BREAKING: Washington state authorities update fatality count in mall shooting; 4 females killed

Sketchy Details – Update 2:30am – A gunman armed with a rifle is on the loose after three [four] women were fatally shot Friday night at a shopping mall about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington State Patrol said.
The shooting occurred at Cascade Mall in Burlington, Washington, before 7 p.m. local time.
In addition to the three women fatally shot, one male sustained life-threatening injuries and one female sustained non-life threatening injuries, said Sgt. Mark Francis, a public information officer with Washington State Patrol. Police initially said four people were dead. (more…)

Yesterday Ted Cruz was rebuked by his congressional peers and leadership:

WASHINGTON — Senate Republican leaders did not include a provision pushed by Sen. Ted Cruz to prevent a planned transfer of internet domain control in the text of a stopgap spending bill unveiled Thursday to keep the government funded until December.

Cruz said in a written statement that he was “profoundly disappointed” in the result of the Senate negotiations, accusing his colleagues of giving in to “White House demands to hand over increased control of the Internet to authoritarian regimes like China, Russia, and Iran.” (read more)

Police released information earlier today that Keith Scott’s fingerprints and DNA were on the hand gun, seen in eye witness reports and retrieved from the shooting.  This news apparently spurred the family of Keith Scott to attempt recovery of their narrative.

CHARLOTTE — The family of Keith Lamont Scott has released what it says is cell phone video, recorded by his wife, that shows the moments leading up to his fatal shooting by police Tuesday.

“Don’t shoot him. He has no weapon,” the woman recording can be heard saying. “He doesn’t have a gun. He has a TBI. He’s not going to do anything to you guys. He just took his medicine.”

She goes on to say: “Keith, don’t let them break the windows; come on out the car. Keith! Don’t do it. Keith, get out the car. Keith! Keith, don’t you do it. Don’t you do it. Keith! Keith! Keith!”. (read more)

However, beyond the drama and emotional content, the Scott family video release actually appears to confirm the earlier photographic release from an eye witness that a gun is on the ground near the feet of Keith Lamont Scott after he was shot by police:
