President Obama Wants $263 Million For Federal Response To Ferguson….

CRS Coffers must be diminishing

Obama - I want you to argue with themWASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Barack Obama asked Congress on Monday for $263 million for the federal response to the civil rights upheaval in Ferguson, Missouri, and is setting up a task force to study how to improve modern-day policing.

The funds would pay for body cameras for police officers to use and expand training for law enforcement in an attempt to build trust in communities such as Ferguson, where a grand jury decided not to indict a white police officer in the August shooting death of an unarmed black teenager, the White House said.

Philadelphia police commissioner Charles Ramsey and Laurie Robinson, a George Mason University professor who is a former assistant attorney general, will lead the task force on 21st century policing, officials said. (more…)

The Saint Louis Murder of Zemir Begic – Not Random At All… Moments Earlier: "F**k the white people, kill the white people."

UPDATE:  First teen, Robert Mitchell (17), to be charged as an adult in the attack:

Robert+Mitchell+mugshot++12012014

Buried deep, intentionally deep, inside a Saint Louis Post dispatch article outlining the arrest of a 3rd suspect in the brutal murder of Zemir Begic you find the following passage:

[…] Seldin Dzananovic, 24, said the teens with the hammers approached him farther north on Gravois about an hour before the attack on Begic. He said he was able to fight them off, suffering only cuts to his hands and neck.
“I’m just lucky,” he said. “God is on my side.”

bosnianmurderedWhat’s that?
You mean the other white guy whose head was smashed by a group of “unarmed teens” wielding hammers was not the first subject of their collective interest that day?  Nothing to see here, move along, move along…
And what, per se’, could possibly be going on in/around the Saint Louis area in the lead up to Mr. Begic’s encounter with the “teens” – that would have motivated a roaming group of “unarmed black teens” seeking victims?

[…]  St. Louis police Chief Sam Dotson spoke with residents at the street protest Sunday night. He said he was sorry about what happened and sought to reassure people the killing did not appear motivated by race or ethnicity.

Nothing to see here folks, so sayeth Police Captain Dotson; who just happened to show up on the scene because it’s now his job to, well, you know, deflect attention from the consequences of allowing the ridiculous and unlawful.  I digress. (more…)

Don’t Rob A Convenience Store, Don’t Fight With A Policeman When He Stops You And Try To Take His Gun, And When He Yells At You To Stop, Just Stop

…Those comments elicited gasp from a panel that included the Washington Post’s Eugene Robinson and MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell. Mitchell exclaimed “Whoa, whoa” during Lowry’s comments, while Robinson said his recitation of the known facts in the case was an attempt to “relitigate” Brown’s death.

Four Questions – Why Is Everyone, Including Mike Brown Investigators, Ignoring The Obvious Cohort Contradictions And His Bracelet?…

bosley and Johnson
♦ #1) Mike Brown’s cigarillo robbery cohort, Dorian Johnson, claims in his grand jury testimony he and Mike Brown initially met up that Saturday morning around 7am.
However, the robbery at the Ferguson Liquor Store and Market didn’t take place until 11:40am.  The store is only a 10-15 minute walk.  (GJ Vol #4, Page 25)

Officer Darren Wilson Resigns Today….

SAINT LOUIS – Citing security fears, Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson, who fatally shot Michael Brown Aug. 9, has resigned from the police department.
Wilson, 28, who on Monday was cleared by a grand jury investigating the shooting, had been a member of the city’s police department for six years.

In a brief telephone interview, Wilson said he resigned after the police department told him it had received threats of violence if he remained an employee.
“I’m resigning of my own free will,” he said. “I’m not willing to let someone else get hurt because of me.”
He said resigning was “the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.
“This is the only thing I’ve ever wanted to do.”

Angry #Ferguson Protestors Bring Frightened Kids To Tears During Tree Lighting In Seattle…

Mommy, who is Mike Brown and why does he f*ck the policeman?

seattle 1Seattle […] Demonstrators marched through holiday traffic, blocked intersections and shut down light rail service to Westlake station. Some protesters moved the demonstration to the edge of the Capitol Hill neighborhood, where they clashed with police officers.
Both officers and demonstrators used pepper spray, police said. Some protesters wore gas masks.
Later, the city’s traditional Christmas lighting ceremony at Westlake started early after protesters surrounded the area and began rallying. Police turned out in force, arresting five people and prompting the mall to close several hours early.
Police said the arrests included people accused of assaulting officers and damaging an officer’s bicycle. (more…)

Common Sense: Deconstructing Dorian Johnson – And Why The FBI and State Officials Will Not Prosecute Him…

Treeper Commonsense has done an excellent job digging into Dorian Johnson’s Grand Jury testimony.   Many questions can be answered and additionally many explanations become self evident.   I am copying the entire analysis below (with a few edits) and inserting some additional research to help expand on the larger picture.
The issues are so riddled with complexity the scope of the article is very involved.  So sip the information slowly, bookmark to return if needed – all citations included.
Dorian Johnson hands up
The Story Begins:  Dorian Johnson’s Grand Jury testimony is utterly fascinating because it is so full of holes, and raises so many more questions.  (Who was Big Mikes roommate at Canfield?  What did they do for four hours that morning before going to the Ferguson Liquor Mart? etc.)
This can all be found in Grand Jury Volume #4:
First, the transcripts reflect, before hearing a word directly from Dorian Johnson on September 10th, the Grand Jury watched all of his media interviews.   In addition, the Grand Jury *listened to audio of an FBI interview with Dorian held on Wednesday August 13th four days after the shooting.
*This becomes key later in the testimony because some juror questions are asked that appear to come out of left field – but they are actually based on the previous information about and from Dorian the jurors have digested.
On on page 18 the asst. prosecutor lets Dorian know he’s not the focus of any criminal charges (for the robbery, for weed, etc.).  This seems to infer he has nothing to be concerned about in telling the entire truth.  Again, this becomes critical later on. (more…)
