The Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act was brought to the Senate as an amendment by Lindsey Graham as part of the $70 billion budget reconciliation package funding Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol.
The usual senate suspects, Thom Tillis, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins and Mitch McConnell voted with Democrats to kill the SAVE America Act amendment. 75% of Americans support the requirement for voter ID, the Senate doesn’t want that.
WASHINGTON – Four Senate Republicans broke ranks to kill another effort to pass President Donald Trump’s marquee voter ID and election integrity legislation as the GOP marches to fund immigration enforcement.
Just like last time, Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, and Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and Thom Tills, R-N.C., joined all Democrats to thwart the move.

The Save Act is more than likely ineligible for inclusion in the Reconciliation bill because of the Byrd Rule. Not worth wasting any emotion on this. McConnell and Tillis are done at the end of this term. Getting rid of Collins would be shooting ourselves in the foot. Murkowski was primaried successfully, but she ran as an independent and won anyway. Then they changed the election rules in Alaska that benefitted her. Better luck next time in 2028.
In 2026, Alaska is voting to change voting rules back to the traditional voter-take-all method. But, yes Alaska and the US are stuck with her until 2028.

Of course the most obviously crooked trash in the senate votes against the SAVE America Act. Now Trump can parade their filthy faces in front of the whole world and endorse other candidates to replace these turncoats.
Given enough time to “find” ballots, California may end up “(s)electing” a governor by the time that governor is term-limited out. The term “Election Day” has been made more of a mockery than women’s sports. The only way to solve this blatant cheating is to require that ALL ballots to be counted be RECEIVED by Election Day or before and all counting be completed within 24 hours of the polls closing in a public counting session.
