A few months before the primary season began, before Iowa cast its first vote, we pointed out this video and the message it contains.
The “Monster Vote” is the voting bloc of those who had turned away from politics; those how gave up, and/or just never voted in the first place.  This video was/is prescient in retrospect when you consider the record-breaking volume of primary voters who have turned out to support Donald Trump.

In many ways what Citizen Dale describes in this video is exactly what’s happening.  However, what is described in the Monster Vote is also never discussed in the media when the professional political class and punditry use historical reference points to make their arguments.   (more…)

Radio screamer Mark Levin’s approach at selling his nonsense can be captured within the following quote:

If you make people think they’re thinking, they’ll love you. If you really make them think, they’ll hate you. ~ Don Marquis

Levin’s approach relies on gaslighting an audience into “thinking they’re thinking“.  This was never more clear than today when Mark Levin pens an article calling candidate Donald Trump “A Globalist“, and then assembles a word salad of counter-intuitive arguments to prove a ridiculously false assertion.

However, there is a profound benefit to seeing Mr. Levin completely remove the mask of his crony-constitutional ruse, join arms with Tom Donohue and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and simultaneously present himself naked to an audience breaking free of battered conservative syndrome.
The basic arguments made by Levin are so ridiculous, they fall directly into the same category as New York Times economist/propaganda-specialist, Paul Krugman.

Candidate Donald Trump fired a subtle shot toward Hillary Clinton and her traditional constituency today by pointing out some insurgent support amid the Teamsters Union.   The strategy behind this seemingly odd ‘out-of-left-field‘ shot is actually quite brilliant:

As with almost everything Trump messages, the element of uncomfortable truth comes directly to the surface.  Because the inherent disposition of the opponent is to avoid talking truthfully and directly (see: own the downside), the discomfort is directly felt by them.

Matthew Sheffield brings up a really good point, and asks a great question.
Through May 3rd, 2016:

• 2016: Donald Trump won 40.4% of vote, everyone else 59.6%
• 2012: Mitt Romney won 37.5%, everyone else 62.5%

More people voted against Mitt Romney in ’12, than have voted against Donald Trump in 2016 –Data Here– So why wasn’t there a #NeverRomney movement?

What this reality actually does is destroy the current narrative and prove the #NeverTrump people are nothing more than DC beltway party ideologues and those who make a living from: 1) propping up the UniParty directly, or 2) giving the appearance to stand in opposition to the UniParty.

Just want to point out something simple, yet seemingly getting lost in the chatter.
It is not the “conservative base”, the grassroots or the average Joe or Jane from Main Street USA who are currently digging in their opposition to Donald Trump.  The base, the middle class, is entirely behind Trump.

The oppositional forces are the entrenched political class, the establishment, the elites and those who financially benefit from the DC status quo.  This group includes the professional punditry and chattering class who associate with the DC confabs.
Voices who assign divergent attributes are entirely gaslighting their audience.  Believe your own eyes and break the cycle of Battered Conservative Syndrome.

INDIANA – Less than a week after proclaiming to Indiana voters that he would vote for Ted Cruz in his state’s primary — a tepid endorsement that featured high praise for Donald Trump — Indiana Gov. Mike Pence has made it official: He is all in for the presumptive Republican nominee.

“I’m fully supportive of our presumptive nominee, and I do think Donald Trump will do well in the State of Indiana,” Pence told reporters, according to Indianapolis’ Fox affiliate. “I’m going to campaign hard for the Republican nominee because Indiana needs a partner in the White House.”  (read more)
