No intellectually honest person can deny the Greenville South Carolina debate was constructed to provide maximum benefit for Marco Rubio.  The structure was so brutally transparent even the customarily obtuse punditry are having a hard time obfuscating.

We have been pointing to the GOPe road-map for over two years.  As each tripwire is crossed, the ridiculous justifications of those in denial necessarily increase; but that doesn’t mean we will stop pointing out the strings on the presidential marionette show.  Cue yet another audio visual demonstration.

Do you see anything odd with this screen shot from the live CBS debate?

Perhaps you’ll note – that in order for the CBS production staff to put a Marco Rubio “immigration position” graphic on the screen, at the exact moment when he was questioned about it – there had to be a particular pre-planned intent.

And no other candidate had ANY similar graphic used, at any individual moment, on any individual topic, other than this one.  This was the only time CBS put out a candidate position graphic during a candidate response.   Are you more curious now?

The headline might sound odd at first, until you realize the debate audience was so over-the-top part of the establishment GOPe, even the willfully blind pundits couldn’t ignore it.

We knew the South Carolina audience was going to be structured by the RNC to be mostly entrenched Brooks Brothers republicans in favor of Marco Rubio.  The same general sensibility was evident in the North Charleston FNB debate.

However, what no-one could expect was how the desperation of the donor and cocktail class would cause them to lose any semblance of objectivity and instead launch into a full-throated screaming session on behalf of Senator Rubio, and to a slightly lesser extent Jeb Bush.

The GOP audience reflected one of the long-time republican truisms: the donor class is completely, intentionally and insufferably, disconnected from the general electorate.

The U.S. State Department released more of Hillary Clinton’s emails today.  One of those emails is noted as originating on March 22nd 2011, the exact day President Obama launched the attacks on Libya.

The newly released email confirms what many already knew – it was Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice and Samantha Power who convinced President Obama to go to war in Libya:

“Turning POTUS around on this is a major win for everything we worked for”..

OMG – News is breaking that 79-year-old Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia has died.  Has been on bench since 1986.

TEXAS – Associate Justice Antonin Scalia was found dead of apparent natural causes Saturday on a luxury resort in West Texas, federal officials said.

Scalia, 79, was a guest at the Cibolo Creek Ranch, a resort in the Big Bend region south of Marfa.  According to a report, Scalia arrived at the ranch on Friday and attended a private party with about 40 people. When he did not appear for breakfast, a person associated with the ranch went to his room and found a body.

Chief U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia, of the Western Judicial District of Texas, was notified about the death from the U.S. Marshals Service.   U.S. District Judge Fred Biery said he was among those notified about Scalia’s death. (link)

There is something very sad about watching a once heralded hero destroy his career credibility because he refuses to accept, acknowledge or admit his preferred candidate, Senator Ted Cruz, has some very serious and factual weaknesses.

Today radio talk show host Mark Levin accuses this site of antisemitism.

A ridiculous claim that is quickly noted and broadcast by Mediaite.

As disappointing, albeit serious, as the accusation is -and we do take it seriously- it does provide an opportunity to show how increasingly pathetic Mr. Levin has become.
