Both President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio have provided updates on the current status of negotiations with the Iranian regime.
President Trump delivered an update from his Truth Social Account:
PRESIDENT TRUMP – “Negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran are proceeding nicely! It will only be a Great Deal for all or, no Deal at all — Back to the Battlefront and shooting, but bigger and stronger than ever before — And nobody wants that!
During my discussions on Saturday with President Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, of The United Arab Emirates, Emir Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, and Minister Ali al-Thawadi, of Qatar, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Ahmed Shah, of Pakistan, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, of Türkiye, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, of Egypt, King Abdullah II, of Jordan, and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, of Bahrain, I stated that, after all the work done by the United States to try and pull this very complex puzzle together, it should be mandatory that all of these Countries, at a minimum, simultaneously, sign onto the Abraham Accords.
Those Countries discussed are Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates (already a Member!), Qatar, Pakistan, Türkiye, Egypt, Jordan, and Bahrain (already a Member!). It may be possible that one or two have a reason for not doing so, and that will be accepted, but most should be ready, willing, and able to make this Settlement with Iran a far more Historic Event than it would, otherwise, be.
The Abraham Accords have proven to be, for the Countries involved (The United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan, and Kazakhstan), a Financial, Economic, and Social BOOM, even during this time of Conflict and War, with the current Members never even suggesting leaving, or taking so much as even a pause.
The reason for this is that the Abraham Accords have been great for them, and will be even better for everybody, and bring true Power, Strength, and Peace to the Middle East for the first time in 5,000 years. It will be a Document respected like no other that has ever been signed, anywhere in the World. Its level of Importance and Prestige will be unparalleled! It should start with the immediate signing by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and everybody else should follow suit. If they don’t, they should not be part of this Deal in that it shows bad intention.”
“In speaking to numerous of the Great Leaders mentioned above, they would be honored, as soon as our Document is signed, to have the Islamic Republic of Iran as part of the Abraham Accords. Qatar has now offered to ‘loan’ Iran (the IRGC) $12 billion for ‘humanitarian aid’, which is the same amount of Iranian assets that the US has frozen. While I’m all in favor of negotiations, deals and agreements, etc, I do not believe that it will ever be possible to make any kind of satisfactory peace deal with the IRGC, primarily because they are not a united entity. There are too many factions that disagree with each other. And now the situation changes somewhat…..the IRGC brought in mercenaries from Iraq in particular, to join their forces against the Iranian civilians. Maybe I missed a few conversations along the way, but this is the first time in a long time that I’ve heard Trump speak of the Abraham Accords when discussing Iran. I see this as a positive sign.
It has long been said that when nations share borders, eventually one of two things will happen. Either; A) trade will cross those borders in both directions, or B) soldiers will. The Abraham Accords help form the durable pathway for trade to openly cross the borders of middle eastern nations. May those pathways remain firm, and never know the footprint of a soldier’s boot.

There is a lot of this malicious flagging going on, which I know you’re aware of. Last night I had one deleted. It said “Amen” and nothing else.
The same observation applies to the zerohedge site during the past 2-3 months. Its comments section has been overwhelmed by anti-Trump zealots who attack him in every conceivable and even preposterous way.
The articles remain worthwhile, but the commentary is largely toxic.

I was lucky to have come across an old paperback copy of Ben Hur in Mexico and when I had finished reading it, it had literally fallen apart. Of course the book is always better than the movie and there was a few plot points in the book that didn’t make it to the film. I am not sold on India as a strong ally. Israel and USA can hold their feet to the fire, but only diplomacy (and, in Iran, regime change) can bring Peace. Putting planes, bombs and missiles in the air, or boots on the ground, won’t do it.
Iran’s population shows no sign of rising up to overthrow the current regime. How is regime change to be accomplished without a ground invasion and subsequent occupation of the country?

I witnessed the US, and US Presidents shamed and mocked not only on the world stage, but by the Left in our own nation. Many “peace treaties” have been entered into believing (hoping) the other party would live up to what they’ve signed. Too often, they don’t and history can attest to that.
Iran has been a Muslim nation for roughly five hundred years, and the sect of Islam that they practice is decidedly different than their Sunni neighbors. The difference is in their eschatology which may just appear to be a religious difference, but it is far more than that. It tells you what they believe will usher in the 12th Imam, the Mahdi who will rule the world as a Shiite suffering no disparate beliefs, or tolerance, even for Sunni.
A tenet of Islam that is not only tolerated, but is encouraged, especially when dealing with infidels is taqiyya. You, we, have been witness to this time and again with Iran. They will tell you anything you want to hear to end the war, not because they’re loosing, or have lost, that does NOT matter to their eschatology!
I pray for you and your family daily that you and your staff will have Godly wisdom and act with that wisdom. It is unwise to enter into any agreement with those in Iran who are still arresting and killing civilians. Only if, and after the civilians, many Christians, have overthrown this evil government can true negotiations begin.
