(New York) A 31-year-old woman was arrested on Saturday and charged with a hate crime in connection with the death of a man who was pushed onto the tracks of an elevated subway station in Queens and crushed by an oncoming train.
The woman, Erika Menendez of the Bronx, has been charged with second-degree murder as a hate crime, Richard A. Brown, the Queens district attorney, said. (more…)

If criminal background checks adversely impact blacks or males (race, gender – protected categories) during the employment eligibility process, then it becomes illegal to conduct background checks. This “disparate impact” test is the same test applied to the concept of school discipline previously outlined.

Three black teens, ages 17, 17, and 19 kidnapped a woman and raped her for five hours. The suspects live in a predominantly black area, but reports confirm they travelled to hunt for a woman in a demographically 96% white area. Naturally the media censors the race of the victim.
UPPER DARBY — Three young males, allegedly on the prowl to rob someone Christmas night, terrorized, kidnapped and sexually assaulted a Newtown Square woman, police said.
The victim, 22, was carjacked at gunpoint, raped and forced to perform oral sex while being driven around the city of Philadelphia and Upper Darby for five hours, according to police.
The three suspects, identified as Brehon La-Vaan Rawlings, 19, of the 400 block of Arbor Road, Yeadon, Kevin Jones, 17, of Pemberton Street, Philadelphia, and Kewon Matthews, 17, of the first block of North Millbourne Street, Millbourne, were in custody by days end Dec. 26. NEW YORK (Reuters) – A suburban New York newspaper that sparked an uproar among gun enthusiasts by publishing names and addresses of residents holding pistol permits is now planning to publish even more identities of permit-toting locals.
Further names and addresses will be added as they become available to a map originally published on December 24 in the White Plains, New York-based Journal News, the newspaper said.
The original map listed thousands of pistol permit holders in suburban Westchester and Rockland counties just north of New York City. (more…)

Feinstein’s 1994 ban listed “grenade launcher” as one of the prohibiting features for rifles. Her 2013 bill carries goes even further into the ridiculous, by also listing “rocket launcher.” Such devices are restricted under the National Firearms Act and, obviously, are not standard components of the firearms Feinstein wants to ban. Perhaps a subsequent Feinstein bill will add “nuclear bomb,” “particle beam weapon,” or something else equally far-fetched to the features list. (link)

Oh, how joyful, and insufferably naive the Constitutional Conservative, Tea Party, Republican movement was. As a lone voice, we shouted out then the opinion that it did not matter, Obamacare would get through ‘By.Any.Means.Neccessary’, because we know these people and how they operate, and it did. At $799 apiece, a savings of $300 dollars, it “was a heck of a deal,” he said. However, Kellner and his wife received only two of the three guns. They received a letter from Dick’s on Christmas Eve stating that the company would not fulfill the remainder of their order. (more…)

CHICAGO – Gave Bates smiled through tears as she swiped her hand across her phone, flipping through pictures of her cousin playing around and striking goofy poses.
“He was a lot of fun, very good at imitating people,” Bates said of Nathaniel T. Jackson, 40. “He just had so much fun all the time. And we all grew up together in the same house.”
Jackson was standing outside a store in the Austin neighborhood around 9 p.m. Thursday when someone walked up and shot him in the head, police said. His death was apparently the 500th homicide in Chicago this year, marking a grim milestone. The city last reached that toll in 2008.
