As I watched this remarkable speech, I realized what Birbalsingh describes is what does not exist in Russia. When you talk to a person in Russia about DEI, victim mindset or the various equities of personage emphasized in the modern, cultural ‘west’; a Russian person has absolutely no reference point to engage in the conversation.

Maybe. Found you don’t actually see the results of your parenting until your kids have kids. We had 3 and were married 48yrs. We have a police captain, a corporate interior designer & a director level healthcare executive. Our three are all married to their original partners. Their kids all appear to be well adjusted with stable home lives.
True. Mine, in their early thirties are doing well. Will say that we’re filling the young grandsons with “toxic masculinity”.

Funny thing, my daughter’s friends are all married, having kids. Lots of sleepovers at our house…
I also have no reference point for discussion. The millennial generation actively seeks street cred via various grievances or disabilities— real or imagined. Rather than giving credit for overcoming obstacles they get credit for every excuse to fail to overcome. I cannot begin to comprehend this mentality.

The larger problem in The West is gov’t are the policies of replacement migration, anarcho-tyranny and Cultural Marxism.
Gov’t leadership in the West betraying their citizens at every opportunity they can get.
Put priority on fixing those treasonous acts while working on the critical race theory in schools and MSM. You can fix the things she’s talking about but it won’t matter until you fix the big problems first.

I’m so glad you posted this, Sundance. It truly is a remarkable speech and needs to be taken to heart in all Western nations.
The biggest issue is boomers and gen x parents had generational failings where they said, “I don’t talk about religion and politics with my kids, they have to make those decisions on their own.”
Which was obviously retarded to do because religion and politics touch every aspect of your life. Guiding them on those paths are more important than any other thing, and yet these two generations largely failed.
Well, religion and politics do touch every aspect of life. However, there is no issue with “boomers” and “gen x parents”, it is an issue with some aged 60+, some aged 40+. There are no Generational Failings, only some-many individual failings thru all age groups.
I would focus on the public school systems. They really started to change in the 80’s and 90’s.

Started in the 60s when Johnson introduced a social policy..the “Great Society”…which made it more financially advantageous for women to be unmarried with children, no matter how many biological fathers there were.
Add in that it became economically necessary for two parent incomes, therefore offloading the care and education of children to strangers, removing a mother’s influence from the rearing of her children.
Remove God and patriotism from the institutions which became the caretakers for the children who came under their influence.
A toxic combination which has only gotten worse as the decades have rolled on.
There are so many interconnected parts of the Socialist construct which has brought us to this point.

Many of us, too many, have been first lamenting then screaming about that subject since 1970!
Our full time granddaughter was raised the way we were raised.
Our Gang comedies, Nancy Drew, etc. She has had a e-reader since 8 years young. She does have of late a cell phone that is locked down and we look at it often.
Here is the problem.
Have we done her any good?
How will she cope in today’s world?
All we can do, mycroft, is the best we know how. And do it with love, with God as our Helpmeet.
Knowing you as I do as a man whose moral centre is resolute and one who with your wife saw the need and committed to your granddaughter’s rearing, without hesitation, I will assure you that you have done her a power of good. Good which she may not have had otherwise.
How will she cope in today’s world?
A question I have for my own grandchildren , three of which are this close to being in it. And one which I will admit keeps me awake at night. One we can’t answer.
Into the hands of a loving Father I commit them.

The Educational part stated with Dewey and worsened with the creation of Dept. of Education then accelerated with introduction of Individual absolutism and peaked or bottomed out with DEI.
Do not allow government to educate your children or grandchildren. No excuses. Make the sacrifice.

I’d say that having spent her working life in the educational establishment puts he in an excellent position to comment. Given that her country is probably several years ahead of ours in the downward spiral, I’d give her extra points. And she’s not going to be welcome in most parts of her chosen profession.
I put that ahead of her personal decisions about marriage and child-bearing.

To go a step further Sundance, the Russian culture has little proverbs of wisdom baked in to it that help to act an an immune system against manipulative people.
The Russians seem to be aware of these manipulative dynamics, probably due to the use of them during Lenin and Stalin control. In essence, Russia has already been through this culture war cycle and has come out the other side wise to the head games and language control. They now have that immune system to help protect against its return.
