Deinstitutionalization policies driven by “do good” liberals and the federal government put focus on limited bad acts. Kesey wrote a story based on his LSD induced observations in one VA mental hospital. [One Flew Over The Cukoo’s Nest]   Once his story was put into film, his small example falsely characterized the bulk of mental health care as dehumanizing and made it impossible to force the Lanza’s of the world to get treatment.

According to ABC News, Ryan Lanza, the older brother of 20-year-old Connecticut school massacre perpetrator Adam Lanza, has told police that his brother has Asperger Syndrome and another “personality disorder.” ABC News reports:  Neighbors described the younger man to ABC as “odd” and displaying characteristics associated with obsessive-compulsive disorder. As you may remember, on March 29th we were reviewing another “exclusive”  ABC release of George Zimmerman at Sanford Police Dept. when we noticed something odd, the video was/is actually a recording of a monitor.  Initially we thought that meant it was not an official release.  We were wrong.   ABC was given a digital Hi-def copy from the outset.

We now know that ABC was the first to posess a digital copy of the actual CCTV recording.  But they chose instead to use a lesser quality, and far lower definition, video.  (This is what they aired)

It Advanced In August – With President Obama issuing an “executive order”  establishing the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African-Americans.  Effectively placing “quotas” on school discipline based on race.

(Via Big Government)  Local Lansing Michigan hot dog vendor Clint Tarver was catering for Americans For Prosperity during the right-to-work demonstrations at the State Capitol on Tuesday, when two men rushed into the tent. In a video interview with Breitbart News, Clint claims one of the men wore a “Devil Mask.”

When reporter Lee Stranahan describes a Guy Fawkes mask, Tarver indicates that it sounds like that is what the assailant wore. Tarver was shown a photo of a Guy Fawkes mask after the interview and confirmed that it what the attacker who kicked over coffee machines and began attacking the tent with a box cutter, was wearing. Newsbusters – All three networks on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning ignored the violent assaults by union protesters in Michigan, instead vaguely insisting that activists were simply “voicing their anger” at the “showdown raging in the heartland.” The morning shows on Wednesday allowed little coverage of Michigan at all, a mere 72 seconds out of eight hours of programming.  (read more)

Yesterday from the border region of Afghanistan/Pakistan al-Qaeda’s #1 Ayman Al Zawahiri sent a video message to the salafists in Egypt to rise up off their prayer mats and support the sharia constitution by Muslim Brotherhood leader President Morsi.  “You must meet the request of the Egyptian people for Sharia rule in order to attain dignity and pride,” Zawahiri said in his video

That’s the same Egypt we just approved to get twenty brand spanking new F-16 fighter jets.

Also yesterday in West Africa, specifically in Mali, the freedom reform Prime Minister was forced to resign after al-Qaeda forces took control of the military and performed a coup de ta. al-Qaeda now controls the country.  Soldiers carried out a late-night arrest of Mali’s prime minister at his home here, forcing his resignation early Tuesday and casting new doubt on plans to chase out radical Islamists who control much of this troubled West African nation. I doubt you could find a more apropos example of hypocrisy than comparing the media coverage of the leftist union behavior in Michigan against the ever-false media claims of violence from the Conservative Tea Party which remains mythical and non-existent…..   

[Stella Writes]  In November there were two union-backed initiatives to change the Michigan Constitution; both failed. One would have given unions the constitutional right to collective bargaining in our state, which meant that “right to work” could not be passed here.   The unions spent millions, but lost.

Our governor [Snyder] has, in the past, said that “right to work” wasn’t a priority for him, and he felt that it was divisive. Because of the ballot initiatives backed by the unions, he has seen that they will do everything possible to push forward the power of unions, so he changed his mind on backing RTW, and today signed legislation passed by the Michigan senate and house.

Right to Work advocate and conservative voice Steven Crowder is punched in the face by IBEW union member Tony Camargo.   The union was attempting to tear down a Right to Work supporter tent with women and elderly people still inside.

(Via CNN) On Tuesday evening. Gov. Rick Snyder, a Republican, signed the legislation, which allows workers at union-represented employers to forgo paying dues.

Thousands of people, many of them union workers, gathered outside the statehouse, chanting and holding signs as snow fell.At least three school districts were closed as teachers traveled to Lansing to protest.

There are 23 states which have right-to-work laws, mostly in the South and western plains states, where union membership is relatively weak. Nationwide, union membership stands at 11.8%. (more…)
