*Updated* – The National Enquirer Runs Story of Multiple Ted Cruz Affairs…

Oh dear, the National Enquirer has come out with a story claiming evidence of multiple sexual trysts by presidential candidate Senator Ted Cruz.

Worse yet for the Cruz camp, the framework within the article is structurally very concerning:

The National Enquirer is indeed a tabloid – and as such there are various grains of salt that should be applied when reviewing anything they present.

However, that said, they have been unfortunately accurate for more than a few presidential hopefuls:  Gary Hart, Jesse Jackson and John Edwards to name a few of the more infamous examples.

Beyond the story itself there’s a few presenting elements which point to a high degree of confidence, and as a consequence ‘legal avoidance’, on the publishers’ part.

Firstly, they post pictures of the collective mistresses.  NE would never legally “go there” if they did not hold a very reasonable certainty the outlined players were factually part of the story.

Secondly, there’s at least one face in the group that is easily identifiable.

When you accept the NE editorial/legal requirement for research and attributed comment prior to publication, you recognize there is more than a strong probability each of the outlined group (pictured) was contacted prior to publication; and one of those is very close to the Donald Trump campaign.  Ergo, it’s entirely likely presidential candidate Donald Trump knew this story was coming out.

Which puts candidate Trump’s prior discussion and opinion of media libel in a strangely much larger, and more substantially prescient, aspect.  3-D political strategy not withstanding.

The National Enquirer has essentially baited the hook in a typical manner and one famously utilized by Andrew Breitbart.

So now they wait and see if, and how, the Cruz campaign responds.   It is entirely possible the story could explode exponentially depending on the severity of any denials or admissions therein.

update-1UPDATE:  Since the publication first hit the newsstands (depends on region) the Twitter-sphere has lit up with conversation about the scandal.  It appears many political followers believe they have identified two three of the blurred out images within the National Enquirer story.

If these people on twitter are correct, this story is not soon to be easily dismissed by the Ted Cruz presidential campaign:

Interestingly Sarah Isgur Flores, in addition to being a well known political operative, was also the campaign manager for Carly Fiorina.  And that little factoid brings an earlier discovery into question; where the Super-PAC for Ted Cruz (Keep the Promise) actually sent the Super-PAC for Carly Fiorina (Carly for America “CfA”) $500,000 (link).

That distribution from one candidate’s Super-PAC to another, raised the eyebrows of the Federal Election Commission who inquired about the rather unusual transaction.

update-1Update #4The Plot Thickens.  Apparently, at least part of this story was very well known amid the political circles (pundits, columnists, reporters etc.) who swirl around the various presidential campaign camps.

It appears the sexual exploits of Ted Cruz was the story many were curious about back in late February and early March.

A Breitbart reporter held the information but never released it; according to most common speculation because the owners/operators/editors of the outlet determined it was not in alignment with their political affiliations:

For those of you less familiar with Twitter and “Hashtags” there was a considerable amount of apparent discussion under the hashtag “#TheThing“, where “The Thing” was knowledge of the Ted Cruz affairs.

If you look up #TheThing and go back to March 10th – March 14th, what you’ll find are multiple conversations about finding someone, anyone, to report on the Ted Cruz affairs.  The group pushing for the requested articles were seemingly all supporters of Marco Rubio.

The apparent thinking was if they could get the media to pick-up the story prior to Super Tuesday, it would finish off Ted Cruz and allow Marco Rubio to win in several key elections and states.

Unfortunately, the truth-tellers ran into the corporate side of the media enterprises.   Breitbart owned by pro-Cruz Super-PAC funder Robert Mercer was one of the roadblocks.  The editor, Ben Shapiro, also now being named as one of the political advocates who would not allow his chosen candidate to be ‘outed”.   Shapiro is also the Editor of The Daily Wire, which is also owned by a Pro-Cruz Super-PAC team, The Wilks Brothers.

It appears Shapiro buried and blocked the story because he, along with others, didn’t want to see Cruz negatively impacted.   Unfortunately, this is brutal confirmation of the type of media bias we have discussed before.

Pro-Rubio and Pro-Cruz corporate media intercepts refusing to allow sunlight upon their preferred candidate(s).  (Salem Communications: Hugh Hewitt et al, NRO, Human Events, Twitchy, etc) and Pro-Cruz sites like Conservative Review (Mark Levin, and unfortunately Amanda Carpenter), Right Scoop, Red State, Insurgent etc. with an obvious reason to bury or not allow the story to surface.

Once Senator Marco Rubio lost Florida, the incentive for public airing of the Ted Cruz marital affairs was immediately diminished.

Those within the #StopTrump campaign now preferring the sexual trysts did not surface because the damage only benefits Donald Trump, a candidate they despise and are working actively to defeat.

Many of the former political types who wanted to see the story surface have now joined Team Cruz and would prefer the story have stayed hidden.

The choice bore the Cruz hallmarks: ambition, a willingness to take major risks and confidence that he could pull it off. In an interview with The Washington Post, Cruz also said that the move also shows how he and Heidi work in tandem.       These have been problems for ages. They are problems within many mainstream Christian (and other) churches. Some people would say, “Well, those people aren’t Christians, then.” I’m not going to go there; I’m just saying that Beck is being extremely simplistic about the nature of man if he’s going to point to those things as proof that we’re not a Christian nation.

      What does Beck mean by “a Christian nation”? This country was founded on Judeo-Christian values of recognizing a Creator who gives man ultimate freedom (even to the point of rejecting Him).

    I am definitely NOT a Cruz supporter. But if this is not accurate and backed up by solid evidence, then it would constitute a far bigger dirty trick than anything Lyin’ Ted has done.

    But if it’s true, it totally shatters Cruz’s phony image and means his campaign is even deader than Herman Cain’s and John Edwards were.

    It would also prove that it is EXTREMELY hazardous to mess with The Donald.

        I agree that’s how these things work. An attack as thin and obvious as this probably comes from somebody who is supporting Cruz. The intent is that when it is exposed it supposed to make it look like Cruz was under attack by Trump forces. It’s the kind of thing Cruz does.

      I don’t even think Mr. Trump is involved in this. Katrina Pierson is his SPOX, I don’t think he would trash her like that. He sems to take good care of his people. More likely someone else trying to create more division and a circus atmosphere to harm both candidates. It could be the dems or the GOP trying to create chaos to welcome a contested convention. I wouldn’t put it past Kasich either.

      It’s a matter of timing. National Enquirer is an independent outlet and released the story too soon. The Establishment is not in for Cruz for President, they are in for Cruz blocking Trump from 1237 delegates before the primary. After Cruz served his purpose he could be easily dispatched. If you follow this site and lame Cherry none of this comes as a surprise.

  27. Wow. Ted and Heidi are looking more like Bill and Hillary every day. I am very disappointed in Sen Cruz. I was one of his early fans. I now believe Mr Trump will be a much better President. That doesn’t change my disappointment in Sen Cruz.

    The presidential campaign of 2016 will be historically recorded as the eye opener for the conservative movement that stripped the mask from the anti-establishment pretenders. Sen Cruz is the leader of that cabal.

    One more thing. Does anyone, after these revelations, still not believe that Mr Trump is both brilliant and honorable? It is obvious that he waited until Sen Cruz attacked his wife before this went public. Sen Cruz, allowing his super PAC to publish those pics of Mrs Trump, made a yuuuuge mistake. Mr Trump knows how to fight and this is how he did it. Good for him.

      • I didn’t mean to imply that Mr Trump “did this”. I do think it’s curious that this story is published just after Sen Cruz went after Mrs Trump. Yes, Sen Cruz went after Mrs Trump. He may not have direct control over the super PAC but you cannot tell me he doesn’t have influence. If Sen Cruz had insisted that Mrs Trump was off limits the super PAC would have not run that ad. He didn’t. Anyway, Sen Cruz goes after Mrs Trump and, viola, the hidden story that apparently all of DC and the MSM knew about goes public right after. There are no coincidences. Sen Cruz brought a knife to a gun fight. Bad move.

          They could see that if they were ever going to release this story for maximum interest….that time is now.

          Bloggers and people like Alex Jones were talking about this.
          So if the Nat’l Enquirer didn’t run it….there is a good chance they could’ve been scooped.
          No coincidence there.
          Just normal journalistic motivations.

          Donald Trump has no power over Nat’l Enquirer.
          He cannot just make them run a story with the wave of his hand.

          I saw a post here last night that Cruz’s fat and vicious campaign director .. is it Jeff something .. ordered the Melania photos from GQ to use before Utah vote. It might have been in a Twitter post, but if that is the case, then Cruz argument he didn’t know about the activities of his Super PAC were certainly more lies.

          Trump was totally right about Cruz being well aware of the Melania photo scandal. Glenn Beck giggled about Melania making “pornographic lesbian films” last August!

The Uniparty is absolutely brilliant in getting people who might spark in range of each other, and therefore I not only smell Cruz’s weakness here – I smell a plan to take advantage of it.     • I love lamecherry for the artistic cover on the whistleblowing, almost more than the story, but I agree – stay here to anchor in strong facts. Lamecherry serves a brilliant purpose – the bleeding edge of .gov secrets – but a lot of it is sketchy, incomplete, and never validated. However, don’t dismiss it – much great submerged truth appears there.

      The delivery is quirky and often times vulgar, however,
      if one is so inclined, one can look past what is
      offensive in order to be educated.

        Besides being vulgar, LameCherry provides no validation for anything reported. That is not education; it is speculation. We do a lot of speculating here in our comments, but we acknowledge it is speculation, while that site presents what it says as fact.

    Another thought on this, a lot of journalists seem pretty poed that they weren’t allowed to do their jobs, because of the establishment shenanagans. do I smell a whole new 4th estate wagon on the Trump train?

    • Just be careful. The enemedia is still the enemy. They are always for Hillary. ALWAYS. But they’ll take a Trump story if that’s what they can get.

          • Watters seems to be leading the way there. Love the guy. He just sees through so much bilge like it’s not even there.

            I shouldn’t lump all of them together, but I have to say -I remember the way journalism used to be. It was about helping the people be aware of things – not selective enlightenment to serve a government agenda. The latter was viewed as only proper during wartime (which is equally untrue, and a form of right-wing PC that serves Uniparty interests).

            This election really is changing everything.

    Think back. Sundance did a story on March 10th about Cruz pulling out of Florida & so did other news sources. On Twitter at that same time, rumors of #thething which was to help Rubio was going around So did Cruz pull out of Florida because of The Thing ? Maybe that was part of the deal but the story was already buzzing & they couldn’t get a handle on it.
    If you have twitter go look at that hashtag ( #thething ) around Mar 10-15. If you don’t have twitter “the thing” was rumors of affair with Cruz & Katrina Pierson. Rubio people wanted to take Cruz & Trump both out of race.

          That is why they legally “suspend” instead of withdraw. It also has to do with what to do with delegates and campaign money. Suspend means they won’t be out beating the bushes for votes, paying staff, etc and everything just sits there. Rubio will not be back as he flamed out. So did the rest really.

    We knew it had to happen…..the Enquirer story with link is posted on Ted Cruz FB page in the visitor comments section. There is also a link to the CTH article in the same space.

    Posted at 5:36 AM by someone called Marvin Williams.
    It will be interesting to see if any of Ted’s people defend him or if it gets erased as soon as its discovered.
