The aspect that is laughable is not that Canadian government officials constantly try to interfere and manipulate U.S. elections, the laughable part is that their Prime Minister would deny it in the face of overwhelming evidence.
Canada routinely attempts to interfere in U.S. politics while hiding behind their own position of pearl-clutching sovereignty. Even as Mark Carney was speaking today, former Deputy Prime Minister, and current Canadian special representative to Ukraine, Chrystia Freeland is currently on a promotional tour for her book about influencing U.S. elections and opposing Donald Trump.
Former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and current PM Mark Carney frequently meet with Democrat leadership in congress to strategize ways to influence election outcomes. In fact, Mark Carney hired American Maia Johnson, a Democrat operative and former campaign organizer for Hillary Clinton to be his current Chief of Staff in Canada.
With the midterm elections soon upon us, the U.S. Consulate to Canada officially told Canadian officials to stop trying to influence the election [SEE HERE] citing a dozen examples of Canadian govt officials purposefully outlining their intent to manipulate U.S. politics. Against that warning, Prime Minister Carney was asked about it. His response is typically Canadian. WATCH:
U.S Consulate: “The Canadian government brushes off concerns about potential interference in U.S. elections, even as its ministers and premiers openly describe plans to influence American politics in official documents and public appearances.” (more)

Duplicous
A Carney who says this is A Carney who betrays Canadian values of honesty.
Carney is no more Canadian than a snake dressed up to look like a beaver
No Carney we don’t want Chinada to become the fifty first state. We already have enough traitorous lying cowards called Rino’s and Democrats.
Guessing any book by
that sow Chrystia Freeland will not be a best seller. Aren’t those
“Book deals” just a means to hide illegal cash payments or thefts?
Mark Carney’s statement that Canada is “very, very careful to not be seen to interfere” in U.S. elections, stems from his character and self-awareness/or lack of.
In his typical contradictory messaging – while publicly stating there is “no merit” to U.S. claims of interference, his phrasing is admitting to covert influence while feigning innocence. What then is it other than an admission that Canada engages in interference but aims only to avoid getting caught?
Carney’s remark that Canada maintains deep diplomatic ties with U.S. stakeholders and that it is diplomacy to avoid unsubstantiated allegations rather than to hide illicit activity. What hypocrisy. He certainly reveals interference. True diplomatic integrity requires avoiding interference altogether, not just the perception of it. To say Canada is “very, very careful to not be seen to interfere” does not only carry an implication that interference is occurring but it is interfere with the goal merely to manage the optics.
A government with genuinely nothing to hide could simply say “we do not interfere, full stop.
Exactly
He basically said “we are trying hard not to get caught”
What an assh*le
That’s exactly how I read it also.
That should put a target on him as a threat to America’s sovereignty!!
This is Carney’s response for the benefit of the “elbows up” sheep who are fed everything by the corrupt Cdn news media.
