For those just recently entering the era of ‘great awakening’, let this type of nonsense propaganda serve as a starting point to realize what CTH has described from the outset of the Ukraine-Russia ‘conflict’ as, essentially, World War Reddit.
There are approximately 140 million Russian people living in Russia. Of that population there are approximately 60 million males. Of the 60 million males there are approximately 20 million men aged 18-35. Additionally, 75% of the Russian population lives in urban centers, ie. cities.
If 1.4 million men (out of 20 million) were killed or wounded in the Ukraine conflict, the hospitals and convalescent facilities in around the cities of Kazan, Moscow and St Petersburg would be full; at least significantly beyond ordinary medical capacity. They are not. Not even close.
I have no idea where these western ‘intelligence’ analysts and experts come up with these statistics, but they are so far beyond nonsense the light from where silly stuff originates could not reach them for years. They could have just used the word “eleventy’. There is nowhere near that number of KIA/WIA in Russia; not even close.

Just a small correction. Ukraine does not worship or wishes to be part of the Russian Orthodox Church. Ukraine has its own patriarch and its own Orthodox Church as I understand it. The Russian Orthodox Church was imposed on Ukraine during the Soviet era when Ukraine was subjugated for years by Russia and both the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the Ukrainian Catholic Church were persecuted endlessly. In fact, the Russian Orthodox Church when in Ukraine, served as an informant network for the Russian government and the KGB in its pursuit of Ukrainians who did not accept the Russian Orthodox Church. I hope that helps. And thank you for noting that the taking of Crimea by Russia is one of the key reasons that eventually led to the war we see taking place today.

Col MacGregor estimates 350,000-400,000 KIA. During most of the war the Russia:Ukraine KIA ratio was maybe 8:1.
Then drones came along and they expect us to believe the new ratio is 1:10? That would mean that 800,000 Russians died in ONE year.
MacGregor estimates Ukraine KIA at 1.4M-1.6M. How do that number get so high? The #1 reason is Ukrainians must pay to get rescued and taken to a hospital. No money, you die on the spot.
MacGregor also opined the war would last a few weeks.
I agree, MacGregor has lost credibility. For months he arrogantly opined that the war was basically over with Russia being the victor. Years later blood is still being shed. I don’t listen to MacGregor any longer.
More likely the Ukranian men pay to surrender and be taken to Russia, if you get my drift.
How many drafted Ukrainians are selected from areas that are of Russian heritage?
One has to wonder how many “dead”Ukrainians are just AWOL. It’s not like the Russians would want to send them back to the front lines

I always like to remind people that while (at the time) Petraeus seemed to enjoy a lot of public support as CENTCOM Commander, the Army hated him. So did the CIA, they just had the means to do something about him. He’s been a political weasel for a long time.
I have yet to see an article where Russia states the number of their KIA. Every time it seems to come from the mouths of the Ukrainians. Inflated…yes. Bullcrap…yes.

They must lie about Russian casualties or it becomes apparent that by comparison Ukrainians are being sold by Zelensky for Cannon Fodder.

The West trots out some ‘authority’ every day to give an interview about ‘Ukraine is winning’, ‘RF, VVP is losing, and similar propaganda in the ‘Snake Island/Ghost of Kiev/Bucha/Kromatorsk et al’ cheers. NordStream? Azov prisoners incinerated? Explosive drones? All the work of the RF. “It is all about democracy!” for a guy who has suspended elections. They bring out a Petraeus or a Fukiyama to keep the sheeple from getting wide.
When you compare these imaginary numbers to the total military losses by the Russians during the whole of WW2, the facade wears thin indeed.

I grew up believing what our media and IC propaganda machine told me: Soviets were superhuman, 12 feet tall, and invincible. Evil too. For reasons of serendipity, I started going to Russia first in 1989 when it was still the Soviet Union. Like a moth to a flame, I suppose. I learned the language and eventually spent a total of six years there, on behalf of the DoD. I discovered that the Russians were far different than the propaganda that we consumed in the 1970s and 1980s. They were far more like us Americans than I ever imagined. Different in important ways but more similar than different. And really different than the Western Europeans with whom I lived for several years. The average Russian just wants to live their life undisturbed, spend time with their family, go to the dacha, and tend to their summer gardens. No giant designs on the world as their Soviet leaders had. Just live a simple life. I thus concluded a looooong time ago that nearly everything coming out of the intelligence agencies, and by extension the media here in the west, has always been and will always be propaganda designed to keep us in fear of others and the leaders that profit from this fear in power.
