Two New York police officers where shot yesterday. Given the heightened sense of concern stemming from the “FTP” movement assassinations, many people are wondering if these shootings are related. The shootings do not appear related:
New York […] The unidentified officers were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital where they are in critical but stable condition, and are expected to recover, the NYPD said.
The anti-crime officers, who were in plain clothes, were part of a group of five officers who were responding to a call about a robbery at a grocery store on East 180th Street in the Bronx, Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said.
The officers were approaching two suspects who had just entered a nearby restaurant when one of the suspects opened fire, Bratton said. The officers returned fire and two of them were wounded.
[…] Bratton said the two suspects fled on foot to Marion Avenue, where they carjacked a white Camaro from two women. Shortly after, they abandoned the car and continued to flee on foot, police said. On Saturday and Sunday morning in California and New York, activists from the Black Lives Matter group invaded numerous eateries shouting, harassing customers and screaming anti-police rhetoric. Their stated goal was to impress upon people of all races the struggles of what it’s like to be black in America. Unfortunately for them, their cause was mostly ignored and in many cases mocked by patrons and social media.
In a document obtained by Weasel Zippers, activists outline their plans for disrupting businesses, assigning members of their group to stall and talk with store owners and management. They assign various persons the tasks of taking photos, shooting video, interacting with police and ensuring the safety of illegal and disruptive demonstrations.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY • A member of the grand jury who declined to file criminal charges against former Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson in the death of Michael Brown sued St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert McCulloch Monday for the right to speak publicly about the proceedings.
The plaintiff, identified in court documents only as “Grand Juror Doe,” has alleged First Amendment violations in a civil suit filed in federal court in St. Louis. According to the lawsuit, Doe wants to talk publicly about the experience of serving on a grand jury, the evidence and investigation that the plaintiff believes would educate the public and “to advocate for legislative change to the way grand juries are conducted in Missouri.”

(Via BizPac Review) A Maryland public school took students as young as 11 to hear a speech by Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan last month that included calling white people “crackers” and threatening to “tear this goddamn country up!”
According to EAG News, Farrakhan’s Nov. 22 speech was the keynote of an event at historically black Morgan State University that focused on fostering grievances with the theme “Re-Claim, Re-Pair, Re-Form, Re-Produce, – REPARATIONS NOW!”

Ahhhh, the world of liberal progressives – from the government that give us: Toilets that don’t flush, Cars that don’t start, detergents that don’t clean, water so hard you have to soften it and light bulbs that don’t illuminate, American Thinker has a great article highlighting how seemingly small regulations are piling up and creating big problems.

AMERICAN THINKER – Our dishwasher broke just after Christmas. The timer stopped working, and a new one costs about $100. My wife suggested that since the dishwasher is nineteen years old, we should buy a new one. Up until now it was working very quietly and efficiently, washing and drying a full load in about an hour.
We visited the appliance shop where we had recently purchased a new clothes washing machine a few months earlier. I mentioned to the salesman that our new washer was very slow, taking nearly two hours to finish a large load compared to our old one, which took about 35 minutes. With a bright smile, he explained that that was because of the new federal energy efficiency standards for clothes washers enacted by the Obama administration’s Department of Energy in May 2012. INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis police were responding to reports of multiple fights and gunshots at Castleton Square Mall Saturday evening.

IMPD dispatch confirmed the incident, but said few details were available.
Tony Katz, host of The Morning News on RTV6’s newsgathering partner WIBC, was at the AMC Theater in Castleton at the time and described the scene:

“I was in the Hunger Games, the 6:20 showing, so it was well into the movie. No one heard any gunshots. A man with a baby had gone outside of the theater, and then he came back and said, ‘I don’t know what is going on, but people are screaming and heading this way.’ So everybody got up and headed toward the exits.” (more…)

Yesterday, The Daily News outlined a story of a predatory attack where Ohio teen, Cheyanne Willis, says her then boyfriend drove to a parking lot where she was ambushed by six women.  Today another story of Black Mob Violence hits the headlines…
VALLEY VIEW, Ohio – A viewer sent NewsChannel5 video of the fight that broke out at the Valley View movie theater Friday evening.  Police say nearly 200 to 300 juveniles were involved in the brawl, which happened in the lobby.

The call came in about 9:30 p.m. at the Cinemark At Valley View And XD located on Canal Road, according to police.
Valley View Police Chief Matthew March told NewsChannel5’s Michael Baldwin that 10 police departments responded to the scene. (more…)

NEW YORK – A Brooklyn activist who has written anti-cop screeds – and boasted of punching his boss in the face – was busted Thursday over the infamous attack on the two NYPD lieutenants during a Brooklyn Bridge protest, officials said.

Jarrod Shanahan, identified by the NYPD as ‘Male Suspect #2′, was caught on video kicking one of the cops after a mob of protesters dragged him down on Dec. 13. (more…)
