According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) four Americans were wounded, two killed and one missing following a ballistic missile and drone attack upon Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan last night.
TAMPA, Fla. — On July 17, two U.S. service members in Jordan were killed in action as U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and partner forces defended against Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks. Additionally, one service member is currently missing.
Four American service members were medically evacuated to Jordanian hospitals. They have since been discharged. Other personnel who were evaluated for minor injuries have returned to duty.
Out of respect for the families, CENTCOM will withhold additional information, including the identities of the fallen warriors, until 24 hours after the next of kin have been notified. {Source}

The war has fundamentally challenged long-held assumptions about U.S. military dominance. Despite achieving individual tactical victories, the conflict has sharply undercut key principles of U.S. military strategy.
The most alarming revelation is the viability of U.S. forward bases, which have proven to be massive liabilities rather than sources of strength.
Yup, I agree….
I don’t.
End
I do agree with Mre.Sunshine.
Any forward base can be a liability, yet can be beyond strength too.
Jordan is deep behind many forward positions. Iran found a weakness.
God bless the military out front in particular. God cover the families of those fallen.
May the USA also watch our six.
I wish we would just Declare Victory and come home.
That train has sailed, Baby!
What nation state is helping Iran with targeting information? Don’t think Iran has active satellites
I would offer that the most alarming revelation is that somebody is feeding the IRGC with intelligence of sufficient detail to support targeting.
Russia and China are obvious choices but why does my mind drift to MI6 or other European entity. Too much Prometheus Action 😎
China has been doing just that.
I shall see if I can find the link.
Link, goes back to late May
https://www.hudson.org/national-security-defense/war-above-war-how-chinese-satellites-support-iran-mena-defense-can-kasapoglu
You can find anything you need on Google Maps and Satellite. There’s no need for China and Russia to give anything to Iran.
China provides coordinates, not just Google maps.
Recall the concept NATO providing Ukraine satellite targeting… think about it.
Read. Learn. Educate.
Google Maps has coordinates.
Lol, seriously.
You miss the concept.
Is that on purpose?
There is a big difference between what is publicly available and the necessary for targeting. I have just a bit of experience on that. Not going to elaborate
Iran has had decades to have it’s intelligence agents and their Jordanian paid informants walk the bases, inside and out, mapping coordinates for everything just like the VC did 60 years ago.
Not true! Iran is using CCP global positioning to accurately target our locations. We can’t currently jam the Chinks so we have a problem.
I would ask you to back that up but it would be a senseless argument knowing factually that you are wrong.
It’s no secret where military bases are located.
Leave that Russia bullshit alone.
China is behind much if not all operations of Iran and has benefited from the billions Osama handed Iran.
China Kills over 100.000 Americans yearly with fentanyl Russia doesn’t.
Just like a drone being flown from the U.S. when the drone is half way around the world China is operating drones from China in Iran and everywhere they have sold them.
YEP! 🙂
CIA!
That crossed my mind but I refuse to go there mentally. My vet background won’t let me really consider that. It would be so egregious it would get me in the streets with some “fishing supplies”
Ukraine is able to take out Russian oil / refinery facilities with drones and missiles. USA is said to supply the satellite guidance for the munition projectiles. Can Russia then supply Iran with knowledge of USA locations and specific military hardware?
I would tend to suspect Five eyes euroweenies passing what is shared by the US to their puppet cosplaying the head of Ukraine.
I agree, but don’t rule out our own deep state to want to sabotage our troops to further their anti-Trump agenda.
You can find many of these BOB’S on Google maps. Not only that, but these BOB’S have been in place for decades sometimes.
Anybody with GPS, an ipad, iPhone, android, Magellan etc. can get lat/long coordinates. These bases are not a secret.
And which other intelligence agencies are linked to MI-6?
Most of Europe
Why does my mind drift to traitors in our own country?
Shades of Ukraine (Intelligence).
China most definitely.
Russia maybe but not with Putin’s authorization.
Where did you copy this from?
AI
What?!
Maybe in your eyes our American setup is a massive liability, but hardly in those of our Military Leaders, I would assume. My working hypothesis is that these military leaders are very much aware of the viability [vulnerabilities?] of US forward bases. Such factors — both the liabilities and advantages — are taken into account. In general, is that not a big part of “war gaming”?
Please, in the grand scheme of our US Military efforts, what solid evidence do you have that ON BALANCE these forward bases are a massive liability rather than a source of strength?
It takes two to tango … meaning in modern warfare — in this case in particular — that neither side can predict accurately, let alone know, the FULL strategies of their opponents, with the further understanding that in today’s variant of conflict most likely no one is going to get away, to any degree, unscathed.
Such notions of advantages and disadvantages — of known, unknowns, etc — for this conflict and many others, as best as I remember, have been discussed by the media and the public ad nauseum … but have any of them concluded, as you have, that our American Military strategic setup, on balance, has been PROVEN to be a massive liability.
If you please … please explain your rationale. TIA.
$40T in debt.
??
“Please, in the grand scheme of our US Military efforts, what solid evidence do you have that ON BALANCE these forward bases are a massive liability”
Liability can mean different things, but if we define it as being potentially costly, financially risky and that we taxpayers could be held accountable for whatever happens, then yes on balance this military adventurism is a massive liability. The cost to benefit just does not compute.
She mentioned bases in particular. By many estimates we have completely or partially lost between 15 and 20 military bases in roughly 8 countries since this thing has started with a direct cost of 5 billion and operational costs around 29 billion … so far. I could list all the US stuff that has been destroyed if you want, but that would be tedious.
The indirect costs to the us economy are estimated (depending on source) anywhere from 100 to 200 billion dollars. You and I are paying the costs. And … what have we got for all this costly effort? …
Sunshine is right. This is a massive liability. Ball is in your court.
Are you holding the totally unrealistic opinion that our forward deployed forces should somehow be invulnerable?
Do you really think our forward bases are “massive” liabilities? Where did you go to War College? Mr. Rogers School?
In what magic world is a casualty comparison of a handful on our side and tens of thousands in the other side not a reflection of military dominance?
Are you so indoctrinated into believing that we should be casualties free in a shooting war?
It’s posts like this that keep the IRGC hopeful……
💯
It seems pretty clear all the effort spent on building up Bahrain was wasted. We were told the Iranian military was destroyed, but obviously not destroyed enough to protect the base. This week USCG announced they are done with Bahrain and moving their assets (have been there 20 years) to Guam.
Back when I was active, 5th fleet was run from the command ship USS LaSalle (AGF-3) and the naval air war from the theater aircraft carrier CSG. During Desert Storm, the USAF insisted on a massive in theater command and control base for the air war. Shipboard communications did not have the bandwidth to support that from afloat so the USN footprint ashore has gotten bigger and bigger. We now know that the USAF system just doesn’t work. Same thing will happen n the first island chain if we ever go to war with China.
It has nothing to do with “indoctrination”.
A world has changed in military capability since Desert Storm especially in C&C and interconnectivity of all assets in theater . You may be right and I am not even going to speculate beyond mentioning great strides have been made.
USCG moving to western pacific is a strategic realignment of that expeditionary squadron. It is not related to the Bahrain port.
The USCG has already shifted their Bahrain fleet to the Southeast Asia region and split it between Singapore and Subic Bay.
And there goes the hijack.
With a dose of throw shade on President Trump and his Commander In Chief decisions.
Slick.
Yep.
Kitty, the jury is still out, but dang’d if Ms. Sunshine doesn’t suck to oxygen out of the room EVERYTIME he/she/it posts on the top of one of Sundance’s entries. I’ve never seen anything like it! 🙁
These things can happen, no matter how Dominant our military is. This undercuts nothing and changes nothing.
Period.
I pray for the fallen.
It undercuts our entire strategic position in the ME. As it is we can’t base any air tankers outside Israel now.
Ai ?
It is a war, after all.
God bless and protect our troops, but we are not supernaturally exempt from getting struck once in a while.
The fact that this just happened during MONTHS of fighting illustrates how rare it is.
Iran has fired thousands and thousands of missiles directly at US forces and at their neighbors. We, sadly, have some wounded and single digit casualties at The Big Mrs. has to smear POTUS and our brave military.
WTF do you know. In a war you have losses. These losses are puny versus what the other side is taking.
Sorry, but bad choice of words. I’m sure their family don’t consider their loss as puny.
Ask Capt. Seth Keshel. He wrote about a particular base extremely vulnerable.
What long-held assumptions are being challenged? Is it the one where a defeated enemy put into a corner will start firing off missiles in any direction?!
Why are forward bases a massive liability? They have not be majorly damaged nor have large numbers of service members been wounded/killed. This attack is so noteworthy because some military members where hurt/killed (prayers to those members).
Go watch some more main stream media and tell us more about how Iran is winning this conflict.
The problem is the pentagon and down chain is that it’s filled with Gen Miley types who gladly muck up things and communicate with the enemy especially Chinawho is running the Iranian operation from China.
We are our own worst enemy, Sanjac…. sad, but TRUE!!! 🙁
I would think by now most of the little Milley drones have been purged. But that has a bit “what I have read” mixed with a dab of hopium
A concern shill? On the conservative treehouse?
I spent 15 years in the military, and from 2004-2010 it felt like I was stationed in Iraq and TDY to CONUS.
COUNTERPOINT:
Have you looked at military strategy since 2001?
‘Use restrictive ROE to prevent victory while sending trillions of dollars to fraudsters’
‘Promote Generals who never win anything, and refuse to fight for victory’
are those key principles of military strategy you meant?
And its not exactly a revelation that huge static targets can be vulnerable to stand off weapons…
I did Ballad AB and Kirkuk AB (AKA LSA Anaconda and FOB Warrior) so I know all about Iranian rockets.
We were told ‘we have to fight them over here, so we don’t have to fight them back home’…then we imported them to the USA.
And you want to talk about ‘unviable forward bases?’
Try a COP in the size of a city block, your armored vehicles parked in a circle, with hasty DFPs under the vehicles.
You learn what Custer felt like.
I voted for no more wars, but I’m all for finishing off IRAN’s threat now, cause it’s only getting more powerful.
And they have been killing Americans for too long.
For others out there…just remember,
IF THEY WERE WINNING, THIS PROPAGANDA WOULD NOT BE NECESSARY
Often wonder if “Mrs” Sunshine is a “Mr”. (There are a few others too). This is War. Waged on a Rogue State in response to 40+ years of threats to use nuclear. There will be casualties. Brace yourself.
BTW never mentioned is:
Donald Trump attended the New York Military Academy (NYMA) in Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York. His father sent him there at age 13 in 1959 to instill discipline and correct his rebellious behavior. Trump spent five years at the boarding school, graduating in 1964.
The academy operated with a strict, West Point-inspired structure. Cadets wore uniforms, lived in barracks, and followed a disciplined daily routine. During his time at NYMA, Trump excelled in domestic hygiene inspections, played varsity sports (including baseball, soccer, and football), and eventually rose to the rank of cadet captain in his senior year.
Trump has often credited the school’s competitive environment with shaping his leadership style and channeling his early energy into more productive pursuits.
“Often wonder if…” – Mimi
There are some of us just normal treepers who observe other posters who may or may not be what they seem. You Mimi, seem very authentic.
Time works wonders…….
Not pointing at any one poster but some phrases and mannerisms sound like either state dept or IC bureaucrats.
her real name is Ashley Webb
Respectfully, President Trump’s strategy is not to run a “boots on the ground” forever war, but a starve them out strategy. It seems to me that the president is doing very well and doesn’t need to risk mass casualties when he can bleed his opponents dry from afar. It is with great difficulty that Iran has taken the lives of a few American service members. I support what the president is doing. It costs us very little and dries up Iran’s money spigot for terror. Iran is looking more and more boxed in.
You wanna see some of the COP/FOB locations they (USACE) built in AFG. Sitting at the bottom of a bowl, totally surrounded by high ground….
And then shock that we were getting hit every other day.
Wasn’t there a movie made about that
Nope
Because two American soldiers were killed in action?
We lose many more of these due to accidents every day on military bases at home and throughout the world.
Praying for those who gave there life who are wounded and who are missing Praying for there family’s
amen
Amen to that. Unfortunately in war young men die.
Unfortunately. If only bankers were the only casulties.
Amen. Thank you RedDog.
Some gave all.
Praying they find the missing.
When our US military takes casualties and/or KIA; most of us experience sorrow. God bless them and theirs…bill
Peace Deal? Only from B-2’s, B-52’s, and B-1’s, plus various other armaments of my choosing. Time to wipe out the regime and the terrorist groups they support.
Double hammer time!!
Duck!!!!
We are way past the “Double Hammer Time!” This circus has dragged on way too long. Either we are going inflict serious pain on Iran or we’re going to lose. So far we have gone the serious pain route!
Why haven’t we done this already? Surely we know where these missiles and drones are coming from. President Trump, put an end to this threat and menace once and for all.
Time to turn out the lights!
These actions will require a very heavy & painful response on Iranian infrastructure. This may be the prelude to “Bridge & Powerplant Day”?
~May our fallen Rest in Heavenly Peace~
We are at a crossroads.
What if the hook in the jaw one can find in scripture has more to do with Persia’s northern allies coming to their aid than oil or gas in Israel?
They killed Americans !!!
Destroy all Kharg Island oil facilities at noon, Iran time, tomorrow.
Iran will be out of the oil business
Destroy all Iranian Power Generating Plants at noon, Iran time, 24 hours later.
Iran will go back to the dark ages
Destroy all Iranian Water Desalination Plants at noon, Iran time, 24 hours after that.
90 million people in Iran will go thirsty
Then do nothing more.
Sit back, and watch.
With no money or income, no electricity or water, Iran will become uninhabitable.
The people will try to leave, but the surrounding countries will not accept them.
After a week or so, the Saudi’s , Pakistani’s, Afghan’s, Iraqi’s, along with the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, and the others will send in troops, and take the land, assets, and people that they want.
Iran will be sliced up, and cease to exist as a country.
Sounds good to me.
Here we go; Gulf of Tonkin repeat…
Don’t know how you can possibly draw that parallel but everyone can have an opinion
Correct. All those forward-deployed bases are tripwires.
Whatever you are smoking, it’s got to be illegal 😎
Iran has hit US positions off and on throughout this war. This attack isn’t anything new or unique, but should serve as a wake up to anyone who thinks Iran’s offensive capability has been destroyed. It seems pretty clear Iran can launch a fairly devastating counter attack on our mid-east allies if needed.
Whatever we do in Iran, no boots on the ground in that ugly desert ever. I pray. Bombs away until they quit even if China is helping them.
I think that our military commanders and strategists realize that Iran doesn’t use ground troops to project power. It uses only air and sea. If these capabilities can be decisively “degraded,” that’s going to have a powerful positive effect. Then, if their abilities to ship oil are decisively put out of action, even for a short time, their oil wells are going to start producing water.
It would be difficult, I think, to plan and execute a ground campaign. Especially when your opponent is using missiles. Therefore, I still anticipate that this is not in the cards . . .
Time to put on the big boy pants with Iran. Enough pussy-footin around.
On one hand, agreed. Flatten the place.
On the other, the spike in gas prices and “affordability” soundbites can easily give the Midterms to the Democrats.
And if that happens Trump gets impeached, the rest of his agenda will be blocked, and America will never be the same again. This is a very precarious situation. Maybe the release of vote cheating proof will have some positive effect but since half the Country doesn’t know about it because the MSM won’t discuss it or they’ll never believe it anyway, that remains to be seen.
I think it is very significant – and, very dumb – that the Iranians are responding to US actions by striking against their ancient neighbors. These countries have thousands of years of experience in war around these parts. (Check out the “middle eight” of your Old Testament …) Iran is accumulating very powerful enemies.
Too bad they won’t join it and do something meaningful.
So the prehistoric assbackwards terrorist flew drones and a missile all the way across Iraq to a base in Jordon ?
BS
China has been operating the war operations in Iran and in their name.
Iran is attacking all the Muslim countries around them.
Q: Which country isn’t Iran attacking?
A: Israel
They know Israel will flatten them if they do.
Or Israel has cut a deal with them.
“Or Israel has cut a deal with them.”
I heard Alex Jones say the same thing so it must be true.
Tell us, please, what such a deal entails.
You can’t be THAT ignorant
Yep. They won’t hesitate one second.
When do the Gulf States join in the destruction of Iranian capabilities?
never ever..
Time to take the gloves off. No one has dropped a nuke since Harry Truman in 1945 but that might be the only thing those crazed mullahs understand.
I’m just wondering. Will those 72 virgins be enough to go around for all of those crazy ass mullahs to share? Asking for a friend.
And who says they aren’t Nuns with sharp rulers ?
😉
I always think of them as the meanest, ugliest, man hating wretches ever, who couldn’t entice the horniest man. 72 of them, forever.
Think of the consequences of that.
I don’t give AF. It’s time to teach these assh*les a lesson. Curtis LeMay was right.
Drop a nuke, really? You want to open that door? The US was able to utilize a nuclear weapon in 1945 because NO ONE ELSE had that capability and like retaliation was zero. That scenario is long gone. We go down that path and that gives the green light to others to do likewise. I suspect NO ONE on this site has experienced a nuclear weapon being deployed on their homeland. I went to school with an individual who at the age of 9 experienced that scenario while living in Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. He wouldn’t talk much about the event but said just enough. ANYONE who casually suggests deploying such a weapon is either wholly ignorant or insane……
People don’t seem to realize that if the US did such a thing in the ME they would instantly become a pariah. Any nuclear bomb dropped has consequences for that region. The fallout would travel wherever the wind blows it.
See my reply above.
Just read that Trump has ordered CENTCOM to “open the gates of hell” on Iran.
About time.
Let’r rip!
Over at AFTV, Lookner is saying that none of his ‘reliable’ resources are saying this…Lookner sometimes is behind the times and, and…he is, reportedly, a lib.
Just sharing what I heard…don’t shoot the messenger…LOL.
PDJT has been very quiet.
“Unable to show content” error message.
Any way you can post your post instead of just the link? Not everyone has or wants an X account.
I can feel those jet engines getting fired up! With great bombs loaded, targets plugged in, pilots ready…
It’s time to send a very real and deadly message to Iran’s true believers. The kind they can see all over their country as the lights go out, the fresh water stops flowing, the bridges disappear as their leaders run for their lives.
No more Mr. Nice Guy. Nope…not even a close shave for these bearded haters!
Serious question: How does Iran keep bombing and killing our soldiers if there entire military is destroyed?
President Trump posted this on Truth Social Jun 19, 2026 at 7:33 AM
The War has diminished Iran! It doesn’t, any longer, have an Air Force, a Navy, Antiaircraft Equipment, Radar, or practically anything else, and yet the Dumocrats say that Iran is better off now than it was four months ago. Can you imagine getting away with that??? How stupid can some people be??? President DJT
Serious answer.
They still have capabilities.
They still have missiles of various varieties to deploy. It is difficult to find and destroy all of them. We also need to eliminate their targeting systems.
I’ve had the same question. Time & time again we hear that Iran is basically defeated. If they’re defeated, how are they bombing our bases? Joey Jones said on FoxNews that is hard to take out the ballistic missile staging places with bombs dropped by us.
Our military loses more men in training accidents than in this war! Wake the f..k up!
Wars historically took years to decades and killed millions!
Iran is FINALLY getting what it so richly deserves.
Agree there is a credibility gap. We’ve gone from “unconditional surrender” and “regime change” to “return the Strait of Hormuz to how it was before the war”.
Um, we were told North Vietnam didn’t have much of anything left after we dropped historic amounts of ordinance on that country, yet……….history doesn’t always repeat itself but oftentimes rhymes.
Remember when they didn’t want to negotiate our withdrawal, and Nixon sent B-52s to Hanoi and suddenly they saw the light?
Biggest problem with Viet Nam was an unwillingness to turn the military loose. There was no stated mission to accomplish.
Continued PRAYERS and GODSPEED to ALL of our Patriots in Harm’s Way!!! 🙁
Off of Fox
State Department issues worldwide caution amid escalating Middle East tensions
I would have a serious discussion with XI. Tell your friends in iran to cut the crap out or trade between our countries gets completely shut down and I might consider using a tactical nuke on tehran. That will get XI’s attention post haste and you bet he will contact the irgc to end it or we, the chicoms, will get involved and not on your side.
How did this happen? Whatever Iran put into the air had to travel through hundreds of miles of Iraqi airspace.
Im not saying US service members wont be targeted by Iran and life will be lost, but this one is a bit perplexing to me.
The Iran Regime is like a Vampire.
It keeps coming back.
Iran stupidly went all-in on vengeance weapons. These have no real strategic value unless their neighbors panic over a few pin pricks. As long as we don’t end up like Russia, being pinned down in an extended ground drone war, then the president’s strategy of starving the beast will work. Take away their sources of cash and wait them out.
I prefer the term virus. 🤓
How does one spell Quagmire ?
D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T —–P-R-E-S-I-D-E-N-T
We’re a LONG way from that. Check the history of the duration of previous conflicts.
Bibi Netanyahu’s visit to Washington DC a week before February 28th!
The time is now, it
must be done , no more pussyfooting !!!
The question of whether the conflict involving Iran constitutes a “quagmire” is a subject of intense debate between US officials, military analysts, and international observers as of July 2026. While the Trump administration and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth vehemently deny the label, citing operational successes, many analysts argue that the US has entered a strategic deadlock reminiscent of Vietnam or Afghanistan due to the lack of a clear exit strategy and Iran’s ability to leverage the Strait of Hormuz.
The core of the “quagmire” argument lies in the mismatch between US military objectives and political realities. The US aimed for a swift victory to restore leverage, but instead revealed the limits of air power against a resilient regional power. Iran has absorbed significant damage to its infrastructure yet continues to function, fire missiles, and threaten global energy supplies. Experts argue that the US fear of another “forever war” involving ground troops has paradoxically trapped Washington in a prolonged air and naval campaign that drains resources without achieving a decisive end state.
Despite the lack of ground troops, the political dynamics mirror past quagmires: a domestic appetite for conflict that is low, an adversary that views the struggle as existential, and a lack of a clear “off-ramp” for the initiating power. Some analysts argue this is a “new kind of forever war,” characterized by indefinite periodic bombing and naval skirmishes rather than occupation. The resilience of Iran’s political institutions, even after the targeted killing of senior leaders, further reinforces the view that the regime can endure a prolonged conflict longer than the US public might tolerate.
This is after how many years in Iran? Asking for an observant friend.
Unleash the Dogs of War
“Cry ‘Havoc!’, and let slip the dogs of war” is spoken by Mark Antony in Act 3, Scene 1 of Shakespeare’s play Julius Caesar, symbolizing the unleashing of chaos and violence following Caesar’s assassination
Desperately trying to get my FIL out of Iran in the next few days. The only way is a two-day bus ride to Istanbul. The citizens want the regime dead. Not sure if we’ll see this happen without completely destroying their infrastructure.
Prayers up for your FIL and all of the innocents who live there.
How does the US get out of this war? The 2-to 4-week war didn’t work.
Iran will not surrender because of their fanatical religious beliefs. For 47 years the U.S. has put up with these fanatics that are responsible for many U.S. military lives and even civilian lives. You either destroy Iran completely or you continue giving up American lives. You cannot negotiate with evil. They don’t care about money, they are not interested in Iran becoming a ‘hot bed’ for vacationers, their whole lives are built on killing Americans and Israelis.
Trump has had the intestinal fortitude to do what should have been done after 9/11. History tells us that evil continues until they are completely destroyed. This isn’t a real estate deal – this is life and death! Not just for today but the future!
“…their whole lives are built on killing Americans and Israelis.”
You’ve touched a very important point which everyone ignores. Iranians are not Arabs or Palestinian Semites. They are Persians and basically have no history with Israel. No wars. No oppression. No lost land. Nothing! Iran doesn’t even border Israel. So, where does the hatred come from when other ME Countries have long settled their grievances with Israel. Why would Persians risk blood and treasure for Gaza when the rest of the Arab World wants no part of them? 🤔
47 years ago an effeminate US president put them in power
Time for the mullahs and the IRGC to…not be. I’m tired of their bovine excrement.
This war is highly unpopular. YouGov: “A majority (57%) of Americans say going to war in Iran was the wrong decision, while only 27% say it was the right decision.”
Independents think it is a debacle, and their disapproval is lopsided. YouGov: “… and very few independents do so (13% vs. 85%).” Even if you think that these pollsters shade their results, the margin still is overwhelmingly awful.
This is headed for a disaster in November. The Iraq regime still will be in power and the region still will be on fire. I’m afraid that POTUS is taking this too personally as an insult and cannot cut his losses. (Same goes for our participation in NATO against Russia in Ukraine.)
Well that’s YouGov
Deny if you wish. But this war is unpopular. I hope that you realize that before November.
War is never popular. Sometimes it is necessary. Good leaders figure that out, poor ones don’t.
There’s a lot of old-fashioned common sense saying that the Iran Adventure was deliberate sabotage by people close to President Trump to derail his popularity and severely wound Republicans in the 2026 and 2028 elections. Your research certainly points in that direction.
I think that the answer is less complex. POTUS has stated for decades that something had to be done about Iran’s regional aspirations and terror attacks that enabled them.
Thus I believe that Israel persuaded him to act, and that domestically the AIPAC types within his circle did so too. The public was to be sold using the claim that nukes would be raining upon the USA in short order if he didn’t act pronto. It was BS on the order of WMDs in Iraq (also Mossad baloney) but that has been the rationale nevertheless.
And here we are …
Yes, I agree that your assessment is unfortunately correct! 😕
Trump has held back. He has given Iran every opportunity to surrender unconditionally, or face annihilation.
The deaths of our service members should force his hand. They have chosen door number two…
“Annihilation” is easy to state, but how would that come about in practical terms. IMO, anyone expecting carpet bombing cities or putting boots on the ground en masse is not being reasonable. Those expecting nuking Iran are worse. It would get POTUS impeached and removed from office by a large margin in both Houses.
My heart breaks for their families…may the peace of Christ heal their hearts and grant them solace….
2 less MAGA votes in November. RIP
God bless them, rest their souls & comfort their loved ones.
In Jesus name, Amen.
Let us see how no air defense holds up against fully loaded B52s and B1s.
