With all the White House carved out Obamacare exemptions, and strategic delays to Obamacare implementation, how much do you want to bet the delay for all Labor Union impacts is close at hand. Watch.
Sometime.. soon as the fiscal issues are resolved (CR’s issued and debt ceiling raised) there will be a Friday afternoon announcement noting that due to his magnanimous constitution, and out of an abundance of concern for listening to people, and because he is just a wonderful moderate, President Obama will exempt/delay labor unions from Health Insurance plan implementation under Obamacare. Watch.
WASHINGTON DC – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia broke ranks with fellow Democrats and said he’d support a stopgap spending plan that delays the individual mandate in President Barack Obama’s health-care law.
“There’s no way I could not vote for it,” Manchin said at a Bloomberg Government breakfast today. “It’s very reasonable and sensible.”
The individual mandate is the linchpin of the law that requires most Americans to purchase health care through government-run insurance exchanges. Republicans, led by a group of newcomers in the House, are pushing to dismantle the health-care law and are using a ticking clock on a possible Oct. 1 government shutdown as leverage. (more…)
There are few, if any, positive aspects to the national spotlight and attention surrounding the George Zimmerman case. A review of mandatory minimum sentences could be one of those outcomes.
A new trial announced today in the case of Marissa Alexander. Spotlighting a prosecutorial charge put upon by Angela Corey, the 4th District State Attorney’s Office in Jacksonville Florida; and a mandatory 20 year minimum sentence imposed by the judge after conviction.
The case is controversial, not so much for the conviction, but more for the sentence.

Under Florida’s mandatory minimum sentencing guidelines Marissa Alexander was sentenced to TWENTY years in prison for firing a warning shot in her kitchen when her husband was confronting her. They had a troubled, at times violent, history together.
Good construction of the factual backstory HERE.
There are two sides to every story, and in this case the actual conviction –based on the evidence– as found by a jury, was correct. However, the sentencing was excessive based on the actual event. A sentence structured around a charge, and mandatory 10-20-life guideline when a firearm is used in the commission of a charged and convicted felony.
[excerpt from MSN News] … The 1st District Court of Appeal in Tallahassee said in Thursday’s ruling that the trial judge made a “fundamental error” when he instructed the jury that Alexander was required to prove self-defense beyond a reasonable doubt. (more…)
Secretary Kerry, at the request, advice and consent of President Obama, has signed the United States up for the U.N arms treaty.
Defying warnings from the ranking Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Secretary of State John F. Kerry signed the United Nations Small Arms Trade Treaty Sept. 25 at the UN headquarters in New York City (link)

One of the central components of the Treaty is to require domestic regulation of “small arms and light weapons.” The treaty’s Article 5 requires nations to “establish and maintain a national control system,” including a “national control list.” (more…)

Gee, I wonder why you never heard of this race-based mass shooting incident in North Carolina, which took place while the trial of George Zimmerman was ongoing ? Hmmm… couldn’t possibly be because the media hold any disposition toward not spotlighting race-based spree shootings when the black attacker specifically asserts his chosen targets were white people. No, wait…
GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) — A man who shot four people near a Greenville Wal-Mart in June picked out his victims because they were white, according to several indictments handed down against him.

Lakim Faust had more than 100 rounds of ammunition when he started shooting at people at a law firm and a shopping center in June, authorities said.
A grand jury indicted Faust on 14 charges Monday, including four counts of attempted first-degree murder.
Faust, who is black, picked out his victims based on their race, according to the indictments. The documents didn’t specify why Faust wanted to shoot white people, and police have not talked about why he picked out his targets. (more…)

This really is no surprise. We have well documented how the average Egyptian held disdain for President Obama based on the reality that Obama supported the Muslim Brotherhood and Morsi; while Morsi was slaughtering Christians, taking over the courts, and even allowing Christian crucifixions to take place immediately outside his residence.
The average Egyptian does not welcome political Islam, terrorists, Jihadists and extremists. They have tasted freedom and like the people in Western Libya they are not going to accept Salafist dictates and Sharia type governance; all of which were supported by the insufferable duplicity and willful blindness of Senator John McCain, Secretary Hillary Clinton, Secretary John Kerry and the entire Obama administration.
So this recent example of the Egyptian sentiment should be expected. – Egypt’s Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy told the London-based Al-Hayat daily that Egyptian relations with the U.S. were “turbulent” and the Egyptian public has “unprecedented negative views” toward the United States. (more…)

We’ll have more on this later….. The Store Manager is in critical condition at Eden Valley Medical Center. Friends and family have said he is unable to recognize anyone, including his wife. (story link)
Employees and friends said Moe is a great boss and a great friend.

The Supreme Court, responding to numerous lawsuits brought about by harmed citizens, has affirmed -at the behest of all law enforcement communities- that the police have no “affirmative duty -or- responsibility” to protect any individual citizen from harm.
Quite simply, Law Enforcement is only statutorily bound to enforce laws; and/or respond to violations of law *after* an incident has occurred.
The absence of an affirmative duty to intervene prior to criminal conduct gives rise to the common concept of self defense.
It is our right to self-protection, in conjunction with our right to form associative arrangements, which gives rise to our right to form internal security agencies such as the police.
This is an essential part of the social contract with law enforcement.
However, contained within that right is the right to oversight of those agencies, and the right to alter or abolish them if they become destructive or oppressive.
This oversight is just as central, if not more so, as the establishment itself.
A fundamental unwavering principle behind the construct of internal security agencies which we create, permit and accept, is the duty to oversee such agencies within the formation of our Constitutional Republic.
[Western Free Press] John Gibson, resident of the Somers, NY, community of Lake Lincolndale, had finally had enough. After his third pro-Second Amendment lawn sign mysteriously disappeared, he set up a hunting camera to catch the culprit. Much to his surprise, the culprit turned out to be a Somers police officer.

Mary Beth Murphy, an official from the Town of Somers, contends that the police officer was acting because Gibson’s sign was in the right-of-way, rather than on his property.
However, numerous facts cast doubt on this contention, including photographic evidence of the officer’s expression and his violent attack upon the sign, and the apparent lack of any notice or citation. (more…)
NEWSBUSTERS – Dare a top newspaper journalist to play connect-the-dots and chances are he’ll fail miserably – at least with drawing the line between Islam and terrorism.
In Nairobi, Kenya last weekend, Islamist militants took over a high-end shopping mall and began executing non-Muslims. In Pakistan, Islamist suicide bombers detonated at a Christian Church on Sunday.
Yet on Monday, September 23, 90 percent of the top ten (via circulation numbers) daily newspapers’ headlines in the United States censored the words “Islam” and Muslim” from Nairobi and Pakistan reports. One – the New York Daily News – didn’t even have a headline for the latest Islamic terrorist attacks. That’s journalism at its finest. (more…)
