Every other headline will read: Gowdy supports Rubio, but the reality is more apropos when considering that Gowdy doesn’t support Ted Cruz.

This endorsement “event” should not come as a surprise to long-time readers, simply go back to the 2014 pre-mid-term assignment by Speaker Boehner of Represenative Gowdy as chairperson for the Benghazi committee, read the reams of cautionary discussion, and you’ll find the origin of this latest development.

We shall refrain from the I-told-you-so’s, instead relying more succinctly on the ‘watch what they do, not what they say’ constructs (insert picture of Mark O’Mara here if needed).

More interesting than the political endorsement per se’ is the construct of South Carolinian Gowdy joining Rubio in Iowa – far from home base, at least for now.

The predictable development draws out a few issues to highlight:

#1) The GOPe needing to deploy one of their previously held back ‘Robert’s The Bruce’  in an effort to quickly prop-up Amnesty Rubio.  Shows weakness of Jeb/Rubio polling.

#2) The voting electorate will now get increased clarity upon Paul Ryan, Eric Cantor and Trey Gowdy in ideological UniParty alignment; which is always a good thing;  and..

#3) Unfortunately for Cruz supporters they now have a new blow to deal with, ie. reconcile.

[…]  In a campaign release, Gowdy said, “Marco is a rock solid conservative and a strong leader we can trust. I look forward to campaigning with him, and introducing my good friend to voters across the state.”

Gowdy has campaigned for Rubio before — the two appeared together at a rally in South Carolina last week. Rubio’s campaign manager, Terry Sullivan, worked as a consultant on Gowdy’s 2010 House race.  (link)

Grinning vulgarians should rejoice as representative Gowdy takes to the campaign trail to proclaim the Milk Carton Amnesty Candidate as the strong leader he trusts.  Every endorsement from a revealed Robert-The-Bruce is an opportunity to discuss the scope of the challenge that lies ahead.

There has never been an easier candidate to support than American born, America-First Donald Trump.
