The second Democrat Presidential debate starts at 9:00pm Eastern.  It is available via CBS LiveSTREAM HERE  Unlike the CNN debate, CBS has carefully constructed their debate format and provided each of the presidential candidates with a preview of questions to be asked by debate moderators.

However, in the final hours a request to spend more time discussing terror and foreign policy, as a result of the Paris attack,  was turned down by the Bernie Sanders campaign.

(Via Politico) This Saturday’s second Democratic debate will be a much smaller affair than the first. With only three candidates on stage, CBS News plans to delve deep into the issues with each candidate and have taken advantage of the smaller pool by doing some intense research.

Moderator John Dickerson and his team met with each of the campaigns for more than an hour to discuss the major issues at play in the race, sources on the campaigns said, describing the pre-interview as “informational in nature.” Dickerson is not giving candidates previews of his questions for the debate.

Prior to the CNN debate, the campaigns said moderator Anderson Cooper did not reach out directly to them before the candidates took the stage. (more…)

(Via Fox News) The first column I wrote on the Mizzou controversy analyzed the allegations and pointed out that firing a president had zero connection to any of the allegations or the demands for the protesters.

In that column I accepted the protester’s allegations as true. But as the week has gone on and the protesters have been exposed as anti-first amendment, selectively racist, and, last night, willing to perpetrate actual lies to get more attention, isn’t it time to examine whether these incidents are actually real? WASHINGTON DC – One of the largest unions of construction workers slammed President Obama for his decision to reject the Keystone XL pipeline Friday, accusing the president of showing “utter disdain” for the American worker.

Terry O’Sullivan, general president of the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA), accused Obama of bending to special interest groups by choosing to decline TransCanada’s proposal to build the pipeline in pursuit of his climate change agenda.

“President Obama today demonstrated that he cares more about kowtowing to green-collar elitists than he does about creating desperately needed, family-supporting, blue-collar jobs,” O’Sullivan said in a statement Friday. (more…)

Washington Free Beacon reports on a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) signed by Hillary Clinton accepting legal responsibility for protecting sensitive and classified information.

WASHINGTON DC –  As the nation’s chief diplomat, Hillary Clinton was responsible for ascertaining whether information in her possession was classified and acknowledged that “negligent handling” of that information could jeopardize national security, according to a copy of an agreement she signed upon taking the job.

A day after assuming office as secretary of state, Clinton signed a Sensitive Compartmented Information Nondisclosure Agreement that laid out criminal penalties for “any unauthorized disclosure” of classified information.

Experts have guessed that Clinton signed such an agreement, but a copy of her specific contract, obtained by the Competitive Enterprise Institute through an open records request and shared with the Washington Free Beacon, reveals for the first time the exact language of the NDA. (more…)
