UPDATE: Multiple sources tell CBS News that the announcement of a grand jury decision in the Michael Brown shooting case is not expected before Monday.
A 12-member jury is weighing whether to indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, who is white, with fatally shooting Brown, a black teenager who was unarmed, on Aug. 9.
The case triggered months of protests on the streets of Ferguson, some of which turned violent. Some activists are calling for widespread changes in the way police officers interact with the community, race relations and socioeconomic factors that led to the unrest.
To that end, Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon appointed 16 people to the Ferguson Commission, which will study the issues and recommend action steps in a Sept. 2015 report. (link) (more…)

Today the FBI expanded the warnings for anticipated violence to multiple communities throughout the U.S. – The list of cities planning to join the coordinated RAGE efforts has also increased.

If you remember all of the airtime that little sound bite got back in 2012, you might think the following story would be a little more difficult for the media to avoid. I mean, really. Imagine if two black women were beaten in the street by a white person because they were black in a white neighborhood. Alas, the PC media just can’t report on the motive, even when the attacker is screaming the motive proudly. Meet 32-year-old Ebony Steward, who attacked two white people because they just shouldn’t be allowed to exist in a black neighborhood. St. Paul Minnesota – In unprovoked cases, a 32-year-old woman assaulted two women she didn’t know on St. Paul’s University Avenue, including pulling one to the ground and punching her in the head, prosecutors said Monday.
Ebony Monique Steward told police she assaulted the 40-year-old woman “because she was a ‘white girl in the hood,’ and she doesn’t like or trust white people,” according to the criminal complaint. (more…)
The mayor has not fully identified the amount of allowable violence he will permit, which leaves Saint Louis citizens to wonder what will be the allowable quota for businesses to be looted, torched, and/or individuals to be attacked? Will murder be discouraged, or frowned upon?… so many questions. ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay has requested 400 members of the National Guard to help in the city after the grand jury’s decision is announced in the Michael Brown case.
