The basic marching orders are ‘If the SHTF then go out, find something evil and kill it!’ LOL…. the antifas and snowflakes have absolutely no clue what they would be up against! God Bless President Donal J Trump and may His will be done!

    More on the Mueller-Comey connection:

According to a lengthy Washingtonian article published on the eve of Comey succeeding Mueller as FBI head, Mueller was the “one person in government in whom [Comey] could confide in and trust.”

As the showdown with Bush was going on, Comey, riding with Mueller to the White House, reflected on the impending fight that could be bearing down on the men. “At least Bob Mueller will be standing on the tracks with me,” Comey thought, according to The Washingtonian.

When Comey was initially called to Ashcroft’s bedside, his first call was to Mueller who reportedly responded: “I’ll be right there.”

Now he’s tasked with evaluating Comey’s accounts and recollections as he tries to play arbitrator in a mushrooming saga that’s clouded Trump’s nascent presidency.

What I think is that if he finds evidence of criminal activity he then takes it to the DOJ. They then prosecute, using the evidence. The counsel is not a prosecutor himself. More like a detective in a local police department that has special powers. ???? A detective with subpoena power and grand jury? Ahh dunno.

If this report is accurate, maybe Mueller is the guy who can talk Comey off the ledge.

If you look at the number of diametrically opposed statements Comey has made, maybe he’s been swamped with so many opinions pushing him to act in a certain way he’s lost any kind of legal orientation.

If Mueller is a friend, maybe he can get Comey back on a consistent track and stop him from reacting to pressure from opposing sides with misguided statements.

Bottom line from the get go is that Comey has said publicly there is no there there wrt Trump/Flynn/Russia. If Mueller can get Comey back to that position, and drop the emotional reactions it will be a positive thing for the Trump administration.

The legal process and rules are there. If followed they will lead to the truth. The problem is when the trier of the facts is not impartial. Social Justice is nowhere in the rules. Is there an impartial fact trier left anywhere? If not….time for a fight.

The doorway to demanding and calling this investigation is said to be Russia. Actually it is Turkey.

Turkey is a synonym for Moslem Brotherhood. They wanted to take Raqqa and Mosul, keep them as prizes of reborn Turkic Empire. Kurds prevented the former, Iraqi Arabs and Kurds the latter. Modern Turkey is a Salafi hegemon nation state ambitious as the Moslem Caliphate.

Mike Flynn nixed a Pentagon plan to help Kurds take Raqqa. Pentagon nixed Mike Flynn, then helped/is helping Kurds take Raqqa. Because they fight and because they are Indo-Europeans, not Arabs or Turks, and not death-eating Salafis.

Trump people undergoing OJT, especially regarding Moslem Brotherhood. Learned auspiciously early that Mike Flynn was Turkey/Moslem Brotherhood, not as traitor plotting, I think, but as ignoramus in over his head.

Brazen Turk anger in this video — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3cH5x6j-Gw — reflects their frustration over USA supporting Kurds, especially Syrian Kurds at Raqqa and Iraqi Arabs and Kurds at Mosul.

John McCain — much worse than an ignoramus in over his head — is on Moslem Brotherhood/Turkey side — of his own knowledgeable volition — violating the Logan Act since 2008 and earlier — a bitter, old loser, to include graduating near the bottom of his class at Annapolis — most recently meeting in Syria with ISIL and AQ to focus both against Russia/Assad while planning to betray them at Raqqa/Mosul/Eastern Syria to the other Salafi horde on the scene: Moslem Brotherhood/Turkey. He is hated in Iraq, and by more than one nation’s representatives present there.

At its deepest level, the fight in D.C. now — a necessary one — is over whether American representatives of the American electorate or John McCain and the Moslem Brotherhood (CAIR, etc.) helm the USA. At a shallower level, the fight in D.C. now — also a necessary one — is over whether American representatives of the American electorate helm the USA towards spiritual, intellectual, moral and cultural independence — or — the so-called intelligence community feeding actionable data to its control freak partners in the bureaucratic deep state, in politics, in mega-banks and in so-called trans-national corporations helms the USA towards the delusion of a rules-based global order under a cruel posturing of global governance.

Does America belong to Americans or, like Europe now and for millennia, to unelected, untouchable, semi-anonymous, autonomous, unchallengeable and permanent policy makers (aka Royalty, Aristocracy, Oligarchy) populating GOs and NGOs? It is kind of an ancient, necessary and therefore recurring question, and at periodic moments of clarity it always goes one way: towards popular freedom and away from elitist compulsion. It always will … because it has to … because freedom is natural whereas compulsion is abnormal.

America’s authority is America’s nature as a sovereign nation state inspired by, concretizing and inspiring divine freedom. America always will be hated by control freaks foreign and domestic, of this world and of others. POTUS Trump is a builder, not a control freak. An American, not a snoot. That is the Divine Way.

So I have been doing a mental dis-service to myself and watching the enemy media (cnn/msnbc). I watched for about an hour last night and then another hour today. The change in their framing in just one day was absolutely stunning. Yesterday, was “the sky is falling”, “grounds for impeachment”, “staffers need to lawyer up”, etc. Today was a complete 180. Now they are talking about “Undermining Pence”, “Not Vetting Flynn”, etc. I seriously think overnight they did the polling and figured out the numbers and determined now was not the right time. Perhaps it was the special counsel, I don’t know. All I know is that the enemy seriously retreated its attack level today.

Plenty of time for talking later. Now, no comments until and unless a coherent strategy emerges suggesting that is the wisest course, legally as well as politically.

Here’s a couple of fun facts that NOBODY has pointed out that I know of:

FACT NUMBER ONE: Trump fired Flynn on February 13.

FACT NUMBER TWO: Trump had dinner with Comey on February 14.

QUESTION FOR THE LIBTARDS: Why would Trump try to pressure the FBI to end an investigation of a man he just fired?

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2017/05/18/fact-check-trump-vs-comey-what-happened-their-private-meetings/101826304/

It is noteworthy that the original New York Times story does not give a date for the dinner. It just says, “in February.” That’s what you call a telling omission….

    • I don’t make a practice of reading the New York Times but did (out of boredom) peruse this article.
Surprise, surprise! It reads just like a low-rated spy novel or good ole gossip column.
Honestly, my favorite author is John Grisham. I’ve never actually purchased or read a low-rated spy novel, b/c I peruse the book before reading/purchasing. I’m not very good at staying with gossip columns either; don’t have the patience for the lack of authenticity.
So, you’ll have to suffer through this NY Times blather yourself if you really want to know what is printed, if you think it worth your precious time.
