Orlando terrorist Omar Mateen worked for G4S – a security company who provides services to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and other agencies.
G4S also states on its website: “Every G4S security officer participates in a training program that far exceeds industry standards, becoming a specialist trained to both recognize and react to unique hazards of an assigned post.”
So let’s explore:
In 2007, [Mateen] was hired by G4S, a private security firm based in Jupiter. His assignment at the time of his death: working as a security guard at a gated retirement community in South Florida, the company reported.
However, before that, G4S assigned him, for a time, to the St. Lucie County Courthouse in Fort Pierce, a gig that ended in 2013, according to court Administrator Thomas Genung. –link–

Earlier today FBI Director James Comey detailed the nature of the original complaints the FBI received back in 2013.
[…] Comey said co-workers were concerned about “inflammatory and contradictory” statements he had made, including claiming family connections to Al Qaeda.
Mateen later admitted making the statements but said he did so out of anger because he thought his co-workers were discriminating against him. The FBI closed the preliminary investigation. –link–
Oh well, as long as the FBI can excuse the complaints because Mateen was just an angry al-Qaeda operative…. or something…. I digress. Notice he said: “his co-workers were discriminating against him“, etc. ie., the CAIR defense of Islamophobia.
But do you see what’s going on here?
Sketchy Jihadist Mateen is guarding a courthouse until the FBI investigates him and G4S realizes he’s sketchy jihadist Mateen. So they change his duty assignment to simply guarding a gated community where being a sketchy jihadist is less problematic.
Some lives are more prone to valuation than others….
Government courthouse workers, Judges, lawyers = SAFE. Old, ordinary, private, mosty white folk living in gated retirement community, well… meh, not so much.
