Once again the appeasement POTUS fails on the international stage of influence.  Last week the White House announced it was willing to talk to Iran face-to-face.   Iran responds to President Obama telling him to change his attitude and they’ll think about granting him the privilege of their association.

IRAN – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Sunday said the United States must change its attitude if it wants to hold direct nuclear talks with Iran, as he hit out at Washington for imposing sanctions on Tehran, AFP reports.

His comments, in a speech marking the 34th anniversary of the Islamic revolution that ousted the U.S.-backed shah in 1979, came just days after Iran’s supreme leader rejected U.S. Vice President Joe Biden’s call for direct talks.

They also come at a time when Tehran and six world powers are preparing to resume stalled talks over Iran’s nuclear programme in the Kazakh city of Almaty on February 26.

“The change of tone is necessary but not sufficient,” Ahmadinejad said at Tehran’s landmark Azadi (Freedom) Square amid chants of “Death to America,” according to AFP. (more…)

Lots of folks are praising Lindsey Graham for his stance about Benghazi.   However, it is prudent to remember he has been a face of manipulated optical opposition before.  I don’t trust Graham, and this could well be just another decepticon angle to keep the patriots away from the gates as they look back yelling “we got this”.   They don’t want you, me, or anyone, looking over the wall or beyond the gate.

WASHINGTON DC – Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) appeared on CBS News’ Face the Nation with Bob Schieffer on Sunday where he pledged to try to block the nominations of both Chuck Hagel and John Brennan in an effort to get more information about the 2012 attack on an American consulate in Benghazi out of President Barack Obama.

Graham told Schieffer that he thought it was unfortunate that Obama did not place a personal call to officials in the Libyan government on the evening of September 11, 2012, when an American consulate in Libya was overrun by militants. (more…)

WASHINGTON DC – On Thursday, Senate sources told Breitbart News exclusively that they have been informed that one of the reasons that President Barack Obama’s nominee for Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel, has not turned over requested documents on his sources of foreign funding is that one of the names listed is a group purportedly called “Friends of Hamas.”

Yesterday, 25 senators sent a letter to Hagel demanding information on his foreign funding. Hagel has refused all such requests, prompting the senators to state, “in the judgment of the undersigned, a Committee vote on your nomination should not occur unless and until you provide the requested information.” (continue reading)

WASHINGTON DC – Defense Secretary Leon Panetta testified this morning on Capitol Hill that President Barack Obama was absent the night four Americans were murdered in Benghazi on September 11, 2012:

Last week we discussed Osama Bin Laden Jr. being captured by Turkish authorities.   Now reports are coming out they just let him walk.

(Washington Free Beacon) Turkish authorities reportedly captured and then released Friday morning the fugitive son-in-law of terror mastermind Osama bin Laden after he was allegedly caught entering the country illegally, according to Turkish press reports.

Suleiman M., bin Laden’s son-in-law, was reportedly arrested in Ankara by Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization after United States intelligence sources in Washington, D.C., informed Turkish authorities of his location, according to a report in Turkey’s Hurriyet Daily News.

A CNN Turkey reporter additionally tweeted early this morning that “bin Laden’s son in law was caught in Ankara,” according to a translation of her tweet in Turkish. (more…)

Turkey, once a key ally of Israel before Erdogan took office, is calling on Syria to attack Israel as retaliation for the Israeli pre-emptive bombing of chemical weapons depots in Syria.   ….. You know that neighborhood jackwagon who is always looking to instigate trouble,…. well, that’s Turkey now in Obama’s term(s)….

TURKEY – Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu slammed Israel’s alleged strike in Syria, urging Damascus to retaliate, the Hurriyet news agency reported.

“Why didn’t (Bashar) Assad even throw a pebble when Israeli jets were flying over his palace and playing with the dignity of his country?” Davutoglu told reporters Saturday on his way to an international conference on Syria in Munich, which Defense Minister Ehud Barak is also expected to attend. Today, yet another embassy is attacked, this time in Turkey.   Today is also Hillary Clinton’s last offical day as U.S. Secretary of State, and this brings the number of embassy attacks to eight since she began to represent President Barack Obama’s foreign policy agenda.  

(Reuters) – A suicide bomber who attacked the U.S. Embassy in Turkey on Friday, killing himself and a security guard, was believed to have been a Turkish citizen, Interior Minister Muammer Guler told reporters.

A Reuters witness saw one wounded person being lifted into an ambulance as police cordoned off the area following the explosion, which sent smoke and debris flying into the street. (more…)

Several weeks ago when doing research into Denis McDonough, Obama’s pick to be his Chief of Staff, we ran accross this older insightful comment from a former member of Chuck Hagel’s staff.   I book marked it to review again during the confirmation hearings. Wow, this former employee of his staff really hits the nail on the head.

At one time I worked in Senator Chuck Hagel’s office. I believe readers may be interested in my observations of Senator Hagel.

He has a limited educational background, and worked as a local broadcaster in Nebraska before getting his start as an aide to a Nebraska congressman in the 1970s. Before that, he fought in Vietnam, where he was seriously wounded. With his Capitol Hill background and war record, he obtained a high position in the Reagan administration’s Department of Veterans Affairs. Then he had some friends who were investing in the new cellular phone field; he sold his car to raise the funds to invest with them. That’s how he became a millionaire. And in a small state like Nebraska, that’s how a person possessed of the requisite ego, regardless of other qualifications, including intelligence, becomes a United States Senator. (more…)

I doubt anyone could ever watch a more categorically inept nominee face questioning than former Republican Senator Chuck Hagel.    President Obama appears to have nominated Hagel for only one reason – ideological synergy:   Lead from behind, follow the principle of flawed R2P mindset, and intentionally diminish the capacity of the U.S. Military.

Clueless would be the best descriptive.
