Update – CANADA WINS GOLD
Canada Wins in dramatic overtime victory. Team USA held a two goal lead with less than 4 minutes in final period. They began playing “not to lose”; it was noticeable.
Canada scored two goals in the final 3 minutes to send the game to overtime. Team USA looked dejected going into the overtime period and after 2 minutes of aggressive OT play they again stumbled back into the self-defeating “playing not to lose”. Canada won with a power-play goal. Score 3-2. Team US wins silver.

Underdog WINS !! – Switzerland beats Sweden for Women’s Hockey Bronze Medal. No Swiss hockey team had won an Olympic medal since the Swiss men did it 1948. (read about the game HERE)
Amazingly, Switzerland has a 15-year old 10th grader, Alina Muller, on the ice in this bronze medal game.
