[Transcript] – THE PRESIDENT: Hello, everybody. We’re going to Pennsylvania, on an energy meeting and speech, and look forward to it.
I hope you saw what I had to say about the safe zone in Syria, and — are dealing with Turkey. It’s been very successful. We’ll see what happens. It’s a very volatile part of the world, but, so far, it’s been pretty amazing what’s gone on. We’ve lost no soldiers. We didn’t have a soldier hurt. We didn’t have a finger broken. It’s pretty unusual.
Earlier today President Trump held a cabinet meeting and permitted the U.S. media to stay in attendance for the first hour. No U.S. President has ever allowed this level of transparency in government. After brief statements, the president took multiple questions from the assembled press pool. [Video and Transcript Below]

[Transcript] – THE PRESIDENT: Okay. Thank you very much. We have a Cabinet meeting. We’ll have a few questions after grace. And, if you would, Ben, please do the honors.
SECRETARY CARSON: Our kind Father in Heaven, we’re so thankful for the many blessings that you have bestowed upon us in this country. And we’re thankful for the people of courage who have been here before us, who have fought hard for the rights of our country.
Oh man, almost too much winning. President Trump Chief-of-Staff Mick Mulvaney brings the cold-fish slapper to a White House presser and pummels the narrative engineers. Cold-Fish Slapping is like whac-a-mole, only instead of a hammer you use a slightly unfrozen fish; and instead of mole-heads popping up, you get reporters stupid questions.
First, Mr. Mulvaney announces the 2020 G7 will be held at Trump Doral Resort in Miami Florida, June 10th – 12th 2020. The pearl-clutching media begin to quiver uncontrollably. Slap. Slap. Slap. More spontaneous ‘splodey heads…. more cold-fish-slapping. Repeat.
Then Mulvaney takes questions on Muh Ukraine and Muh Impeach-We-Much, and it becomes necessary for double-handed cold-fish-slapping. This is really good. WATCH:

The White House using Trump Doral-Miami for the G7, just because it is the best place to host the G7 is epic Trump. The media go bonkers… Trump shrugs and says: when you’re done with that, fetch me a Diet Coke. LOL.

First thing’s first: I want to comment very briefly on Mr. Cummings’s passing. For those of you who know, I was in Congress for a couple years with Mr. Cummings, and — on the committee with him. I had a chance to work with him on a day in, day out basis. And he will be missed. He was — he was a classy guy, and I enjoyed much working with him. And the condolences from my family and all of the White House group to his family today. He will be — he will be sorely missed.
Earlier today President Trump met with Italian President Matarella and held a press availability in the oval office prior to bilateral discussions. [Video and Transcript below]

[Transcript] – PRESIDENT TRUMP: Well, thank you very much. It’s a great honor to have the President of Italy with us. He is a man of great distinction. He’s highly respected in this country. And it’s nice to have you at the White House. Thank you very much, Mr. President.
We’ve had a great relationship with Italy for a long time. I don’t think it’s ever been closer than it is now. We have won a $7.5 billion award from, as you know — I guess it’s been pretty big news. And I know that this is against the European Union and World Trade — good ole World Trade. For a long time, they’ve been taking advantage of the United States. And I know Turkey is going to talk to us about their share of it because they feel they shouldn’t have to pay so much.

[Transcript] – THE PRESIDENT: So, we just completed a negotiation with China. We’re doing very well. We’re having another one tomorrow. I’m meeting with the Vice Premier over at the White House. And I think it’s going really well, I will say. I think it’s going really well.
So, we had a very, very good negotiation with China. They’ll be speaking a little bit later, but they’re basically wrapping it up, and we’re going to see them tomorrow, right here. And it’s going very well.
