Why I Support Donald Trump’s Campaign – And It’s Probably Not What You Think…

Begin with the end in mind – I’m not trying to convince anyone that Donald Trump is  running a campaign to actually win the GOP nomination.

Factually, I’m as uncertain and perhaps more skeptical as the next person. However, given that Trump has actually done things he normally wouldn’t do if this was a mere publicity stunt (ie. stock divestitures, removal of conflicts etc.), for the sake of intellectual argument, I’m going to assume, cautiously yet optimistically, he’s in it to win it.

So why support him?

Argument #1 – After all, he’s been a democrat, an independent, a Republican, and well, I have consistently despised Charlie Crist.

Counter Argument – Then again, what about Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, and Orin Hatch, and Lindsey Graham, and John McCain, and John Cornyn, and Thad Cochran and, well, you get the point…. What’s the difference between supporting those consistently Republican “Republicans” only to have them advocate for liberal/progressive policies.

Are the aforementioned better because they didn’t change party registration, yet act like Democrats?

Let me first explain something few fully comprehend – and fewer still, are willing accept.

People like us rail against the “establishment” because, despite the GOP claims to the contrary, they never actually do anything to stop the liberal policy agenda. One only has to look at President Obama’s veto record (four in 6.5 years) to accept that only legislation Obama agrees with is reaching his desk. (more…)

ObamaCare Exchange Health Insurance Companies Want 20% to 40%+ Premium Increases…

Under the rules within ObamaCare, the difference between the premiums they demand – and the premium price you end up paying, is the bailout amount they will get from HHS via congress.  Taxpayers are going to pay the higher premium rate no matter what; the only decision is whether it’s direct or indirect payment.

Obamacare April FoolsWashington– Health insurance companies around the country are seeking rate increases of 20 percent to 40 percent or more, saying their new customers under the Affordable Care Act turned out to be sicker than expected. Federal officials say they are determined to see that the requests are scaled back. I’ve been looking at this closely, back home in the EU there is no such nonsense, I get my E1111 plan which has been stable and established for a long time, and we are not foaming with comunism-rabies like America likes to make it seem we do.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans — market leaders in many states — are seeking rate increases that average 23 percent in Illinois, 25 percent in North Carolina, 31 percent in Oklahoma, 36 percent in Tennessee and 54 percent in Minnesota, according to documents posted online by the federal government and state insurance commissioners and interviews with insurance executives. CoC Tom Donohue’s BFF Senator Orrin Hatch Says Chief Justice Roberts “Remarkable” and “Tremendous” For Saving ObamaCare…

Don’t forget, we have Senator Orrin Hatch because Representative Jason Chaffetz took Tom Donohue’s 2011 Chamber of Commerce bribery money and agreed not to challenge Hatch in Utah’s 2012 primary (state delegate convention, not election). In addition to significant amounts of cash, Chaffetz was also promised establishment perks, a House GOP leadership position, and key chairmanship in exchange for his collaboration.

All these historical Decepticon (establishment Republican) maneuvers are achieving their intended goals.  It’s very frustrating to watch play out against the backdrop of us being called wing-nuts by other “conservatives” for the past 8 years, for predicting it..  Nuts !

WASHINGTON DC – Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) on Thursday praised Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts as a “remarkable” and “tremendous” jurist who wrote a “clever” opinion upholding a key provision of ObamaCare.

“All I can say is that the chief justice is a remarkable judge. He’s a tremendous human being. I have a tremendous confidence in him and I believe in him. I differ with him on this opinion,” Hatch said from the Senate floor. “On the other hand, it is a very clever opinion, and I have to say only a clever judge could have written it as well.”

Roberts authored the 6-3 decision handed down earlier Thursday that upheld federal healthcare insurance subsides under the Affordable Care Act. The ruling is a major victory for the Obama administration. (more…)

SCOTUS Protects ObamaCare (6-3) – Ruling: The Words “Established By The State” Do NOT Mean “Established By The State”…

SCOTUS did what many people figured they would do; with Chief Justice Roberts, yet again, joining the bench legislatures in a veiled effort to avoid the impression of a 5-4 ideological court.

Obamacare broken window theory Bastiat

SCOTUS – Today, by a vote of six to three, the Court agreed with the Obama administration that the subsidies are available for everyone who bought health insurance through an exchange, no matter whether that exchange was created by a state or the federal government.

Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the Court’s opinion, which Justices Anthony Kennedy, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor, and Elena Kagan all joined.

The Court acknowledged that, at first blush, the phrase “established by the State” does not appear to include the federal government. After all, the ACA specifically defines “State” as “each of the 50 States and the District of Columbia.” But other parts of the law, the Court explained, suggest that the “meaning of the phrase ‘established by the State’ is not so clear.” (more…)

Burwell, in which the court must decide whether the 6.4 million people getting subsidies on the federal exchange to buy ObamaCare will be able to continue doing so; and Obergefell v. Hodges, where the court is being asked to decide whether bans on same-sex marriage are constitutional and whether states must recognize same-sex marriages performed legally in other states.  The Texas Housing v Inclusive Communities “disparate impact” decision is also possible.

We can anticipate one or more decisions today and tomorrow. SCOTUS BLOG HERE They will live blog decisions beginning at 9:00am Eastern.

What Does The Media Do When Catching White House Lying – Why, Hide It and Blow It Off, of Course…

20,000 emails between Gruber and the White House prove the Obama administration was massively lying about Jonathan Gruber’s involvement with their construction of the ObamaCare fraud. And what happens when the emails are exposed?….

jonathangruber(Via Real Clear Politics) What happens when the news media catch the White House in a demonstrable lie? That depends entirely on whether they like the administration. If they loathe the administration, it’s front-page news. If they like it, they spike the story. As Momma used to remind us, if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all. What a great motto for reporters.

That is exactly what the national media have done to an important story about the White House’s intimate working relationship with MIT professor Jonathan Gruber, who helped craft the Affordable Care Act. You may remember Gruber from his infamous videotapes, the ones in which he called the American public too stupid to understand the law. He added their stupidity was helpful to Obama, Pelosi, and Reid in passing the law. (more…)

Ted Cruz On CBS Handles Gotcha “Obamacare” Question Smoothly….

It’s the progressives #1 Obamacare claim – if you want to repeal it, you are throwing 16 million people off healthcare plans. So when the CBS team tries the question, Ted Cruz gives them an accurate retort. Well done.

…”Well, you know, those numbers don’t tell the whole picture. For one thing, the bulk of those numbers are coming from expanded Medicaid. And Medicaid is a program where a lot of the people on Medicaid are not getting health care. Medicaid is a system that is already overburdened and more and more people are just getting waiting lists and not actually getting health care. Beyond that — remember, six million people had their health insurance canceled because of Obamacare. You’re not doing someone a favor if you cancel the health insurance they like and then force them to buy new health insurance at higher premiums that covers less”….

Democrats Again Trying To Delay Intentional Consequences From ObamaCare….

Obamacare sucks. Everything about it was based on lies, false presentations, and outright manipulative efforts from Democrats.

As a direct result of the worst legislation ever constructed the vast majority of Democrats have been running from it ever since it was signed into law. Democrats know know the toxic nature of the fraud they created. Higher insurance costs, lower healthcare services and financial impacts to the average person that are ridiculously unaffordable.

Obamacare

Obamacare is the primary drag on the economy and businesses, sucking money away from businesses and individuals. Hence Democrats have continually asked for delays in an effort to avoid the political consequences. Here’s another:

(Via Daily Caller) A group of Democratic senators is urging the Obama administration to delay a key portion of Obamacare because the results could be “harmful and disruptive.”

In a letter exclusively obtained by The Daily Caller, Senate Democrats pleaded with Health and Human Services secretary Sylvia Matthews Burwell to delay an Obamacare rule change that puts companies with 51 to 100 employees in the costlier “small group” market instead of the “large group” market. The rule change, which will result in higher premiums for many companies, goes into effect in 2016. (more…)
