The word “hero” has lost all of its original significance. Nowadays, every member of the Armed Forces is a hero. Every firefighter and cop is a hero. (I say this as a career Navy officer so please do not pile on.) I do admire the heckers out of this young man, though, because he seems to understand the difference between a “hero” and an exceptionally talented hockey player.

This heartwarming story just gets better all the time. America really needed this morale boost! And … it’s not a sport teh Won knows anything about, so we don’t have to deal with him taking over the airwaves to pontificate about his brackets. Doubleplus!

Saw TJ’s interview last night. What an incredible young man. Humble, polite, positive…. A great role model for our kids.

TJ and Alex (the Canadian skier who has the brother with Cerebral palsy) are my 2 favorites at these Olympics.
