Perhaps Rick Santelli is the modern architect of the Fiscal Tea Party. It was his epic rant on TV, around the stimulus and bailout bills, which visibly gave birth to a righteous awakening of people who realized he was expressing their very concerns.
A year ago, like many others – including us, Santelli smelled something afoot with the strange employment numbers just prior to the election. He was attacked mercilessly by the left and the right who labeled him an “unemployment truther”. Yesterday, given the revelation the Census Dept. was actually fudging the figures, Santelli framed his righteous vindication.
To be fair – President Obama only said the website would be fixed by the end of November. He never actually said *which* November. So now they say this:
Meanwhile his approval ratings have dropped again. Now 37%
There is a semi-big kerfuffle about President Obama reciting the Gettysburg address for a PBS special, and yet in the Obama version he left out the “under God” phrase from the …”that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom“…. part.
White House spokesman Jay Carney on Tuesday gave a simple explanation for the reading.
“He [Obama] read the version of the address that Ken Burns provided,” he said, noting that Burns is a “noted Civil War scholar.” (link)
Only there’s something weird about that Carney explanation. Something that totally does not make sense. (more…)
This is an update to the original story:
[Excerpt from National Review] […] On October 17, the Obama Department of Health and Human Services, represented by the Obama Justice Department, submitted a brief to the federal district court in Washington, opposing Priests for Life’s summary judgment motion. On page 27 of its brief, the Justice Department makes the following remarkable assertion:
The [ACA’s] grandfathering provision’s incremental transition does not undermine the government’s interests in a significant way. [Citing, among other sources, the Federal Register.] Even under the grandfathering provision, it is projected that more group health plans will transition to the requirements under the regulations as time goes on. Defendants have estimated that a majority of group health plans will have lost their grandfather status by the end of 2013. (more…)
Of all the narrative collapses which could possibly have occurred, this has to be the most devastating. Jessica Sanford reflects the ACTUAL REALITY of ObamaCare and President Obama used her example as advocacy. WoW ! If the mainstream media picks up this story Obamacare might just collapse from the publicity.
Instead of $169/month as she thought, and President Obama claimed, her actual Obamacare premium cost is $621/month. Even higher than her pre-Obamacare quotes from private insurance companies:
WASHINGTON – Jessica Sanford, the Federal Way woman who got a shout-out from President Obama last month with her fan letter for the Affordable Care Act, got a rather rude awakening last week. Turns out she doesn’t qualify for a tax credit after all.
At least that’s what the letter said that she got from the state. Now she says her dream of affordable health insurance has gone poof. She can’t afford it. She’ll have to go without. “I’m really terribly embarrassed,” she says. “It has completely turned around on me. I mean, completely.”Chalk it up to a bollixed-up state website that apparently still has major problems. Originally it said Sanford and her child would get a whopping tax credit that would reduce their total premium to $169 a month. Now the state is telling her it goofed – twice – and she has to pay full ticket. (more…)
Yesterday in the New York Post – In the home stretch of the 2012 presidential campaign, from August to September, the unemployment rate fell sharply — raising eyebrows from Wall Street to Washington.
The decline — from 8.1 percent in August to 7.8 percent in September — might not have been all it seemed. The numbers, according to a reliable source, were manipulated.
And the Census Bureau, which does the unemployment survey, knew it.
Just two years before the presidential election, the Census Bureau had caught an employee fabricating data that went into the unemployment report, which is one of the most closely watched measures of the economy.
And a knowledgeable source says the deception went beyond that one employee — that it escalated at the time President Obama was seeking reelection in 2012 and continues today (link)
On October 6th 2012 we posted the following article and video (copied here to set backdrop): (more…)
The media is beginning to outline the financial insurance “bailouts” embedded into Obamacare.
But there’s a BIGGER picture being overlooked. Remember, this is entire process is now under the political control of Denis McDonough and Valerie Jarrett. All other considerations need to be thrown out – or you end up chasing your tail.
Obamacare, the construct thereof, the actual reality of it, is a political risk to the Democrats. The White House (McDonough / Jarrett) does not want the HHS website to be open because it now represents a reality flaw inherent in Obamacare.
Average people will be paying more for less. A working website that allows such comparisons is not in their best political interests.
So they will work diligently to keep these truths hidden. First, by manipulating the structural architechture of the website itself; second, by directing people away from the government aspect and directly to contact with the insurance providers.
The McDonough/ValJar goal is to insert distance between the real pain of an awakened electorate and the connection to that pain being caused by the White House.
