Delivering two messages today from his Truth Social account, President Trump notes the Pakistani and Arab negotiating teams are close to terms of an agreement. However, President Trump emphasizes that any negotiated end to the conflict must include the complete elimination of Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
PRESIDENT TRUMP – “If I make a deal with Iran, it will be a good and proper one, not like the one made by Obama, which gave Iran massive amounts of CASH, and a clear and open path to a Nuclear Weapon. Our deal is the exact opposite, but nobody has seen it, or knows what it is. It isn’t even fully negotiated yet. So don’t listen to the losers, who are critical about something they know nothing about. Unlike those before me who should have solved this problem many years ago, I don’t make bad deals!” ~ President DJT
EARLIER – “One of the worst deals ever made by our Country was the Iran Nuclear Deal, put forth and signed into existence by Barack Hussein Obama and the rank amateurs of the Obama Administration. It was a direct path to Iran developing a Nuclear Weapon. Not so with the transaction currently being negotiated with Iran by the Trump Administration – THE EXACT OPPOSITE, in fact! The negotiations are proceeding in an orderly and constructive manner, and I have informed my representatives not to rush into a deal in that time is on our side. The Blockade will remain in full force and effect until an agreement is reached, certified, and signed. Both sides must take their time and get it right. There can be no mistakes! Our relationship with Iran is becoming a much more professional and productive one. They must understand, however, that they cannot develop or procure a Nuclear Weapon or Bomb. I would like to thank, thus far, all of the countries of the Middle East for their support and cooperation, which will be further enhanced and strengthened by their joining the Nations of the historic Abraham Accords and, who knows, perhaps the Islamic Republic of Iran would like to join, as well! Thank you for your attention to this matter. ~ President DONALD J. TRUMP
It is doubtful the finalized terms will be released today. However, Scott Jennings is reporting on some of the outlines of the agreement after he had discussions with a “senior Trump official” directly involved in the negotiations.
-USA IS NOT GIVING IRANIANS MONEY FOR NOTHING. All speculation and propaganda to the contrary is false. Some hardline elements of Iran’s govt (IRGC) have pushed fake stories & propaganda to try to kill this negotiation.
-Iran deal is NOT done (95%, but still haggling over some language). No deal being signed today. May be a few more days before this is done.
-Iran will NOT get any money or sanctions relief up front.
-Iran must turn over nuclear stockpile to get anything. USA position is that failure to meet deal commitments means Iran gets nothing.
-Long term USA objective is preventing Iran from having nuclear weapon.
-Initial deal point is to re-establish free flow of commerce by reopening Strait of Hormuz.
Deal should have 2 phases:
Step 1 – Open Strait of Hormuz. Give world economy breathing room. Iran agrees to give up enriched uranium.
Step 2 – Get the nuclear material turned over. Only then can Iran get sanctions relief.
Bottom line: goal is to make a deal that lowers costs for Americans, calms world energy markets, and guarantees that Iranians cannot have a nuclear weapon over the long term. We aren’t there yet. Iran takes forever to get you a response on even small things. But we are close although it still could be a few days.
“If we get what we are demanding, this is going to be a historic deal,” SAO says.
SAO sounds prepared to do no deal at all if all Iran will do is a “bad deal.” SAO admits deal could fall apart yet. But if a deal is reached, SAO expects very senior USA admin officials to take part in a signing ceremony of some sort.
Iran has agreed in principle to the framework but there are still a couple points USA isn’t satisfied with. 95% done. But literally changing words sometimes requires days in Iran’s system. Haggling over language. But USA feels like we have a commitment on nuclear stockpile and on opening Strait of Hormuz.
If IRAN doesn’t deliver on commitments, they get nothing.
“Iran’s ability to project power is a lot more limited than it was two months ago,” SAO says. “Their industrial base for building ballistic missiles has been substantially destroyed.” {source}
Multiple key republican senators like Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham are not happy with what they are hearing. Most of the Israel-First ‘influencers’ are also not happy. Mark Levin and Laura Loomer are particularly upset. However, as with all things that involve rumor and speculation, the best approach is to wait and see what the deal entails.
I trust President Trump to find the optimal solution.

This is what I voted for.
Me also.
Furthermore, if Graham, Cruz, and Mark Levin are not happy then I am ecstatic!
Why would anyone with a functional brain care what Ms Linda, Cruz or Levin drool. Those 3 would be much further ahead just shutting up and not prove how utterly pathetic they really are
Well, Ms. Linda IS making those googly-eyes at the President lately.
So there’s THAT.
🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️
I will not vote for Graham.
Interestingly, Mark Levin was beating the war drums over Iran months ago before the conflict started. I hope President Trump didn’t take any advice from those clowns.
Cruz is the next one on my list to eliminate in the Senate. He sent a flyer around endorsing cornyn and roy, both big time rino grifter, anti-President Trump. This Tuesday is our runoff election and I can not wait to vote for Ken Paxton and oust the cornyn “bushie”.
Grassroots America from Texas also endorsed Roy, so now I don’t trust their judgement.
Bandera County resident since we moved from The People’s Socialist Republic of San Antonio de Bexar back in 2017.
I voted against John Cornyn(R-Washington DC) in the primaries of 2020, 2014, and 2008. Looks like enough Texans have finally opened their eyes and Ken Paxton (R-Texas) will be one of our Senators.
Now if we could just get rid of Ted (Vote-You-Conscious) Cruz(R-Canada). And, No!, I will never forget what that Canadian said plus the myriad of Anti-MAGA, Anti-Trump things he has done against President Trump and me!
Ted Cruz is slithering his way around to position himself for another run at being POTUS. This time he has full backing of the Bush Family Dynasty. That right there is a non-starter for me. Also, Ted Cruz has shown more than once his tendency for lying, backstabbing, disloyalty, and ungratefulness, especially towards President Trump. That also is cause for him being a non-starter, in my opinion. We do not need any more individuals like Ted Cruz in politics much less as POTUS.
Ted Cruz will end up being just as bad as John McCain. Just give him time.
Lord help us then.
Ted Cruz (R-Canada) already is as bad as Songbird McCain. He absented himself on at least one vote that allowed Plugs Biden to get one of his judicial nominees approved.
And yes!, Ted (Vote-Your-Conscience) Cruz absolutely is a liar. In 2024 Teddy whined, cried, and begged for more money because he was going to lose his election to the Democrat. He knew good and well that he had always been more than 5 points ahead.
I would bet that after all of the campaign money he grifted he laughed so hard at the poor suckers who gave him money that he pulled a muscle.
His Senate seat comes up in two years. I will do everything I can to oust him. I hope we get a good candidate to primary him. I am so weary and sick of having to deal with the “shrubs” here in Texas politics. I believe though that people here in Texas are opening their eyes wide now and realizing how the bushies have ruined, and tried to ruin so many good, conservative, MAGA candidates. I pray daily their days of influence here in Texas politics is on a very down hill slide into hades..
If you are talking about Ted Cruz (R-Canada), we are stuck with that UniParty RINO of a Canadian Snake until 2030.
He lied like 10,000 dogs to raise excessive campaign funds in 2024 trying to scare us into believing that if he did not get enough money he was going to lose to the Democrat, when he knew all along that he was always at least 5 points ahead.
As unhappy as each of them claims to be, they *still get to be on teevee.*
Regardless of what happens, you can bet the farm that they will each
spend time on Fox, running their mouths; espousing self-importance.
My teevee always turns off –at about the same time.
(They don’t call it “television programming” for nothin’.)
Miss Lindsey, Papa John, Soetero Biden, Pelosi, Whogivesaschit many more,t all sucking on the Nazi Ukrainian graft. Hang them all.
OK…. what’s about BiB…. ??????will he have a last words on protentional agreement ?????
If these three stooges are posturing and pouting 🙈🙉🙊– it has my stamp of approval (for whatever that is worth)!
Mark Levin and Ted Cruz deny it, but they’re big neocons just like Lindsay Graham. These Establishment RepubliCANTS want this nation in perpetual war with the Arab World, and Americans of all political stripes are tired of it!
From 9/11 to the present we have spent over $7 trillion dollars and lost over 7,000 US serviceman. We’ve had enough of this loss of money and American lives.
Countries like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan and Egypt have to be involved in maintaining peace over there going forward and the Israelis have to deal with it!
Seam like these experts are right once a lifetime and the title goes on like it is weekly and it’s not. Trump is not an expert but he is right more than most.
I will put my money on Trump and tune this noise out.
My trust is with Trump, my faith is with God. They’re a good pair.
Absolutely 100% Correct!
I trust President Trump and I have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Director Tulsi Gabbard is one of the very, Very few others in Washington who I also trust.
Me too Shasta.
President Trump is one for the ages! He has literally changed the entire world politically, economically and militarily! JMO Godspeed President Trump!!!
Completely agree. But also know that it is impossible to negotiate with crazy.
👻

Whoa!!!
I was gonna say,”Yum!”
What a handsome horse….!
Onward and upward!
💯🇺🇲
Yes he has Bubby.
Sadly some still think he is too stupid to know the nature of the crackpots ruling Iran.
These people seem to think they need to tell PT all about what he is doing wrong.
Most of them have never been anywhere near the middle east or had a conversation with the Muslim rulers of these countries.
These commenters are almost gleeful when writing about the big mistakes Donald Trump has made dealing with Iran.
These “summer soldiers and sunshine patriots” will sadly always be with us.
We are so blessed to have President Donald Trump come along in our lifetime! The man is truly a force of nature, and he must have the full blessings of the good Lord above to be so successful and do so so much for the betterment of not just Americans, but the entire world.
God provides
If the US, particularly Trump/MAGA/America First folks get access to the nuclear material, every last traitor in DC will go absolutely bananas because they know Trump will know how Iran got the material. The media will be apoplectic.
To add to your point.
Metals can be analyzed to determine from where that metal was mined.
A’ la
” The Sum of All Fears ”
( the book is Better than the Movie )
👀 !!
Too bad, so sad! When have the demoncrats and the lamestream media ever not have fits, moaning and groaning. That is their only way of life, normal for them.
The losers in this are the Iranian people, who viewed this as their liberation. Apparently moving on at this point explains the Netanyahu’s rumored rage a few days ago.
But I get it. With the mid terms around the corner, the rabid GOPe having their petty tantrums, the War Powers Act threat, it appears there will be no further strikes on the IRGC ghouls. And, for those who know Biblical prophecy, Ezekiel 38/39 have to be fulfilled, so there’s that.
yes, all according to prophecy.
What I do not understand is over the decades we armed just about everyone on the planet. For some reason they do not want the Iranian people to fight for freedom. Apparently no other country in the world wants to armed them as well.
Didn’t the Kurds keep the guns or was that false. So much info to figure out truth.
In the first place, President Trump is different from any other leader. Don’t look to the past because foolish people got us into all the messes we face today.
Second, we want freedom for the Iranian people. Who we are fighting is their government, which consists of vicious IRGC zealots and crazy mullahs. President Trump tried to arm the people, but the Kurds kept the weapons. Let’s wait and see what happens.
Third, President Trump has stated that his goals are no nukes for Iran and an open strait. He specifically said he is not demanding regime change. As someone pointed out in comments yesterday, this may be a lesson learned from the folly in previous “regime changes” that destroyed the bureaucracy that runs a country. Or maybe the President has other reasons, for example, all the previous fought for regime changes that didn’t work.
yes…to your last sentence..color revolution did fail there .Pompeous ppl and others -miserable fail…also fail decapitations of their leaders…….bombing to stone age ??….rescue mission to capture Uranium…looks alike neither..so here we are….
That’s one aspect of this that puzzles me. I think anyone with any ME experience or knowledge of the history of the region could have predicted that the Kurds would never pass along any weapons that they received from outside sources and would instead retain them for the furtherance of their long obsessed-over dreams of carving out an independent Kurdistan.
God have mercy on the Iranian people.
Yes, I see the point, there most likely is future plans of some sorts. It just drives me nuts to see almost every 16 year old sh**h$&! in Africa waving an AK but not the people of Iran. I was hoping for a few Iranian versions of Lyudmila Pavlichenko.
The evil theocratic regime has the arms they confiscated from the Shah’s forces; plus whatever they have been able to buy with their oil revenues and B. Hussein Obama’s gift. The Iranian people likely have very little after 47 years of opression.
you planeoftheecliptic…. your fight for freedom start here not endless worry about freedom on planet !!!!
Hopefully removing their top 3 or 4 tiers of the virulent government and IRGC / army, will weaken the regime enough for the Iranian people to boot them. Sadly, it won’t be any faster than the dissolution of the USSR was.
As we speak, or so it seems. Then again I think every generation has “times” when particular scripture appears to be unfolding before them. I don’t know but I’d wager there must have been many Jews during the holocaust who must have thought “surely, this is it, surely the Messiah will arrive. Maybe all the boxes hadn’t been ticked yet???
It seems reasonable. There is a Win/Win available, and hopefully both sides find their way to get there. I am feeling optimistic.
Perhaps we should spend some time contemplating those who will be implementing this deal three years from now…
Would I “buy” all their nuclear material for $5-10B? I would really have to seriously consider that to get decades of questions answered.
I think it was wrong for President Trump to stop Epic Fury. Very wrong. He should have finished it, once and for all.

FTA:
“Iranian negotiators are demanding the immediate release of $12 billion in frozen assets held in Qatar as a precondition for advancing talks with the United States, an informed source with direct knowledge of the negotiations told Iran International.
According to the source, the release of these specific funds in Qatar is a strict precondition for the initial Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) stage.
Tehran has insisted that actual, guaranteed access to this $12 billion must be granted during this first phase before any preliminary diplomatic understanding can move forward, the source said.”
“Tehran’s broader negotiating position is that all of its frozen assets globally must be unfrozen and fully released as part of any eventual comprehensive agreement, according to the source.
Earlier in the day, IRGC-linked Tasnim News reported that differences between Iran and the United States over one or two clauses of a possible memorandum of understanding remained unresolved.
Tasnim also reported on Sunday that Iran has insisted any initial memorandum of understanding with the United States should include the release of at least part of its frozen assets in the first step.
The report said Tehran had stressed that the released funds must be accessible to Iran.
It added that Washington had sought in recent weeks to link the release of the assets to a possible final nuclear agreement.
Iran wants part of the funds released at the start of any MOU and a mechanism set for releasing the rest during negotiations, according to the report.”
Iranint has become quite sketchy recently. It appears this rag is out of the UK so one must take their “reporting” with a grain of salt.
The UK is one thing, it is still mostly the indigenous Welsh, Scots, English, Scots&Irish (N. Ireland). The “deplorables” of the land. Not unlike our MAGA deplorables in their own way.
The City of London with its majority-foreign-born “diversity” is a leprosy eating the flesh of civilization, with its toxic-multi-culti-globo-homo-banksters that are beyond rage at not getting to skim off a multi-trillion carbon-credits-green-finance scheme.
The UK is not the UK of The Beatles or Ian Fleming. City of London goons destroyed that.
Its unrecognizable. Due to life circumstances, I was very fortunate to have been able to spend summers and Christmases (for several years) in London. This was in the late ’70s. It was such a neat time. I’d see the wealthy Arabs with their wives shopping in Harrod’s and Liberty’s of London, walking around Knightsbridge – the women completely covered up, but being a city with an international draw, they were simply foreigners come to shop and passing through. They were like characters in a movie. Now, not so much.
President Trump is not Obama, the fact of which for some reason seems to have escaped the IRGC, Islamic terrorists and savages the lot of them.
Having said that, I am sceptical that the game has changed. We’ve been here before.
The Presidents have changed. The IRGC has not…
And I can’t help but think of the whimsical animal, Dr Doolittle’s “pushmi-pullyu”.
Early days in this new development.
We will see.
Wise words, Bets…
I, too, am skeptical because a deal depends on BOTH people adhering to their word and often, a person with good motives and an honorable mind gets taken advantage of by someone with neither!
My own dad was a shrewd businessman, but with a good heart, and he got burned several times, but he continued to offer opportunities to the next person that came along, always expecting the best from them, because he was putting forth his best.
It was, IMHO, his greatest trait and his fatal flaw! But I guess I wouldn’t have wanted him any other way because it was what made him who he was, a man still deeply admired and sorely missed by so many, even now!
No, mom, you wouldn’t want him any different from the way he was…a man of honour whom you could write of so passionately and with so much love.
He would have recognized President Trump as the same and shaken his hand had he been offered the chance.
The world is full of the other kind which unfortunately have to be interacted with…
My British father in law, a man of strong principles himself, told his then young son that when dealing with bullies, “Warn them once”. I hope that in his discussions with these untrustworthy intermediaries and the IRGC (which we are not privy to) that President Trump has given such a warning. If they in turn continue to prevaricate, I also hope they will come to understand that he is a man of his word….one way or the other.
In the meanwhile, all we can do is wait.
The IRGC only respects the Big Stick,… they abuse Speaking Softly to prevaricate only for their advantage.
“Bombs Away”, Donald.
Bin Laden once said, “The West has all the watches, but we’ve got all the time.” So wrote Mark Steyn.
I can’t help but remember this quote now as it pertains to the tick tock of the midterms. I believe that it is entirely possible that the IRGC, aware of this, and are quite willing to do their bit towards trying to make things difficult, hoping that the Democrats will have a better chance of sweeping both House and Senate. To handicap or neuter his final two years in other words.
Back and forth, back and forth, etc etc…agree to the MoU, then not, then yes, then no…
President Trump can’t be seen to play by their rules. And yet…and be assured I hate to say it…this is exactly what looks as if is happening. Appearances are all.
The clock should be ticking for them.
This far and no further.
Give them a deadline, then that’s it.
No backtracking, no more “Someone asked me not to, so I won’t”, no more warnings.
The consequences are for being irresolute are looming.
It wasn’t your dad’s flaw. It was the flaw in the people who took advantage of him.
He didn’t let those experiences change who HE was – a principled man.
No wonder he is still sorely missed.
…there is another “sticking ” point beside to “unfroze” Iranian assets…stop IDF action in the Lebanon…BiB…will not stop !!!!
I have my doubts that the releasing of their frozen assets is going to happen before a firm deal! They would just thumb their noses at us and keep trying to build their nuclear bombs.
I trust the iranian government and the IRGC demons as far as I could throw them, which is not real far! I say no to giving them any of their frozen assets. IMHO those assets should go to the people, not the government. The Persian people have suffered far too many years under this demonic regime. The crooked government should be eradicated completely! They are muslim, slime, demonic liars and deserve nothing but contempt.
First of all, Iran is in no position to be demanding anything. Nothing less than unconditional surrender should be acceptable, then we can think about “negotiations”, on our terms and favorable to us. Iran relinquished their position to demand anything favorable to them long ago. They should feel grateful that they aren’t a total wasteland similar to Hiroshima and Nagasaki at this point in time. Finish the job, President Trump.
if you really knew …what really happen trough Epic Fury…you would understand why bombing “abruptly” end……
With our carrier groups still on station, I believe, the ‘kinetic’ aspect of Operation EF, the ‘stick’, is on temporary hold, while the ‘carrot’ aspect of it is making progress. Yes?
Although easy to do, wiping the mullahs off the map but resulting in great harm to the Iranian people is probably something that President Trump wants to avoid.
Let’s see if Netanyahu sabotages this.
Oh please. Getting old
I don’t think he will. But: if the Iranians cheat, all restraints on the Israelis will be off.
The Iranians lie, cheat and steal. That’s a fact. The sooner the world acknowledges that, the sooner we can cut off the head of the snake for good.
We have the right man in the right place. Miss Lindsey and Cruz are in love with the sound of their own voice. America may have made them wealthy but neither 1 has any skills that would make America a better place. The sooner they leave, the better.
However, as with all things that involve rumor and speculation, the best approach is to wait and see what the deal entails.
I trust President Trump to find the optimal solution.
It is in this kind of political wisdom I try to abide. Especially in the Age of Trump. Thank you Sundance for the update. Now, we wait. And pray🙏
Obama’s library needs to be turned into an illegal detention center and a prison for all the criminals. I can’t think of one single thing he did to help America.
It looks like one honestly
The really epically cool thing about lightbringers library is there will be NOTHING of substance inside. Trump is undoing most of what lightbringer forced upon us. With exception of healthcare.
peace,
Obama’s library looks like it was constructed for the express purpose of being a prison.
Also, causes me to think of the Tower of Babel, when I see photos of it on teevee.
Maybe, it is both Tower and Prison.
A mix between soviet brutalism and phallic minimalism, rather in tune with his personna
Definitely some dystopian nightmare!
It looks like the nefarious Building F in Atlas Shrugged.
agree. this is what made me think it would make a really great prison
I would not want to offend illegal aliens by forcing them to enter that “building”.
Besides, with all its construction problems and flaws, it is not safe for human occupancy. We don’t want to hurt illegals aliens, that thing might collapse on them.
Just put them straight on a jetliner back to whence they came.
I’m not surprised it’s had construction problems. Probably had a DEI building contractor!
You mean, the Tower of Sauron?
“I can’t think of one single thing he did to help America.”
The “light bringer” helped to illuminate the American people’s vulnerability to deception.
Now it’s up to us as to what we do with that information.
Yep,…..”I Won” is now, “I am Done”!
His Shuck & Jive don’t sell “no mo” to Middle America!
I am waiting for the hand of GOD to direct a meteor to strike it and crumble it to the ground, or some stray “experimental Laser weapon” to somehow have the wrong coordinates in it’s targeting system that are very close to Lat/Long/GPS of this Big Mike ugly that “whoopsie” key strokes direct the lasers to melt steel frame work and it just melts inward followed by an sinkhole that swallows it all back in the depths where Barky and Big Mike truly belong, without any trace of either one surviving.
And Obama should be the first inmate. What an honor!
Announce a deal when there is one.
A watched pot never boils.
“If you’re looking, you ain’t cooking!”
I hope that President Trump will keep his word, but here is the problem:
Who are we kidding??? We are negotiating with Middle Eastern Rug Merchants for crying out loud!
And you better believe that they’re looking to make a major profit right off the bat.

If it’s in Itanitl it must be true
Wait and see attitude. I saw all of those rants and waited for Sundance. Did you?
….feisty they also demand -to stop all military action in south Lebanon….
Go pound sand, Iran!
I think Trump’s team was in part counting on an internal uprising . Unfortunately, it appears that those who protested en masse in January had their ranks severely thinned or were content to sit back and let the U.S. do all the work. “Help is on the the way” meant just that: help, not substitution. Perhaps a weakened Iranian government can be slowly supplanted.
Over 40k of them were murdered in the streets in January/February, many more have been thrown into prison and the rest are being kept hiding in fear because reinforcements came from Iraq to man checkpoints all over the place. Those who don’t express love for the mullahs are killed.
Good point to consider.
It does seem likely that the arming of the Persian people was planned but somehow is not happening. And it SHOULD have begun by now.
I suppose a Plan B would involve a no-nuke deal, followed by the gradual rise of the Persians of Iran.
I trust President Trump. God bless him and protect him.

https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2026/05/24/iran-agreed-to-surrender-enriched-uranium-end-nuclear-ambitions-in-tentative-deal-with-trump-reports/
Speaking of uranium, whatever happened to the uranium one scandal?
I would think that Putin’s forces captured the documents.
He seems to be pretty confident. The Hill-Beast always seems pretty anxious and upset the past few years.
How a Russian-owned company got approvals to own and operate uranium mines in the U.S. under the Clinton administration is still sketchy. However, Uranium Energy Corp (UEC) bought out the Russian-owned Uranium One in 2021, making it American again.

I guess I’ll be the contrarian in the room.
How long before this deal collapses – if it actually happens?

Prayers and Godspeed to our negotiators! 🙂
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
What about our promises to help the Iranian people throw off this despotic regime? Leaving it in power just throws them to the wolves. Please see my Substack post at:
https://open.substack.com/pub/alfrancis/p/iransmein-kampf?r=1nbcvc&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true
“We promised the Iranian protestors that “Help is on the way!” To turn our backs on them now and leave them to the not-so-tender mercies of the IRGC thugs would be a disgrace equivalent to our withdrawal from Afghanistan and South Vietnam.”|
Worse as the Taliban and the Viet Cong in Afghanistan and South Vietnam had a lot more support among the population than the hated IRGC has in Iran.
TAKING THE GOOD WITH THE BAD:
The bad is that, historically, any deal negotiated with the Iranian Mullahs has been as effective as issuing a restraining order against Ted Bundy!
The good is that President Trump doesn’t make bad deals!
THE WORST APPROACH AND THE BEST APPROACH:
The worst approach is the one Cruz, Graham, Levin, Loomer and a host of others are taking, ie, going apoplectic about a deal that hasn’t even been made yet!
The best approach is just as Sundance says, wait and see what happens before getting your panties in an uproar!
(The panties part is mine!)
I don’t think some of the commenters here read Sundance’s posts.
‘It isn’t even fully negotiated yet.’
Translation:
All the talk about “we’re close” is BS. There is no deal. The parties are farther apart than ever. The US position looks increasingly untenable.
All apparently proceeding according to Plan.
Whatever you’re smoking HAS to be illegal 😎

…saaadly… but you are correct…
Sorry what is SAO?
SAO stands for “Senior Administration Official.”
Thank you!
Senior Administration Official.
Senior Administration Official.
I assume that the previously-unknown-to-me acronym “SAO” has something to do with a high-ranking accountant somewhere.
*
Yes, I googled it and “SAO” is either the State Attorney’s Office, or South Atlantic Ocean, or the Philippine Special Assistant to the President (which would actually be “SAP”, but hey: it’s close!)
*
So many unexplained acronyms: so little time.
Is blockade on until we get the uranium?
world will not like it…
This “deal” isn’t going anywhere.
Both sides are simply yanking the chain of the other.
Trump is right that, “time is on our side.”
He already knows that they will never perform. So, he has set his own schedule.
I trust Trump.
Do you really trust anything these Suicidal Islamists agree to won’t be violated? It would be a First…
“I trust President Trump to find the optimal solution.”
So key. He’s working with the Gulf neighbors on this. Getting THEIR buy-in. Huge.
After reading the screaming negative headlines this morning, I took a wait and see attitude until Sundance posted. It paid off.
FYI — oil prices doing nothing right now. Hovering around $96. Looks like markets are in waiting mode like everyone else.
I mean seriously, aren’t you glad we are selling oil to Saudi Arabia for $96 a barrel? At least the U.S. is making money. Aren’t a lot of retirement pensions 401K tied to oil production?
The spr is being depleted at about 20 million barrels a week
What about the IIRG? Hoping their remaining? presence will be addressed? They could jeopardize any ceasing of hostilities against US and Persian/peaceful citizens.
So happy CTH exists. Trying to make sense of anything the “media” puts out is a fool’s errand.
Trump will “find the optimal solution” and he won’t settle for a bad deal.
Let him cook.
With the current regime retaining power I have a hard time thinking that any deal will last past President Trump’s term.
I don’t want to rain on anybody’s parade, but my guess is that Iran will sabotage the deal.
Opening up the Strait of Hormus, removing all the IRGC sea mines, no $2 million tol per ship passing and giving up their enriched uranium stash. Raise your hand if you beleave that BS
So within 24 hrs the bombing will continue. Only at a whole different level.
Rumor has it, Mojtaba Khamenei, the supreme ‘leader’ agrees to the conditions. I don’t beleave that BS. Mojtaba is dead, or if he’s alive, he doesn’t know he’s alive and who or where is. Something like Joe Biden, but than far worse.
The ayatollahs, more than 700, fled to Canada with their families and money in the first days after the war began.. The new ruling power in Iran is now the IRGC. But even wIthin the IRGC the struggle for power isn’t setteled yet. Like in the US, there are billions or more (trillions) at stake. The struggle within the IRGC is who will get their hands on that money. Oh yes, the’re devout muslims, but they love money more than anybody else.
So it’s war within 24 hrs from now, or there’s a deal that won’t last long.
We’ll see what happens, PDJT always says.
I don’t think there has ever been proof of a single sea mine deployed by Iran. At least there have been zero instances of one going off, and zero instances of the US claiming to have “swept” any.
S well…not a shred of evidence that anyone has paid any toll.
Semi-relevant: the ousted Massie says he will name names on the way out of Congress.
If he actually cared, he’d have named them before 2024. Qatar loves themselves some both sides of their mouthing.
Why won’t he just name them now?

JUST IN – Was on a background media group call regarding details of the Iran peace deal.
Excerpt:
What changed the Iranians thinking making them more amenable to a deal? Unclear if military or economic pressure was most persuasive. But the official confirms Iranians are talking in depth and in detail about getting rid of their enriched stockpiles and stopping enrichment in ways they haven’t been willing to discuss before. They have acknowledged that’s something they now have to give on.
The broader overarching goal is to empower the moderate elements of Iran to overpower the influence of the hardliners. “We have high confidence that we have a good understanding of their command structure.” Moderates may not be in control yet, hardliners are still there, but they are “ascendant.”
The official says returning back to the blockade or a military posture remains on the table if talks breakdown.
There are no “moderates” in Iran.
There may be some in power who are slightly less fanatical and willing to deal.
Maybe they started to get clued in that Allah allowed them to be squashed.
DJT was being GENEROUS when he called the Obama crew “Rank Amateurs”
They knew EXACTLY what what they were doing!
They were anti-US TRAITORS
Core Iranian Demands (from the most recent proposals)
These are consistently reported across Iranian state media, Al Jazeera, Reuters, Forbes, and others:
End to hostilities on all fronts — Including a full ceasefire in Iran, Lebanon (against Hezbollah), Iraq, Yemen, and the broader region. No time-limited ceasefire; permanent end to attacks.
Lifting of US sanctions — All unilateral sanctions, plus secondary sanctions, to allow full economic normalization.
Lifting the US naval blockade — On Iranian ports and ending maritime restrictions.
Reopening the Strait of Hormuz — With Iranian involvement or sovereignty recognized; Iran would help clear mines and ensure secure navigation (sometimes with proposals for fees or shared control).
Release of frozen Iranian assets — Several billion dollars held abroad.
War reparations/compensation — For damage from US-Israeli strikes (e.g., infrastructure, oil, etc.).
Security guarantees and non-aggression — Protections against future US/Israeli attacks, withdrawal of US forces from nearby areas, and recognition of Iranian sovereignty.
Nuclear rights — Insistence on the right to uranium enrichment and peaceful nuclear activities (including building more reactors). Iran has resisted full suspension of enrichment or handing over its stockpile of highly enriched uranium, often pushing nuclear details to later phases.
Other elements in earlier versions (e.g., April/May 2026 10-point or 14-point plans) include ending support for certain resolutions against Iran and broader regional de-escalation.

Core US demands:
The US 15-point peace plan (delivered to Iran via Pakistani mediators around March 25, 2026) was an early comprehensive framework proposed shortly after the outbreak of direct US/Israeli military actions against Iran in late February 2026. It aimed to end hostilities, address core security threats, and provide incentives for Iran. The full text has not been publicly released, so details come from leaks, official briefings, and reporting by NYT, BBC, Reuters, Al Jazeera, Foreign Policy, and others.
Core Elements of the 15-Point Plan
While not every point is confirmed, aggregated reporting outlines these major components:
Nuclear Program — Iran must commit to never pursuing nuclear weapons, dismantle or severely degrade key facilities (e.g., Fordow, Natanz, Isfahan), halt all uranium enrichment on Iranian soil, and surrender its stockpile of highly enriched uranium (reportedly ~400+ kg at ~60% enrichment) to the IAEA or a third party. Enhanced IAEA monitoring and verification would follow.
Ballistic Missiles — Limits or suspension of Iran’s ballistic missile program, including production, range restrictions, and testing.
Regional Proxies (“Axis of Resistance”) — End support, funding, and arming of groups like Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis, and Iraqi militias. This includes stopping attacks on US/Israeli allies.
Strait of Hormuz and Maritime Issues — Immediate reopening to unrestricted international navigation, ending Iranian restrictions or blockades, and guarantees for safe passage.
Ceasefire and De-escalation — Immediate or phased ceasefire (initially proposed as one month for negotiations), end to hostilities on all fronts (including Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen), and withdrawal/repositioning of certain forces.
Sanctions Relief — Lifting of many US nuclear-related and other sanctions, release of frozen Iranian assets (billions of dollars), and potential civilian nuclear cooperation with US monitoring.
Other Elements — Possible acknowledgment of Israel’s right to exist, security guarantees (with caveats), and broader regional stability measures. Some reports mention US assistance for a monitored civilian nuclear program in exchange for compliance.
The plan was structured as a package: major Iranian concessions on security threats in exchange for economic relief and an off-ramp from conflict.
Evolution: The 15-point plan set the initial parameters but evolved. By April-May 2026, talks shifted toward shorter frameworks (e.g., 10- or 14-point MoUs) with phased approaches: prioritize de-escalation, Strait reopening, and limited sanctions relief before deeper nuclear/proxy issues. As of late May 2026, negotiations continue with some convergence on a memorandum but persistent gaps on enrichment timelines and proxies.
———–
Key Reported Elements of the Pending MoU
Details are aggregated from leaks and briefings (Axios, Reuters, Al Jazeera, CNN, Bloomberg, etc.) and may still change:
Immediate/Phase 1: End to Hostilities and De-escalation
Formal declaration of an end to the war or extended ceasefire (e.g., 30–60 days).
Mutual commitments to no attacks (US/Israel on Iran and proxies; Iran and allies on US/Israel and regional targets).
Phased lifting of the US naval blockade on Iranian ports and Iran’s restrictions on shipping.
Strait of Hormuz
Reopening to unrestricted international navigation (critical for global oil flows).
Gradual implementation during an initial 30-day period, with guarantees for safe passage. Iran would help facilitate this while maintaining some sovereignty claims.
Nuclear Issues (Deferred to Later Talks)
Framework for negotiations on limiting Iran’s nuclear program, including potential curbs on enrichment, stockpile management (e.g., disposal or surrender of highly enriched uranium), and enhanced monitoring.
Iran has resisted immediate full suspension or handover; this is pushed to a 30–60 day detailed negotiation window. US demands for no nuclear weapons remain core.
Sanctions and Economic Measures
Lifting or waiving of certain US sanctions (especially on oil exports) during the negotiation period.
Release of some frozen Iranian assets/funds (e.g., partial releases in early phases, with reports mentioning access to billions).
Broader Regional Elements
Roadmap for addressing proxies, ballistic missiles, and regional stability in follow-on talks.
Involvement of regional actors (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain) for broader buy-in.
The MoU serves as a short-term off-ramp rather than a comprehensive final deal: It prioritizes stopping immediate fighting and economic pain (Strait/blockade) while kicking tougher issues (full nuclear curbs, proxies, long-term security guarantees) to subsequent negotiations in places like Islamabad or Geneva.
Current Status and Sticking Points (as of May 24)
Progress: Trump called talks “very good” and the deal close; Iranian sources say gaps have narrowed. Mediators report positive momentum.
Challenges: Nuclear enrichment/stockpile details, timeline for sanctions relief, verification mechanisms, and full Iranian compliance on the Strait. Iran wants stronger security guarantees and reparations; the US wants irreversible steps on nuclear issues.
Next Steps: Iran expected to provide responses soon (days, not weeks). A signed MoU would trigger the 30-day implementation/negotiating clock.
This is highly fluid—check major outlets for real-time updates, as positions can shift quickly. The framework represents a compromise from earlier maximalist plans (e.g., the US 15-point proposal).
“These are consistently reported across Iranian state media, Al Jazeera, Reuters, Forbes, and others:”
Well golly. If all these authoritative sources say so, by God it must be true….NOT
How many times has Trump said we were close to a deal which then didn’t happen. And its western sources, too. Better than remaining entirely in the dark.
Western “sources” are hands up Iran’s skirt.
Western sources is debatable. Reuters in particular is not a source I would trust. Forbes echos Reuters and Al Jazeera….seriously.
Your long post lost all credibility in the first paragraph where you cited the sources.
Sorry my friend, just my opinion
Honest question. What sources do you trust?
The only guarantee of an end to the threat of Iran would have been a change to a more reasonable regime.
Regime change was explicitly a major stated goal of the February 2026 strikes (Operation Epic Fury), alongside degrading nuclear and missile programs.
Strikes began Feb 28, 2026: ~900 strikes in initial waves targeting missiles, air defenses, military sites, nuclear facilities, and leadership. Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and other top officials were killed.
President Trump and PM Netanyahu publicly urged Iranians to overthrow the regime, with Trump calling for “internal regime change” and framing it as an opportunity for the Iranian people. Trump described regime change as desirable and tied to broader objectives.
This built on 2025 actions (Israeli strikes, US nuclear site bombings). Earlier rhetoric focused more on nuclear/missile threats, but 2026 escalated to decapitation strikes and explicit overthrow calls.
Outcomes: Ceasefire by early April 2026 after retaliation and Hormuz disruptions. Khamenei’s son succeeded him; full regime collapse did not occur.
Goals partially met on capabilities degradation but regime endurance frustrated maximalist aims.
These were not purely defensive; leadership targeting and public calls indicate regime change as a core (if optimistic) objective. Critics note risks of escalation and unclear post-strike planning.
In summary, weakening Iran’s ability to project threat (via proxies, nukes, missiles) is essential for Gulf stability. Overthrow could yield a better long-term partner if it produces a pragmatic government, but evidence from history and Iran’s resilience suggests it’s no panacea—high chance of unintended chaos.
“If we can have a coup, great. If we can have people on the streets, great. If we can have a civil war, great. Israel couldn’t care less about the future…or the stability of Iran.” – Danny Citrinowicz, Iran expert and senior researcher at Tel Aviv’s Institute for National Security Studies.
So, no “Mission Accomplished” banners, please.
JMO.
President Trump writes: “Iran takes forever to get you a response on even small things.”
tap, tap, tap, repeat, tap, tap, tap, repeat, tap, tap, tap, repeat ………
That has been going on for weeks ………
That excuse from President Trump isn’t believable.
He wouldn’t fall for that old “tap, tap, tap” ruse.
Therefore, he has a plan ….. that is requiring some longer than planned “setup time”, thus the unexplained delays on his part that have brought forth some criticisms from friendly quarters.
It probably involves both domestic and foreign players.
There are going to be some very big, surprised losers.
The bigger they are, the harder they fall in a cloud of dust.
When the dust settles, you can be sure the winners are going to include Americans and their loyal allies.
MAGA / America First isn’t just our motto, it is our duty!
So much disinformation being put out by the black piller.
Black pillers as in plural
It does not bother me in the slightest that Graham, Cruz, and others are upset. They would be among the very few in the country if what they want is a ground invasion, because that is what it would likely take to force the mullahocracy and IRGC to surrender and give up control completely. If a ground invasion is what they want, they should say so. Otherwise, a negotiated deal of some sort is what it will take. If the Iranian people were going to rise up and overthrow the regime, it would have already happened.
The regime is already destitute and their oil production capacity is basically turned off. It is being degraded more every day it remains turned off, and some of that lost of production apparently will take years to regain, if ever. They have managed to alienate almost the entire surrounding region, something no one could have imagined just a few months ago. So if the President can force the regime into giving up its nuclear program, can force them into ceasing support for external terror groups, and can force them into permanently reopening Hormuz, then how can any of these people like Graham and Cruz object? If their plan is a forever war, then they should say so for the record or get behind the President and help make this happen, rather than opening their mouths and encouraging elements in the regime to try to hold out for more time.
Mebbe detractors are just reading their part of the script.
Trust but verify.
Simple as that.
I’m ok with skipping the trust part altogether this time Stan
Considering the gu$hing oil money in I ran
and some
in$pector$ becoming tempted to have a blind eye…..
the verification part is easier said, than done.
hint:
did the prior I ran, nuclear inspectors ever point out a serious issue?
hmmm…
Imho
How about never trust and verify?
All media, including Citizen Free Press(CFP), is screaming about the prospective deal to the effect that ‘we got screwed.’ Latest from CFP is that “Trump is backing away” from the deal. Personally, I think Kane, the person behind CFP, is an anti-Trumper.
Mike Pompeo wants to be important again.
“The deal being floated with Iran seems straight out of the Wendy Sherman-Robert Malley-Ben Rhodes playbook: Pay the IRGC to build a WMD program and terrorize the world.
Not remotely America First. It’s straightforward: Open the damned strait. Deny Iran access to money. Take out enough Iranian capability so it cannot threaten our allies in the region.
Overdue. Let’s go.”
Pompeo doesn’t have a clue about what’s in the deal…yet he’s bleating like he’s been in the room 😎
