“Extortion 17” was the call sign for the Chinook helicopter shot down in Afghanistan on the night of August 6th, 2011.   Among the killed in the crash were 25 special operations forces, including 15 members of SEAL Team 6, five National Guard troops, and eight Afghan nationals.

Yesterday, the families of the military personnel  killed in that crash held a press conference to lay out the cover-up by Obama and the military ever since. (more…)

Three families of Navy SEAL Team 6 special forces servicemen, along with one family of an Army National Guardsman, will appear at a press conference on May 9, 2013, to disclose never before revealed information about how and why their sons along with 26 others died in a fatal helicopter crash in Afghanistan on August 6, 2011, just a few months after the successful raid on the compound of Osama Bin Laden that resulted in the master terrorist’s death.

Yes, you heard that right. The murdering, older brother who killed three and maimed hundreds more innocent people at the Boston Marathon, including an eight-year-old blown to bits has been offered a National Cemetery burial plot by a USAF veteran named Julie Frein. What?

Like much of President Downgrade’s tenure the Syrian fiasco is one of insufferable consequences resulting from a ‘lead from behind’ strategy.

The window of opportunity for the U.S. to take action passed two years ago when the actual Syrian people, the ordinary freedom citizens, were crying out for help.  Over the course of the two years that followed those ordinary voices have been overrun by extremists who jumped into the vacuum created by a lack of action.

Now Syria has devolved into a brutal Assad regime being fought by an even more brutal group of al-Qaeda extremists, while supported by Egypt and Muslim Brotherhood elements.   The ordinary freedom movement is hiding amid destroyed homes, broken glass, and blood stained curtains.

Syria is Obama’s Iran 2.0 deja-vu.   In Iran 2009, the “Green Movement” suffered a similar fate to the ordinary Syrian seeking freedom.   President Obama ignored them both when the window was open – In Iran the Islamic iron gates locked down the opening, in Syria the same is taking place. A civilian cargo aircraft crashed at Bagram Air Field near the Afghan capital Kabul on Monday, killing all seven people aboard. The plane came down shortly after take-off and crashed within the boundaries of the US-run airbase, a NATO spokesperson at the base said. The Taliban quickly claimed responsibility for the crash, but the coalition dismissed the claim as “false” in a statement to AP. The cause of the crash is being investigated by emergency crews, but no sign of insurgent activity in the area was spotted at the time, the statement added.

KABUL, Afghanistan — For more than a decade, wads of American dollars packed into suitcases, backpacks and, on occasion, plastic shopping bags have been dropped off every month or so at the offices of Afghanistan’s president — courtesy of the Central Intelligence Agency.

All told, tens of millions of dollars have flowed from the C.I.A. to the office of President Hamid Karzai, according to current and former advisers to the Afghan leader.

“We called it ‘ghost money,’ ” said Khalil Roman, who served as Mr. Karzai’s chief of staff from 2002 until 2005. “It came in secret, and it left in secret.” (more…)
