The Stazi System – In 2015 There’s an App for That !!

Most of us here can easily connect the dots, but you’d be surprised at how many around you cannot….  It is for them, the cattle cars seem to be an option.

stazi1SACRAMENTO, Calif. — With Californians tasked to cut back water during a four-year drought, the sound of water run-off has become a call to action.

California’s Placer County Water Agency has two new smart phone apps, launched last October.

One app is a shower timer, which converts time in shower to gallons of water used.  The second, sure to be more discussed, allows people to report water wasters.

Customers can take pictures of water wasters, send it to us. It’ll include two GPS locations so we can follow up,” said Ross Branch of the Placer County Water Agency, whose district is the Sierra Nevada foothills that extends to Lake Tahoe.

Creators say the app isn’t meant to find offenders, but rather, to encourage water conservation.  (read more)

Notice “so we can follow up” combined with “The app isn’t meant to find offenders“.  Huh, strange that.  Then what exactly is the app meant to do, exactly?

“When the situation was manageable it was neglected, and now that it is thoroughly out of hand we apply too late the remedies which then might have effected a cure. There is nothing new in the story. It is as old as the sibylline books. It falls into that long, dismal catalogue of the fruitlessness of experience and the confirmed unteachability of mankind. Want of foresight, unwillingness to act when action would be simple and effective, lack of clear thinking, confusion of counsel until the emergency comes, until self-preservation strikes its jarring gong–these are the features which constitute the endless repetition of history.” …. Churchill (in his verbose way)

The rat out your neighbor ap is part of socialism. Socialism takes the power that should rightfully be the Lord’s and replaces it with government, thus proving that socialism in whatever form it takes is a scheme of Satan’s. People go along because they don’t understand what is happening.

I think the 2 apps are meant to used together. First you get tagged for over-watering the hibiscus by a nosy neighbor and the enforcement arm of the water dept. waist for your shower timer to kick off before they pitch in the flash-bangs.

On the other hand, a–hole, self-consumed, narcissist Californikators only care about other people doing the right thing about saving water, stewarding the environment, etc. They’ll just keep doing their destructive self-gratifying stuff, until someone stops them. They also re-elected zombie Jerry Brown. So while I’d bristle at this in my town (and it would come to naught in less than a week, ’cause pols would be the ones principally targeted), CA gets what they, as a polity, deserve. My sympathies to the good people who’re stuck in the midst of the prog and thug hordes.

Thank God for the relative independence of states. May God help us to restore that concept more fully, as originally intended in our federal system.

Agreed. Where we were staying, the water bill went from a $75 bill to $350 “estimated” for this upcoming month, while consumption went DOWN.

At the same time, the Cali Progs are advocating and writing Op-Eds about how unrestricted immigration is a “good thing”.

      Math is hard.

TY, Jett. Ironic that I have to read CTH to find out what is happening in my own back yard…or do I mean local garbage dump? [aka, Sacramento] Just waiting to see what the next water bill looks like.

I live outside of Sacramento. Luckily, for now, I have well water. I’ve heard talk of the State trying to take control of well water. Not sure how but, they can reimburse the drilling cost if they think I’m just gonna roll over! I pay for pumping and maintenance. They don’t. This State is outta control!

All of these problems were self-inflicted. They should have built the Auburn Dam. They should have built lots of Dams. The environmentalists are destroying what used to be an awesome State. I remember when the Evirowackos wanted to tear down the Hetch-Hetchy resevoir. That reservoir supplies drinking water to San Francisco. I sorta wish they would have. We don’t need San Francisco!

We experienced a pre-cursor to this in 2009. The newly installed Regime was attempting to gin up wide spread fear and panic over potentially pandemic/fatal Bird Flu to compel everyone to line up for the solution – the vaccine, which Obot Regime financiers had big money riding on.

The CDC put out an I-phone app which allowed “anonymous reporting” of fellow citizens that “YOU”, good Obot snitch, felt had Bird Flu. My husband’s command was inundated with false “bird flu” cases that ensnared them into the local public health apparatus even though all the potential cases resided on federal property and were treated by the separate DOD health care entity. It was surreal, and Orwellian. You were “guilty” until cleared by the OverLords of Public Health. Not only that, it was a HUGE time waster, but it really frightened me how willing so many of these millenials were to sign up (voluntarily!) to be the local Obot Stasi.

It must have been a trial run.

The answer to this development is simple. Patriotic citizens in areas that have this app should use it often to report on each and every member of the politburo that run their burg. Police chief? Mayor? Accounting Dept? Local Demopublican HQ office? They look clean and hydrated.. nothing says water criminal like being clean & hydrated!

The chaos alone will force them to reconsider how they apportion and fund the effort. I wonder if the ATF concept of “constructive possession” can be applied to having a working water supply system… “you may not have recently watered your lawn, Mr. Smith, but you COULD have… so, here’s a ticket”.

Remember folks, the worse, the better.

If I remember corectly they aren’t getting all the conditioning chemicals out fully. Plenty of water but lots of nasty impurities. Iron, arsenic and sulphur were the main contaminants in our well. We went full reverse osmosis even for the critters. Even with the RO we still needed additional help with the arsenic. That’s about 15 minutes east of Flint.

Lou, one reason why this is accepted by many in Michigan (not me) is that we are literally surrounded by water. A California relative told me once that one of his main memories about Michigan is how green it is.

Ursula, Thank you. The system has created a problem for itself with this “app”. Use it to heap ashes upon the heads of the politburo. Point them out as frauds and hypocrites, with substandard devotion to the revolution. Denounce them as water Trotskyites. Their deviationist ways will bring ruin to the whole Soviet if left unchecked. They need a Vyshinsky-like show trial where they are made to atone publicly for their transgressions.

Now that some Americans have been given an NKVD-like tool, they should USE it to compel the bureaucrats to conform to the common misery that is Kommiefornia. It is actually chilling, but they made this.

Another CA crisis reprise. Anyone remember Ron Lay and Enron ? CA’s energy czars put all the state’s chips on Enron’s number and lost. Back then they demanded the USG bail them out and our cowardly POTUS did. Can’t wait to see what they’re going to come up with to get water to the rich folks in BH ! Trains ? Tanker trucks ? Or ships ? Maybe they’ll demand the rest of us pony up to tow an ice floe north from Anartica, ( ice coverage there reportedly exceeds area the warmistas predicted, so that scheme is a “twofer”).

The water question in California is an interesting one. There was a suggestion to tow icebergs, as well as to use pipelines from Canada.

Here is an idea of the scope of the problem… call the population of California 40 million. A person may use in America about 100 gallons a day for food prep, washing, drinking and other sanitary uses. This makes for 4 Billion gallons of water per day. Industry and Agriculture are excluded from this, so the actual figure will be much higher. This is just to meet the daily use of people.

4 Billion gallons of water is 15,095,000 cubic meters of water. Note I am doing a bit of rounding here, but consider the scope of this. 929 Kg per cubic meter for pure ice.

This is PER DAY. One would need a conveyor line of icebergs and some means to melt them at the terminal end. This ignores distribution.

California will not answer its needs through burgling icebergs.

They can’t mine for much more, as there is a point where the cost of extraction from ever deeper wells gets to be a limiting factor.

The remaining answers are to import via pipeline (from where, who knows?), desalinization or using some exotic means such as combining oxygen and hydrogen on a vast scale.

Stand by for a biblical level exodus that will redefine America.
