Egypt Vows To Hunt Down The Muslim Brotherhood Leaders As They Leave Qatar, While Qatari Officials Admit 120 Might Be Expelled…

While the Obama administration fawn praise upon Qatar, quite the opposite is happening from Egypt, Saudi Arabia and UAE who are turning up the heat on the Qatari willful blindness to extremist Islamists.

Egypt’s Fattah El-Sisi is like a wolverine on the hunt of the Muslim Brotherhood. In a surprisingly honest article from the Associated Press, they outline not only the current round of Brotherhood members leaving, but also the Al Jazeera reporters and another possible 120 extremists being expelled. In the irony of the article note the direction of flight for the extremists: Malaysia, Turkey and, wait for it, Great Britain.

MuslimBrotherhood2CAIRO (AP) — Egypt will hunt down exiled Muslim Brotherhood leaders and seek their arrest, a top official said Sunday, after Qatar ordered them to leave its territory despite initially hosting group members following the ouster of Egypt’s Islamist President Mohammed Morsi last year.

The tiny Gulf nation’s expulsion of the Brotherhood, branded a terrorist organization by Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, signals it is moving to mend a diplomatic rift triggered by its support of the group. Analysts described the move as a political victory for Egypt’s current leadership.

Minister of Interior Mohammed Ibrahim said that Qatari authorities gave Brotherhood leaders one month to leave the country, and reporters for the Doha-based Al-Jazeera Egypt channel two months to leave. It was not immediately possible to confirm the ultimatum with Qatari officials, who rarely comment on the issue.

A number of the group’s senior members and allied clerics had already said Saturday that they would leave “to avoid embarrassing” Qatar, which suffered severely strained relations with Egypt and other Gulf countries for hosting the Brotherhood.

A Brotherhood member in Qatar, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of concerns for his safety, said the Qataris conveyed to them that they were under constant pressure led by Egypt to serve Egyptian arrest warrants for the Islamists. He said he will travel to Malaysia while other members will be travelling to Britain or Turkey.

He added that the group had started discussing the possibility of leaving Qatar after Egypt’s former military chief Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi ascended to the presidency. El-Sissi led Morsi’s ouster after millions of protesters rallied to demand his resignation last summer.

The head of a Brotherhood-allied Egyptian Salafi party living in Qatar said that Egyptian Islamists there know the country has been under pressure to expel them and that Cairo has been encouraging countries to consider them just as dangerous as brutal extremists who have taken over swaths of Iraq and Syria.

“Egypt wants to brand the Brotherhood with the stamp of the Islamic State group,” Ihab Shiha said by telephone, adding that he himself was not asked to leave the country.

Officials and observers say that Qatar had resisted Gulf pressures to move against the Brotherhood until its ruling emir met with top Saudi officials.

Egyptian security and military officials say Qatar agreed to “gradually” expel the group’s members and allies. They said that up to 120 people could leave as part of the agreement, including some facing charges of inciting violence in Egypt.

The officials also said that broadcaster Al-Jazeera would tone down its criticism of Egypt as part of the deal. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the press.

[…] “Qatar thought it is better to end its isolation from the Gulf countries and not to remain in one corner with the Muslim Brotherhood,” said Anwar Ashki, a Saudi political expert. It eventually became an “embarrassment” for Qatar to host the group, he added. (continue reading)

Book him on Malaysian Airlines — problem solved.

And Malaysia, like Egypt, is another of the most Western supporting Muslim majority nation.
How many 787’s does Iran own? None.
Malaysia could have gone communist like other southeast asian nations, but it was among the few dominoes that stood.
Dont be like Obama. Know who your allies are. Dont defecate on your allies. GW Bush allied the US with Western leaning Muslim majority nations as part of the coalition of the willing.
Not every Muslim is a commie.

If I recall my military history, the British/Australian forces fought commie leaning insurgents throughout the country during the 50s/60s. “COIN” doctrine was researched using some examples of “wining the hearts and minds” of the people. Or the best selling book, “Learning to Eat Soup, With A Knife”. I could be wrong, thou.

It’s not “Spanish” DNA that makes Latinos racially different. Spaniards are 100% full Caucasian, and are the vast contributor to the “white” aspect of Latinos, although other European Caucasians are represented in the genetic pool by regions. The other part of Latino makeup comes from Amerindian, usually the Mestizo Indians, which is part of the larger Mongoloid race. There is also a tiny portion of the Negroid race in almost all Latinos.

If Latinos had only “Spanish DNA”, they’d be ordinary, full European Caucasians.

But you’re right about the government employees. 😉

Why is he in a civilian jail? Why not a military jail with a court-martial pending instead of U.S. code charges?

I have my doubts that this guy is active military or ever was. Surplus uniform stuff (with the serviceman’s name still on them) are easy to get. Perhaps he thought the border patrol would give him a pass if he was in uniform.

In one part his last name is stated to be Ramirez, but in another context it’s stated as Rodriquez.

I don’t think this reporter has enough facts to be reporting this yet. He got ahead of himself in reporting this as a “U.S. soldier.” It may very well be untrue.

The civilians get first crack at him, then if convicted, he will be punished by his command. His command doesn’t have any evidence against him right now, it is in the hands of the arresting jurisdiction.

Obama facilitated a meeting with Karzaii and the Emir of Qatar…with the end result being headquarters for the Taliban being built in Qatar, reconstituting and strengthening America’s enemy. the Taliban. Shortly after, Obama, unbeknownst to Congress or the Pentagon, released the Taliban 5 terrorists from Gitmo. Those five released to Qatar from Gitmo, were deemed by the United Nations as having committed crimes against humanity. Obama exchanged those 5 terrorists for deserter-traitor Bergdahl, on his own, without Congressional knowledge or input…. and delivered them to QATAR, THE HOME of their New Taliban Headquarters..in Qatar.

Obama has been in bed with Qatar. el-Sisi is a thorn in Obama’s side. God bless el-Sisi and keep him safe as he goes about fighting this evil and the muslim brotherhood.

Qatar finds itself between a hard place and a rock (I avoided the pun). The Qatari leadership volunteered their country as the Mideast hub for CENTCOM operations. It’s basically cast its lot with the US while trying to balance its oil/NG interests with Iran. About 15 years ago when Qatar decided to throw its lot in with the US, sure the US would protect it from Iran I’m betting the Qatari government never thought it would see a US government and a Mideast mess as we have now. Tiny Qatar sits on an oil and NG field that stretched from its coast across the Gulf to Iran – the North Field/South Pars complex that could make every Qatari rich as Croesus or (more likely) make Qatar a takeover target. Having the US basing CENTCOM there was probably a strategic move that’s put them in a pickle. Now the US influence is in decline while the Iranian/Russian power bloc is increasing. I’m betting that part of this move is to make Egypt feel friendlier to Qatar and perhaps even run interference with Egypt’s new shower-buddy, Russia. Look around the Gulf and see how many states there are likely to invite Qatar to their Eid el Fitr party – slim pickins’. If I were a Qatari potentate I’d be hedging my bets by cozying up to the few nations in the area who share the rather secular and money-based philosophy I do, so tossing a few Brotherhood bros out to the sharks would be a win-win, or as close as I could get to one. . I’d also be making sure my private getaway jet was fueled and ready to fly me to Europe before the real rush starts.
