President Trump updates through his Truth Social account on the current status of negotiations for an agreement with Iran.
PRESIDENT TRUMP – “Iran must agree that they will never have a Nuclear Weapon or Bomb. The Hormuz Strait must be immediately open, no tolls, for unrestricted shipping traffic, in both directions. All water mines (bombs), if any, will be terminated (we have removed, through detonation, numerous such mines with our great underwater mine sweepers. Iran will complete the immediate removal and/or detonation of any mines that are left, which will not be many!).
Ships caught in the Strait due to our amazing and unprecedented Naval Blockade, which will now be lifted, may start the process of “heading home!” Say HELLO to your wives, husbands, parents, and families from me, your favorite President! The enriched material, sometimes referred to as “Nuclear Dust,” which is buried deep underground with virtually collapsed mountains, caused by our powerful B2 Bomber attack 11 months ago, sitting on top of it, will be unearthed by the United States (which, it is agreed, is the only Country, along with China, with the mechanical capability of doing so!), in close coordination and conjunction with the Islamic Republic of Iran, plus the International Atomic Energy Agency, and DESTROYED.
No money will be exchanged, until further notice. Other items, of far less importance, have been agreed to. I will be meeting now, in the Situation Room, to make a final determination. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” ~ President Donald J Trump
Newt Gingrich also notes one of the most important facets that continues to be missed by most of the American punditry who discuss the situation. The Arab states, not Israel, are 100% behind the Trump administration effort on this issue.
Newt Gingrich: “After spending this week reviewing the Iranian war I am now convinced President Trump is on the edge of an historic victory. The real breakthrough for me came as I reviewed President Trump’s decisions and maneuvers not from the standpoint of American unilateralism but from the standpoint of the leader of a remarkable historic coalition, the largest coalition ever put together in the modern Middle East.
Everyone understands that Israel is an important ally. What is little discussed is the depth of support from the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region. It has to be sobering for the Iranian dictatorship to realize that it does not have a single ally willing to challenge the American naval blockade. Slowly, gradually, timidly, our European allies are lining up to help with the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz. A great deal of President Trump’s maneuvers against Iran make sense once he is seen as a coalition leader and not just as a unilateral American President.
I spent a lot of the last couple weeks reviewing kinetic options including wining the battle of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz and if necessary using the shocking and shattering level of force President Nixon and Secretary Kissinger used against Hanoi and Haiphong in Christmas 1972 (which both leaders believed convinced the North Vietnamese to agree to a truce and the freeing of American POWs). If this were a unilateral American campaign I could enthusiastically support a more aggressive kinetic campaign. However it is also clear it would shatter the coalition because our Arab allies are convinced Iran could still do enormous damage to their oil fields and infrastructure.
Coalitions are inherently slower than unilateral campaigns. However coalitions ultimately bring vastly more power to the fight. I am as frustrated as everyone else by the pace of talking with the dictatorship but having reviewed the correlation of forces and the options available to the coalition on one side and the Iranian religiously motivated dictatorship on the other I am prepared to assert that President Trump’s coalition leadership (something almost none of his critics want to acknowledge) is within reach of an enormous historic victory. And if the Iranian dictatorship ultimately proves it is hopelessly committed to a suicidal position there will be plenty of time for a kinetic campaign of enormous power and effectiveness. Either way we are on the edge of an astonishing victory for our values and for a safer Middle East.” (source)

No money will be exchanged… for now. Please explain.
Likely referring to Iranian sanctions not being lifted…
nor will Iranian frozen funds be freed (Qatar currently holds $12 billion frozen Iran funds).
++
Qatar emerges as key broker in US-Iran frozen funds dispute
https://www.iranintl.com/en/202605252488
Iran must put their cards on the table and act first. Then later they can get some of their money. We aren’t thieves. They legitimately have money that we’re freezing. At some point they’re entitled to it, but maybe not all of it.
How about them refunding those pallets of cash that the Kenyan sent to them under the cover of darkness? That slimy a$$h0/e.
That was also their money….
More specifically, the money belonged to the Iranian government under Shah Reza Pahlavi not to the islamic Republic of Iran.
I’m gonna agree with you here that that part of the President’s post was not stellar. To be (more) clear, he could have written that no monies would be “unfrozen” and “sent back to” the regime. Likely -and hopefully, minus deductions of the costs for damages caused by the Iranian regime. Just my 2c.
Strategic ambiguity perhaps?
Possibly the rebuilding of infrastructure AFTER all terms are met.
We shouldn’t have to rebuild anything. They brought about the destruction of their infrastructure themselves. If they acted like civilized human beings instead of barbaric thugs and heathens they wouldn’t be faced with replacing destroyed and heavily damaged buildings, roads, bridges and utilities.
I agree we should spend money on our infrastructure in towns before rebuilding any other country. Totally agree with you. I just think that that’s possibly what he was referring to though.
Isn’t the idea that we unfreeze their assets which we control so that they can do their own rebuilding??
Try quoting accurately. It will help with the understanding.
People want to complain and whine about something, anything….
Newt… saying the same thing I and others have highlighted or discussed on past threads at CTH on the Iran conflict (it’s not a war, war was not declared) “…depth of support from the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and other countries in the region.”
Even people on this site, have been crying, whining, complaining about it taking too long, why is he negotiating, why not just blow things up, etc., etc., etc. Blah, blah, blah, wah, wah, wah… short-sighted ignorance.
First, as others and I discussed, the Iranian military has been rendered useless. A few missiles, drones, and small assaults on other ME countries here and there do not mean their military is functional. It means it is not, and all they have are pot shots.
Second, and it’s the most important aspect, myself and a few others have touched on here, is the coalition and the backing and support from the other ME countries- that makes this a long-lasting thing, not a wait until the liberals get someone else cheated in and selected as President thing (looking at you, Thune, for stonewalling the Save Act). Iran’s neighbors need to own this, which is why Trump, a few days ago, brought up the Abraham Accords and wants to add more members, including Iran.
The RINOS and Left hate this; they hate this because this is historic and Trump is doing it, all while setting up the US to benefit bigly on the other side.
Now, go have the FBI deal with Antifa and assaults on ICE…oh, wait…Kash needs to wake up first.
This could explain the sudden everything against Trump throw at him now! Syndrome.
It might also refer to Iran’s leadership (such as it is) asking for what they all “reparations”.
It means they have figured out a way to pay them, while simultaneously claiming they are not going to pay them. It’ll be a semantics game. However, the end result will be Iran getting paid.
Oh Lord, hear our prayers.
And let our cry come to You.
Sooooo
Orange man bad is not going to start WW one hundred and eleven???
Nope; not even an opening silo.
One hundred and eleven would have to be “the war to end all wars” because a V or an X would really confuse them.
🤭 tee hee….
Never mind the C or the M either or especially the C in front of the M.
Sounds like Trump is finally heeding Joe Kent’s advice to dismiss Israel and get this settled.
Yep. Glad to see the guy who wins at everything and out maneuvers his enemies, politicians, and global leaders, (across decades) is finally listening to the big brain advice of Joe Kent. We’re all fortunate to have Joe Kent bringing decisive wisdom to the table.
It needs to end!
My daughter’s 20 year old 4runner was down to 1/4 tank so I filled it up at Shell in Northern San Diego and it was $100. She’s in the Coast Guard and her husband is a Marine in Asia somewhere. When 3/4 of a tank cost $100 people who are working for a living are hurting. I can afford to help my daughter with $$$, repairs to the house and babysitting but not everyone has parents close by who are able to help. This Iranian chaos needs to end. Nobody cares one way or the other about Iran’s uranium material when they can just buy a nuclear weapon from China, Russia, North Korea or even Pakistan.
If China, Russia, North Korea or Pakistan wanted the mullahs in Iran to have a nuke they would just give one to them. The truth is that no nation on earth wants the mullah’s in Iran to get nukes, because every one knows that they would use it.
Just think how high it would be once Iran began blackmailing the ME oil producers with a nuclear weapon on top of their ballistic missiles. Oil would be $200/bbl Overnight and you’d be begging for the days when gasoline was only
$4-5/gal.
And if they could have (purchased one from those countries) they long ago would have !
Those countries are not nearly as stupid as most people, because they know damn well exactly what Iran intends to do with it.
You also don’t want you or your daughter or her husband to be the victim of a nuclear bomb.
Our world is complex.
Some people bluff and bluster. Iranian leaders have demonstrated their blood lust over and over and told us to our face “death to America.” I believe them.
We need to eliminate the IRS along with the income tax . We cannot continue to allow illegals to get free stuff with our money; nor can we continue to allow welfare to be given to non-citizens or citizens without work requirements. Welfare should be a very short term fix.
1. You live in CA
2.
3.
4.
Yes, I do live here having moved here from Palm Beach County, FL because my CG daughter and her Marine Corp husband are here and with him gone to Okinawa, South Korea and now who knows where and her 2 year old and 5 year old along with a 40 year old house and 20 year old Toyota 4runner…she needs help! We were flying back and forth until the 5 year old came along. If you have any other suggestions let me know! 😎
God Bless You for Your Family Love!
Here’s a suggestion, meant in good faith: move your daughter and her children back to Florida NOW. Get out of Idiotville as quickly as possible. If things go south, that is NOT where you want them to be!
I feel your pain!
I bought my daughter a 2012 Toyota Prius that gets 50 mpg highway. She has never once complained about gas prices. It simply does it’s job efficiently. They go 300k miles or better, for life.
It costs $57 to completely fill a Prius fuel tank in my state, today. Gives a 571 to 602 mile range, depending on city/highway driving mix. You can fix her problem or keep whining about it here.
Look, it’s not just the price of gas, as you know, everything is up. She has two children and two dogs and has to drive to Portland, Oregon to visit her husband’s family often. She needs the larger 4runner. A Prius is okay for in town driving.
We all make choices in life. Once made, we live with the consequences and do the best we can in our given situations.
Unfortunately, the state she lives in and the state she travels to have obscene gas taxes, state taxes, and horrible policies that make it tough on most families. Those issues aren’t this administration’s fault or caused by them.
As far as transportation in her situation – my suggestion would be a van, some of which get double the gas mileage of what she drives and has plenty of room.
https://thevansmith.com/blogs/beginners-guide-to-the-vanlife/vans-with-the-best-gas-mileage
The other would be – maybe her husband’s family can do the travelling…
How about no wars of choice? WMDs 2.0.
How about protect our nation and her people? Nobody is denying, including the Iranians, of their possession of the enriched nuclear material – nor their demonstrated ability for long range, multi-warhead missiles…
“We can remove the tumor now, while it is small”
“No, no – the tumor is no threat. No surgery!”
Then there is the reality shared recently about the fact that Iran has been killing Americans on average once per day for a considerable period of time…
and whose choice should it be……..there’s or ours?
Have them come to visit her–IN FLORIDA!
Palm Bch., San Diego, Portland? Why didn’t you just say were a democrat?
Congratulations on the dumbest reason to stop a pain in the a$$ country for the last 50 years because you daughter has to fill up her gas tank.
Were your daughter and son-in-law hurting when the nationwide average price of gasoline (all grades and blends) was $5.03/gallon under the Delaware Dimwit’s (Mal) Administration in mid – 2022?
If what you say is true about buying the bomb then why didn’t they? Why have they been spending years making one? Could it be that not one of the countries that have the bomb have a ruler stupid enough to sell them one? This Iranian chaos has been going on for 47 years and you are expecting a 6 month fix. The President would like a permanent fix. All of us would like to see lower gas prices. You are thinking like a dumbacrat. I would bet you are not but you have to have a little more patience. Rome was not built in a day.
Kent for King 2028-2054!!!!
Who do you think he outmaneuvered more John Brennan or Peter Strozk?
John Brennan is still in play, along with others.
Strozk could be, don’t know, but it doesn’t matter because President Trump did win. He survived years of a whole government trying to destroy him. Who else do you know who did that?
I hear you, but expand your focus out to what he’s actually accomplishing. He’s focused on saving the country. We’re living in Orwell’s “1984”. The foundational institutions are so totally corrupted. The America many of us grew up in hasn’t existed in decades.
In the end, he’s undoing the impact and damage of Brennan, Strokk, and the rest.
Im sure you forgot the sarc?
It’s there if you look for it.
Yeah, Joe Kent has nothing to do with this… tax2much needs to go back to X and whine more with the Massie crybabies.
Yes, God knows what we do without Joe Kent.
LOL !!!!
I don’t know about dismissing Israel, more like they have to sit at the same table as everyone else (no favorites).
Exactly. They don’t have a veto.
If that’s what it sounds like to you then you might want to get your ears checked.
Trump has allowed Israel to continue its bombing campaign in Lebanon.
That hardly sounds like a dismissal.
I must admit that I did not see anything which indicated that Lebanon or Gaza are an issue with the possible agreement. If Israel is allowed to continue their conquest of Lebanon then there might be some additional problems going forward. I just pray that We the MAGA USA don’t interfere with whatever actions, exchanges or agreements arise between Israel and Iran. Let them settle it on the playground.
possibly because Hezzbolah has continued to bomb them and killed a soldier or 2 near the border. Return fire seems right to me. But I do recall that Bibi is talking about a major attack on hezzbolah but is also in talks with Lebanon.
Huh??
Trump is doing what HE feels is critical to do.
Israel is NOT being “dismissed”. But they are also not being allowed a veto over what is being done.
And Israel benefits big time is they secure dipomatic recognition from more of the Arab neighbors because of this approach
Alternative theory: maybe Trump was never under Israel’s thumb in the first place.
🎯
Ugh. Joe Kent….another disappointment… wrong on Iran, and a MAGA fail.
You forgot the /sarc tag, didn’t you?
PRESIDENT TRUMP… best Potus since the Original George!! He is meeting tge challenge to undo the incompetency, bias, and unconstitutional attacks from previous “angstministratons”!! Thank you, PRESIDENT TRUMP!!!!
………“angstministratons”
A description that’s clear and concise. Thanks. Gonna remember that one.
Best President since Calvin Coolidge
Sound familiar?
” Calvin Coolidge is remembered for his fiscal conservatism and pro-business policies that fostered the economic prosperity of the Roaring Twenties.
His administration achieved balanced budgets, reduced the national debt by nearly 25 percent, and implemented significant tax cuts through the Revenue Acts of 1924, 1926, and 1928, which lowered top income tax rates from over 50 percent to 25 percent.
Key legislative and administrative accomplishments include:
Signing the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924, granting federal citizenship to all Native Americans. Enforcing the Immigration Act of 1924, which restricted immigration from outside the Western Hemisphere and established the U.S. Border Patrol. Supporting the Kellogg-Briand Pact, an international agreement to outlaw war, and the Dawes Plan, which stabilized German reparations payments. Prosecuting corruption from the Harding administration (including the Teapot Dome affair) and appointing J. Edgar Hoover to lead the FBI.Using the radio extensively to communicate directly with the public, becoming the first president to broadcast major addresses via the medium. ”
Only mistake (IMHO) was appointing J Edgar Hoover to head FBI.
He tried his level best to undo the damage of Woodrow Wilson.
Shortsighted. Best president since Lincoln. Silent Cal did not have headwinds (extreme opposition) from All Sides like Trump. Only Lincoln comes close in that regard.
Nope. Best since Washington, no question.
IMHO Lincoln was an abject failure in that every other country was able to end slavery without a “bankers” war that lost over 660,000 lives. London clapped the entire length of the conflict as did northern industrialists.
As always the “Civil War” was about the money and idealism was written into the history books after the fact.
I realize this is a very unpopular opinion but it is a substantiated opinion backed by actual history and facts.
Research the NY monopoly on shipping all cotton from NYC vice direct from Southern ports due to tariffs for a start. Research that Lincoln was ready to let the last two forts in southern territory go until the shippers and bankers had an audience with Mr Lincoln.
More modern events which have been twisted to fit a narrative should clue a skeptical and discerning researcher that there was a lot more to the conflict than slavery.
So, how long did it take for Great Britain to end slavery? Heard of William Wilberforce? I’m thinking from the ratification of the constitution 1789? Slavery was ended with the 13th amendment in 1865. You do the math. That is less than 100 years. Now do Great Britain. The premier power on earth until they got their a$$es wiped by us. Oh, the answer is 1707 when they became a country. Wilberforce movement in 1833. So, what took them so long?
I loved the narrative and 67 people here agree. Money and idealism? Wow, that didn’t attribute to any problems anywhere.
The differences between the industrial North and the agricultural South were the problem. Tariffs, no kidding.
The issues of protecting Fort Sumter and Fort Pickens was on Lincoln’s plate when he took the office. He has his own cabinet members wanting him to abandon those forts including General Winfield Scott. Lincoln would not do it, henceforth the firing on Fort Sumter.
So, that is the history I remember. To think there were other “things” going on beside slavery is real. Lincoln used the issue to his advantage. Just like a lot of other presidents in history.
I still believe PDJT is the man the world needed. Thank you God. Please continue to watch over PDJT and the country. Amen
I can guarantee there will be a fund to Make Iran Great Again before this is done.
Cannot wait to see the fine print on that.
If there is a regime change, free/fair elections of new leadership and turning away from theocratic rule, would you be open to helping them rebuild?
I’m not sure I’m ready to leave the man on the street in a bombed-out hull of a country. That would seem ripe for China to set up shop. They were already getting 90% of their oil from Iran, so they are connected in some way already.
If the people are truly ‘death to America,’ and ‘death to Israel,’ then it would be sad, but not sure if they are true believers or just compliant in order to get along.
I’m willing to wait a while for answers.
Page 5, Subsection C, 4th paragraph:
“Iran and its intermediaries will be allowed to sell Persian rugs and keep 90% of all proceeds. 10% to be set aside for US arms replenishment.
All Flying Carpet sales must be approved by the FAA and will include an additional 10% surcharge and standard licensing fees to offset existing radar installation upgrades in the region and the USA.”
*According to an anonymous source close to an uncle of someone close to the negotiations.
Wow what a surprise, a negative comment from the nut of Texas; never would have seen that one coming.
You mean like the Venezuela fund?
U mad, bruh?
Good.
You are still a nut with your drive by comments
Trump’s stating/waiting for Iran to confirm the terms of the agreement as he sees it.
The pressure campaign on Iran has been real.
Actually Iran is at a critical tipping point. Read recently they’re out of oil storage capacity and the longterm damage and costs related to capping oil wells would put any economic recovery for Iran back years if ever. PDT is holding all the cards.
From people I know who have family over there…the average Iranian is tapped out in the costs of food.
I just read that Iranian women are having to make choices between buying food for their children and sanitary supplies for menstruation. The women are saying that when it comes to that choice, food MUST come first. I understand and sympathize with that decision.
However, I will note this: if you REALLY want to see a woman upset, put her in a situation where she doesn’t have stuff to handle menstrual period flows. While I certainly can’t blame them, my experience is that they don’t handle that well AT ALL!
TMI
“ No money will be exchanged, until further notice.”
The sentence speaks for itself. Trump will not release the frozen funds and accounts until the Iranians demonstrate they are playing nice. The frozen funds are the leverage, and Trump is not naive.
Organizing the Arab states and others is a force multiplier. There is more untapped power that they can bring to ending the IRGC regime. Bessent going after London financing of the regime is also key.
Agree. Going after London’s grip on power is the key. Another aspect which hasn’t been acknowledged is that most of the world’s strategic oil reserves have been depleted to offset the 20% of oil not getting out of the Straight. When this Iran thing is done and settled there will still be some global energy issues to address. That would involve not only supplying oil to meet global demand but refilling depleted reserves
Yes. UK has NEVER been a friend to US.
Patience, Persistence, Perseverance, and PRAYERS! 🙂
Please, give me a break. Trump has made this claim at least six times since late March 2026 about being on the verge of an Iran deal that didn’t materialize.
Are you prepared to eat your words and then promptly make a $1,000 donation to this site?
Why would anyone agree to do that?
Restitution for this wonderful site from those affected by TDS.
Is blue sky down?
Please quote and source all 6 times 🙂
And you do need a break…from your TDS.
Since fighting hasn’t resumed and neither side has walked away from the negotiations then it seems to me that it’s one continuous negotiation. Not six different ones. Not multiple failures.
One long dance.
I’m not a patient person and I don’t like paying over $5 a gallon for diesel fuel, but if this ends well it’s worth waiting all these weeks. No?
We can always go kinetic again if needed.
That is Trump’s MO and his number one talent; keep everyone guessing, allowing him maximum flexibility.
The President is an optimist who is not one to give up when challenges come along.
I am so glad he keeps trying. Great President and role model.
AI-generated news summary · Updated 1 minute ago
Iran-US nuclear deal negotiations remained unresolved Friday evening after President Trump convened a roughly two-hour Situation Room meeting that ended without a final decision, even as the administration described an agreement as “close.” A Reuters report citing Iranian sources indicated Tehran may agree to transfer half its 60%-enriched uranium to a third country — with Kazakhstan formally offering to host the stockpile — while an IRGC-linked media figure warned that 8 of 10 ceasefire conditions approved by new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei have not been met in the current draft, calling implementation “very unlikely.”
Reuters…lol.
Winston and I finally have an issue that we agree on. 😎
You two should get a room.
BTW, shouldn’t your screen name be “Sunshine Patriot”? 😁
Our great President has mentioned countless times the many layers of “leaders” that proposals and counter proposals have to go thru to get a response, and even then they all disagree with said response. Also many times he has postponed bombing because someone in the coalition asked him to. What a great peacemaker…I think his restraint has been legendary. Sooo easy to armchair quarterback.
God bless President Trump. And may He shut the mouths of the haters.
Iran (or the IRGC) is behaving like a chess player who knows he has lost, but refuses to resign.
I suspect that they literally DO NOT KNOW that they have lost. Fanatics are like that quite often.
This is true.
The intelligent within Iran know they’re out of options, know they’re in checkmate, but refuse to resign.
The fanatics under them see going down in flames – taking as many with them as possible – as a win, not a loss. That is what it is to be so deluded – to think you’re winning while taking the ultimate loss.
Like Canada.
Let him cook
Nothing will change long-term unless the Mullahs and the IRGC are ousted. The Persian people will continue to suffer. Israel, the land where Jesus returns to, will continue to be bombed.
I read my Bible.
I for one will be amazed if any kind of deal is made. The IRGC have taken over from the mullahs but they have split into various groups who all disagree with each other. The top leaders of these groups are almost all dead and nobody really knows who is in charge. Add the fact that Iran has broken every single deal that they ever been made and the situation is a complete mess. The only way to solve the problem in Iran is for the true Iranian people to fight the mainly Arab IRGC on the ground. I believe this will eventualy be what happens.
I would guess that at least 30% of the population is radical Muslim, another 30% is IRGC military types, and the remainder might be everyday people that just want better lives.
Unfortunately, there will need to be more dead before one of these groups gains a better majority. It will take a group of IRGC with open minds to join with the people and set out to kill as many of the radicals as possible before things settle down.
Does anybody think new leadership cooperating with Trump could lift the burka requirement without the radicals blowing themselves up to stop it? The radicals will have to leave or be killed because they will not change their minds.
This is the first sane or informed comment I’ve seen on this thread so far.
This chaos needs to end now. It’s not helping us with the 2026 midterms and gave the Democrats and news media a baseball bat to use against us.
What I really don’t understand is why the “negotiations” have dragged on for so long. Wouldn’t President Trump know after a week if Iran was serious about an agreement? Obviously, the IRGC hasn’t been punished enough to feel the need to surrender because they aren’t serious!
Trump is doing what he needs to do BECAUSE he won an election.
Why would he refrain from doing this necessary stuff in order to win an election….and then do nothing again in order to win the next one?
Nobody cares about Iran or their nuclear material buried under a mountain of granite rubble. It’s not a winning campaign issue by a long shot. Only the economy matters and that’s been proven time after time!
Just so untrue 🙂
Millions of American care very much if Iran gets a nuke or not — and want that enriched material removed from their hands.
Not only that, we are 50 billion in the hole in direct costs, not to mention future military replacement and rebuilding costs, as well as up to 200 billion in lost economic output to our economy from trade disruptions and energy inflation.
It is a massive squandering of resources. Imagine how that money, how much that kind of effort, and that kind of attention (to the matter) could be used on problems here at home.
Example; the Administration is on track to deport only about a half a million illegals a year. We have 30 million+ in this country. Do the math … it ain’t gettin done.
One atomic weapon delivered to one US city would do a 100x (incalculable amount actually) more economic damage…… not even calculating loss of life.
People forget that the other half of the nuclear equation is not just a warhead it is a missile capable of delivering that warhead over great distances…..a missile capability that Iran just recently attained and demonstrated.
Changing the entire world chess board has a cost but the world can never tolerate being blackmailed by terrorists with no qualms about causing mass destruction and world war level loss of life to gain their ends.
Where have we seen the WMD thingy before?
Here you go. A compilation of Bibi assuring us of how imminent the threat is of Iran having a nuclear weapon … from 1995 to today.
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/p0mEWmfbdIE
Zzzz…
Upside…we are no longer in danger of being nuked which renders all of your points moot.
We never were. So the best we’ll get is the previously straight open with higher gas prices? Sounds like Battered Republican Syndrome
Open straight
Iran Is NOT Vietnam.
Everyone Intelligent cares because Iran will blackmail the World.
How ? Why ?
Because to every sane person/government on the planet a nuclear weapon is a deterrent; never to be used kinetically – only as political leverage.
Iran Will use it Offensively – even if it means their own destruction.
Based on what? Same BS as with N Korea.. What is Pakistan’s religion?
Pakistan and India are there own little MAD game they are made mute for that reason N korea does not have the launch keys China does.
How does one punish another into surrender when they crave and respect death and martyrdom like they do?
Tell them that the 72 virgins are all lesbians.
80 year old Catholic School Nuns with Rulers and they know how do use them.
Stamping your feet is not a strategy.
It is pure emotionalism.
Trump is not buying real estate here. He is working to end wars and conflicts that have persisted in the Middle East for decades.
When your enemies are liars, thieves, murderers, and rapists, it becomes hard to make them obey. Trust in Trump and Bessett; they are applying pressure on Iran.
This whole situation will resolve soon. War is easy to start but hard to finish.
Jared and Witkoff are trying
I think that the idea that Trump is leading a coalition of Iran’s neighbors to this agreement, and the analysis thereof by Gingrich, are massively salient.
If the outcome of this is for most of these Arab countries signing on to the Abraham Accords — recognize Israel and normalize diplomatic relations with them — then characterizing his as “historic” is spot on.
I still believe that pretending to think that Iran will not work as hard as they can to cheat on any and all agreements is terminally naive. I would hope that Trump is both willing and even eager to remind Iran with “kinetic activity” should they not fulfill ANYTHING that they supposedly agree to.
Iran is totally untrustworthy. But if the Gulf nations understand that if and when Iran fail to uphold any of the terms…..and if they accept that we — and they! — should kinetically remind Iran of their promises — then maybe this “deal” could work.
But my firm red lines that would trigger bombing would be:
Failure to give up the enriched uranium
Failure to COMPLETELY allow traffic thru Hormuz immediately
Evidence of ANY activity to restart nuclear research
I guess we’ll see what happens!
We still have some MOABs.
This helps explains the big picture and that the big picture is bigger than I thought…
“I spent a lot of the last couple weeks reviewing kinetic options including wining the battle of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz and if necessary using the shocking and shattering level of force President Nixon and Secretary Kissinger used against Hanoi and Haiphong in Christmas 1972 (which both leaders believed convinced the North Vietnamese to agree to a truce and the freeing of American POWs). If this were a unilateral American campaign I could enthusiastically support a more aggressive kinetic campaign. However it is also clear it would shatter the coalition because our Arab allies are convinced Iran could still do enormous damage to their oil fields and infrastructure.”
Bet me the Iranians working on nuclear “dust” creation did not have a top secret, hidden place to store some away from all eyes even the Mossad and CIA couldn’t discover.
Without “unconditional surrender” any negotiation viewed as a surrender and what is supposed to be surrendered will not be close to 100%. Meaning we are just buying some time, where the evil Iranians will rise again!
🎯🙏
Wow, Newt is on board Trump Train
Has been for quite a long time……
Only when it makes him look good….. Ol’ Newt has been lukewarm at best.
I have zero trust in Iran……………..and total trust in PT doing the best deal he can……….
will it hold ??????
me thinks not for long, but Ill just have to wait and see……………there are those that will never be happy wit PT no matter what he does…..
God will be done.
Too much conflicting data to comment responsibly.
🇺🇲 Pray for our President 🇺🇲
indeed….
Don’t forget that Gingrich still believes the 2020 election was fair.
And he still believes that he’s still relevant. Shhhh, don’t tell him.
Whatever. This is a lot of mumbo jumbo for nothing. The IRGC will NEVER agree to giving up their nuclear stash. Period. As Bessent said earlier, Iran’s ‘government’ is now in 3 factions….the mullahs (and nobody has legitimately heard from them in weeks), the ‘reasonable’ government and the IRGC. It’s the ‘reasonable’ government that is in negotiations….and they can promise whatever they want. The IRGC will never agree. If you listen to Iranian TV, the IRGC are advising that the US is losing, Trump is ‘cornered’ and that Iran will never succumb to the US. While the US blockade is really effective, the IRGC WANTS the US to start military action again, so that these three factions can once again unite against the common enemy. Despite President Trump’s penchant for making deals, there is no deal to be had here.
And this is part of the profound wisdom: do not give them what they want or expect.
Thank you again Sundance for keeping us updated.
We are extremely grateful and so proud that we have a President WHO WANTS TO KEEP US SAFE.
It’s sickening that some here are not grateful for that.
Many think God owes them a perfect life and low gas prices.
Sundance is offering us the biggest picture of President Trumps brilliant strategies, NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE.
PLEASE HAVE SOME GRATITUDE.
And thank you members for letting me rant.
Trust God, serve others, we are here such a short time.

Iran will supposedly be getting 300 billion dollars to rebuild their infrastructure.
Aggiegirl has some property you might be interested in!
Puddin’n’pie Newtie. Gettin’ in his $.02, as if the MAGA gorilla needed his advice. Maybe ol’ Newt got torpedoed by Mitt Romney’s PR boyz in Fla. Or maybe Newt has always been a RINO beard. Who cares now? Not me. Whatever “revolution” Newt engineered in the last century was magnitudes less effective than even one little tweet by DJT. Let the chips fall where they may. And may the gigantic, silent, MAGA gorilla swat UniParty into the memory-hole with Boss Tweed’s Tammany Hall.
Iran should pay the world’s entire cost of this excursion, to the last penny.
All infrastructure losses, mobilization, weapons, munitions, equipment and souls lost.
100% of it should be demanded or the country is destroyed.
At this point, I think it is Iran’s turn to pay. We have the means there.
A lesson should be learned or the exercise will be repeated in a few more years.
51% of oil revenues should be devoted to repayments, until the bill is paid in full, including interest.
Iran has no business being in the nuclear field of any kind.
THAT sounds VERY
Weimar Republic
to This person
BUT i AGREE on the Nuclear Field tho
jmo
The time for talk and negotiations is long over! The Iranian leaders are just playing their usual game of obfuscation and delay. It is well past time to give the Iranian leadership and military what they deserve, and then let God Almighty sort them out.
I pray that PDJT does not get sucked into protracted talk and negotiations. These Iranians are pros at talking and moving the goal posts.
Strength, resolve, and action by the US are the only motivators for the Iranians.
As life inside the country gets more difficult; a winning long-term settlement will be possible.
By the way….it must be costing us a fortune to keep our military on duty floating around for months. Let’s use them and get them home!!
You pay their salaries no matter where they are.
It takes two to make a deal.
I’m really saddened that President Trump is succumbing to outside pressures seeking an expedient way out of this conflict instead of an all-out destruction of the regime. Anything less is a lose-lose at home politically that will embolden the radical Muslim terrorists to not just rebuild but invite Russia and China to increase their presence in the country, eliminating future action.
Delays are a weapon Iran is adroitly using to gain advantage that Israel will rightly see as unacceptable and go it alone further eroding regional relations.
Don’t overlook the “Other ARABS.” Their ancient neighbors. Whom the Iranians have been bombing indiscriminately. (Never a good idea …)
Trump knows perfectly well that he could bomb them out of existence. It is very interesting to me that he … isn’t(!!) … “simply” doing that. There is much more going on here than meets the eye.
“”The enriched material, sometimes referred to as “Nuclear Dust,” which is buried deep underground with virtually collapsed mountains, caused by our powerful B2 Bomber attack 11 months ago, sitting on top of it, will be unearthed by the United States (which, it is agreed, is the only Country, along with China, with the mechanical capability of doing so!), in close coordination and conjunction with the Islamic Republic of Iran, plus the International Atomic Energy””
Bomb the nuclear dust to kingdom-come.
Job finished.
I’m very happy to hear your take, as I’ve been a little disappointed in what I thought was happening – nothing.
I hope you are correct – it’s not an angle I had considered.
Probably the best course of action for our President to take is to ignore the far left altogether. They offer nothing constructive and are suffering from a terminal case hating DJT no matter what he says or does. In my view he is spot on to refuse any offer that leaves any radioactive material in the hands of the insane current leadership of Iran.
And the centrifuges? What happens to the centrifuges?
They’re probably 1/4” high …
Is this for real?
“President Donald Trump on Friday announced he was lifting the U.S. blockade on Iranian ports enacted last month.
The move comes amid media reports and administration messaging that Washington and Tehran appear to be drawing closer to a deal that could lead to ending the conflict. Iranian officials have rejected that notion. TWZ cannot confirm either side’s assertions.
“Ships caught in the Strait due to our amazing and unprecedented Naval Blockade, which will now be lifted, may start the process of ‘heading home!’” Trump proclaimed on Truth Social, referring to the Strait of Hormuz. The strategic chokepoint has been largely closed to most traffic by Iran since not long after the launch of Epic Fury on Feb. 28.”
…because if it is “for real” then I’m totally confused! 🤔
If the FIB could geofence J6 people, ILLEGALLY, then we can find all the asshats currently “in charge” of the Iran gubmint and bombed to oblivion. Iran should not get one penny of US money.
I find it extremely unlikely they will. What they will eventually get at some point in time is an unfreezing of THEIR assets.
In the meantime, a number of their assets are slated for destruction.
In case it was missed…with a grain of salt (NYT and sources).
when the final final final deal is finally in place I will be hugely relieved….
I suppose, next to Russia, we just couldn’t have any better friends than the Arabs.
Would take both over the Europeans or India in a heartbeat…
What PDJT and his team describe is very different from the accord the Iranians are publicly outlining, and no version seems to yet have clear enforcement provisions.
What do promises from an Iran regime to commit on paper mean?
Will PDJT’s successors act with the same spirit as he does?
Trump convenes Situation Room meeting for ‘final determination’ on Iran deal — makes new demand for ‘nuclear dust’
I’ve been hearing that gas prices are going to skyrocket soon. Some economists are saying it’s going to get really bad over the next few months. I hope they’re wrong.
