The Trump administration is preparing the revival of wartime ‘prize courts’ to fast-track the seizure and sale of captured Iranian oil and maritime cargo, media reports say.
These courts, dormant since the Second World War, would allow the U.S. to legally confiscate dozens of Iranian oil tankers currently transiting international waters. “The Justice Department is preparing to activate a long-dormant maritime war court to streamline military capture of Iranian oil tankers as US prizes,” Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing sources.
The mechanism will accelerate the liquidation of seized Iranian assets by shielding the U.S. from third-party claims, the article suggests. “The unfinalized plans, if adopted, would offer a faster path for federal prosecutors to claim oil and other cargo taken from enemy or neutral vessels as US property,” the news outlet added. “The seized goods would then be sold with proceeds transferred to the treasury.”

Aren’t we watching Kharg Island and all of the other Iranian coastal oil terminals?
How are tankers accessing these terminals and then departing to open sea locations where they can transfer oil to other tankers?
I understand that Iran has a “shadow fleet” of tankers for the express purpose of smuggling oil to buyers, but that should not be able to operate if tankers cannot access Iran’s oil terminals to bring the oil out to the shadow fleet for transfer and distribution.
Does anyone know how this works?
I’m still scratching my head why this Iran thing even started when we destroyed Iran’s nuclear material last summer? 🙄

I went to Dermatologist yesterday and he wants me to go on Skyrizi for my Psoriasis. I asked the Pharmacist how much that would cost without insurance…$29,000.00 a month! The doctor did say he thought insurance would not cover the cost. I wasn’t planning on taking the shots because of all the side effects but that price sealed the deal!

Bar codes on the envelopes are not needed. That’s a sly tactic. Name and address is all that is required.
Bar code or QR code on the ballot itself is needed for verification.
Barcodes on the envelopes track the actual movement of the ballots. Seems like blockchaining the actual ballot movement would be a good thing for security, wouldn’t it?
That would be true but I thought the post office directive was just to verify the name and address of the person as a registered voter?
If you read the Rule it includes barcodes…. all mail has a barcode, btw. They will connect to a valid voter from voter lists, DHS lists (for citizenship) and be tracked from the elections office and back.

I make a piece of mail, I ask for the postage stamp(s) I purchase & affix to be ‘hand cancelled’ … it goes to the addressed destination *without a barcode*; UNLESS I simply omit postage stamps and pay the fee for mailing and let them *machine the stamp* – which does include a barcode.

This is why I can’t take to Newsmax. They have many stories copied word for word from the AP and Reuters, almost all of which are not favorable to President Trump or the administration. If they want to be a truly conservative site, they need to get away from these articles and start employing more Newsmax writers and journalists.

As if they were all in a covid-nurses line dance together, late yesterday the blue states and NGOs filed their new lawsuits, and Judge Talwani set an expedited hearing where she can issue new injunctions for next Thursday, September 3rd— one day before the USPS database deadline.
The states filed a new case, and the League amended its existing case. Oddly, even though cases are supposed to be randomly assigned “by lot,” the states’ new lawsuit, California et al v. USPS, was coincidentally assigned to Judge Indira Talwani. Shocking.
The game is still afoot. At this point, it is a game of chicken. The Democrats face a new obstacle: a tradition called the Purcell doctrine, where courts will refuse to change election rules too close to voting day. The Administration faces arguments that the USPS rule itself is a change too close to November 3rd.
Expect furious litigation and more Supreme Court involvement. And more ‘help’ from Judge Talwani.
