Murkowski is advocating an “Independent Bureaucracy”. In doing so she exposes herself as a treasonist Democrat who has infiltered the Republican Party.
What is an “independent agency”, within the Executive Branch”? Article II vests ALL power in the Executive Branch to the Executive. Therefore, agencies in the Executive Branch cannot Constitutionally be “independent”. Congress has not the power to make executive agencies independent, even with the executive’s consent. The Constitution trumps their wishes.
Blanche cannot, “check the worst impulses of this administration” as she requires for her approval. When federal employees are hired they swear an oath to the Constitution. After, or perhaps before, they do that, they should be required to read Article II of the Constitution. Article II says that all power, ALL power, in the executive branch is vested in the president. This needs to be made clear to them, and to Murkowski.
As federal employees, they don’t work for “the people”, or Sen. Murkowski, they work for the president. We elected HIM, not them. If they can’t do that they should resign, or, they should be fired.
We have been operating under an unconstitutional structure for a very long time, because those that swore an oath to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States” have ignored that obligation and sought to circumvent the Constitution instead. The result is that the government and particularly the media have accepted the circumvention as the Constitutionally prescribed way of government.

Alaska has a huge military presence too. Some really strategic bases for all the services. The costs of building and maintaining those bases is higher than most places in the CONUS.
The Senate has become like a House of Lords. With a consistent reelection rate of 80% for incumbents, most don’t give a damn what we say or think about them. They are even immune to ridicule.

This is a win-win scenario for the Demmunista.
