At this point it’s not funny how this happens.  In reality those who follow DC events will note this is almost an exact replay of earlier Lawfare battles surrounding the FISA warrant public release. Same characters, same arguments, same players, same corrupt intents. [Redacted DOJ Filing Here]

In 2017/2018 the issue was corrupt DC interests arguing for the public release of a top secret classified document, the title-1 FISA surveillance warrant used against Carter Page.  The warrant was already leaked to the media on March 17, 2017, when the lawfare assembly later wanted to exploit it.

In the 2026 re-run, the issue surrounds the DHS/HSI search warrant executed against Ilhan Omar.  The DOJ wants to keep it sealed until the warrant has been fully executed, implying there are alternative parties who have been requested to provide additional information.  The Lawfare group want the search warrant details released to the public now so the allied group can organize and exploit public defenses.

Neither the FISA warrant nor a HSI search warrant had/have ever been released prior to full execution therein. DC Judge James Boasberg, a horrible man of intemperate and corrupt disposition, will now decide the release of the latter.

WASHINGTON – […] The battle over whether to unseal the search warrant comes amid two separate federal investigations into the Democratic congresswoman stemming from concerns about discrepancies between financial disclosures filed a year apart and allegations that her father committed fraud when completing immigration paperwork. Omar immigrated to the United States from Somalia in 1995, when she was 12 years old. Investigators are examining whether her father misstated her age on his citizenship paperwork in 2000, potentially allowing her to obtain citizenship through him as a minor.

But the fight over whether to unseal the records is being overseen by Chief Judge James Boasberg of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, an Obama appointee and longtime target of Trump.

[…] Days after Department of Homeland Security Investigations and the FBI conducted a raid on Omar’s home under a search warrant issued by U.S. Magistrate Judge Matthew Sharbaugh, three separate requests were made to unseal the warrant — by the New York Times; Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group; and 14 press organizations.

Boasberg ordered the Justice Department to defend its position on keeping the warrant sealed in response to a consolidated request from the Times and 14 press organizations by Oct. 22, but he extended the deadline following a Justice Department request to wait until the search warrant was “fully executed.”

The Justice Department argued that releasing the information could compromise the integrity of the investigation. (read more)

No one should be silly enough to believe the target Ilhan Omar didn’t already share the warrant with political allies as it was delivered to her and her representatives during execution.

IMHO, without a doubt the media already have the executed warrant in their hands, the Lawfare operatives have reviewed the content and defensive meetings and strategy sessions have already taken place in person and in chat groups with ideologically aligned jour-o-listers.

The alternative is to believe that Ilhan Omar did not share it with democrat leadership, the DSA group, media allies, advocates and lawyers who represent her interests. So, the question is, should the same search warrant background be made public?

All of the advocates and lawyers may have full knowledge of the material in the search warrant; however, they are not able to execute the public defense strategy without revealing that Omar has given it to them. Thus, they want it public.

Enter, Judge James Boasberg who, not coincidentally was the central figure in the Title-1 FISA Warrant request from 2017, and who will now be the decisionmaker on whether -for the first time in history- a search warrant was released to the public prior to the fully executed process to obtain the material that is inside the warrant itself.

The public release of a non-fully executed search warrant has never happened before.

The public release of a Title-1 Surveillance Warrant (the CP FISA warrant) also never happened before, until suddenly it was released in 2018…. for some odd reason (never explained), despite the national security shield that surrounds the entire FISA system, which easily blocks any public releases.

The Carter Page FISA Warrant was already leaked to the media at the time it was being requested to be released. The media couldn’t admit they had the warrant…. but they wanted to exploit a narrative around it…. so they wanted it officially made public. This is a similar scenario.
