In an effort to keep the Daily Open Thread a little more open topic we are going to start a new daily thread for “2016 Presidential Politics”. Please use this thread to post anything relating to the Presidential Race and/or any of the candidates therein.
This thread will refresh daily and appear above the Open Discussion Thread.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †
Note on the analysis on the bottom. It’s easier for us to share the predictable outcomes of the GOPe plan if we subtract Donald Trump from the equation. We’ve studied the GOPe plan since it was created in Feb 2014 – and everything is predictable if you remove Trump. This does not mean our support for Trump’s insurgency diminishes, it just makes it easier for you to follow along if we stick to the predictable…. /SD
——————————- New Hampshire Poll Below ————————-
The latest New Hampshire Poll (full pdf below) was conducted by UMass. The poll is a large sample size and the methodology looks solid. The poll results below reflect “registered voters”:
New Hampshire, despite its inherent political independence, is critical for Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, John Kasich and Marco Rubio because it represents a more GOPe friendly electorate. The GOPe road-map was always scheduled to begin in New Hampshire.
New Hampshire is also important for Donald Trump as a psychological factor. A second place for Ted Cruz would be considered a win for his team, but third place would also be a decent showing. (more…)
Earlier today Ted Cruz sent out a blitz of fundraising emails on the heels of his Iowa victory. Here’s an example (screen grabbed), and pay attention to the two bullet points Cruz puts at the bottom of email:
♦ Referring to bullet point #1. “I will never get — nor do I want — money from the DC lobbyists”, look at the truth: (more…)
Tonight candidate Donald Trump is holding a Rally in Milford, NH at the Hampshire Hills Athletic Club beginning at 7:00 PM EST. There is an anticipated pre-rally press conference scheduled with media.
TEXAS – A patient diagnosed with the Zika virus in Texas became infected after having sexual contact with another sufferer, health experts said today.
It marks the first case of sexual transmission of the virus in the US, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed. Dallas County health officials said the patient’s partner fell ill after visiting a country where Zika is rife.
While six people in Harris County, close to Houston, have contracted the disease after traveling to affected regions, this is thought to be the first case of a person becoming infected on US soil, having not traveled. (more…)
Until substantive and factual information reveals something divergent I’m sticking to my initial researched opinion that Marco Rubio’s campaign bid is purely a decepticon maneuver to plow through the field, and aid his mentor Jeb Bush.
(Via Allan Wall) Republican candidate Marco Rubio, in a chat with Jorge Ramos, in Spanish, made it clear that, on this issue, any differences between a President Rubio and President Obama would be insubstantial.
Matthew Boyle of Breitbart (a valuable source on immigration issues) has written up a report on the interview:
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), a 2016 GOP presidential candidate, said he believes that President Barack Obama’s first executive amnesty for so-called DREAMers—the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)—is “important” and he won’t reverse it himself if elected president. He delivered these remarks in a Spanish-language interview he gave to Univision’s Jorge Ramos.
So here is Rubio, speaking in Spanish to Jorge Ramos, a principal proponent of the Hispanicization of the U.S., telling him this. (more…)
The Canadian Clinton realizes the exposed scheme has the potential to reveal his true character so he goes immediately to the old reliable “I didn’t know” routine.
“Last night when our political team saw the CNN post saying that Dr. Carson was not carrying on to New Hampshire and South Carolina, our campaign updated grassroots leaders just as we would with any breaking news story. That’s fair game. What the team then should have done was send around the follow-up statement from the Carson campaign clarifying that he was indeed staying in the race when that came out. his was a mistake from our end, and for that I apologize to Dr. Carson.”… (read more)
Oh look, another “accident”, another “mistake”, another inadvertent “misstatement”. (more…)
