The meeting is all business as the two apex economic leaders are scheduled to meet on a summit that is majority framed around finance, trade, AI and economics. At its core, this summit between President Trump and Chairman Xi is about economic power.
Within the power dynamic of these types of high-stakes meetings, positioning plays a critical role. Chairman Xi Jinping did not attend the arrival ceremony and the meeting between Trump and Xi will not take place until Thursday. Chinese Vice President Han Zheng greeted Trump at the Beijing airport. US Ambassador to China David Purdue and China’s Ambassador to the US Xie Feng were also there to welcome him.

(Daily Mail) – […] The President’s Air Force One posse also included NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, who was scooped up on a refueling stop in Alaska, US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, Fox News host Sean Hannity and Rush Hour director Brett Ratner.
Trump’s arrival with a verified boardroom of CEOs, including Boeing’s Kelly Ortberg, Goldman Sachs’s David Solomon, GE Aerospace’s Larry Culp and others, signifies the full arsenal of American capitalist firepower touching down in communist China. The executives cover a large portion of US industries, ranging from tech, finance, banking and more.
As globalist trends fade and nations turn inward to provide for themselves in an increasingly self-isolating environment, the President’s choice to bring a group of hand-selected bosses underscores a pragmatic pivot to outsourcing some of America’s economic hurdles to private citizens while Trump engages with his ‘friend,’ Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The board of US businessmen arriving in Beijing with the President represents tens of trillions of dollars.
‘I will be asking President Xi, a Leader of extraordinary distinction, to ‘open up’ China so that these brilliant people can work their magic,’ Trump posted on social media while on Air Force One. ‘I will make that my very first request.’
While most state visits feature a cadre of diplomats, military leaders and agency heads, Trump has deliberately loaded up his presidential aircraft with dealmakers.
The CEOs are not there for show; rather, they are there to negotiate terms that fuel US and Chinese ambitions. (read more)

Make XI your bi*ch!
I don’t think that is the plan-at least I hope not.
President Trump has cultivated a mutually respectful relationship with both Putin and Xi. No other world leader has ever done that.
Two men representing differing worldviews can achieve mutually beneficial outcomes if they treat each other with respect, and if they are strong enough to protect and advance the righteous goal of the people they represent.
They must also have the courage to hold each other accountable-trust but verify. And take strong and courageous action if necessary.
I believe that President Trump is the only man in the world who, with God’s blessing, is capable of pulling this off.
100% concur. Just being humorous.
Agree, that was a great laugh!
It’s hard not to respect a country that puts its nation first, one that by any means necessary keeps its Muslims, and Clown World, from joining and wrecking its entire nation.
Would that we could be so protective of ours.
I think the reason Putin & Xi have a respectful relationship with Trump (as well as the countries of the Middle East) is that Trump is dismantling the globalist order that has plagued the planet for close to 100 years.
A return to sovereign nations working together (supporting their interests) is going to be a game changer after a century of manipulation, faux conflicts, and engineered destruction.
Coronavirus.
“Their” trillions at stake?
Dear Lord, Please continue to protect and guide President Trump. Amen
Amen
Play hardball, President Trump! We have the upper hand and leverage…They are hurting for fossil fuel but won’t acknowledge it… and their economy is in bad shape… they need our trading bloc.
First negative story by Fake news in 3,2,1…..
Palm Beach is a better place for next couple days with Hannity gone, could tell something was different. /s
Kinda wish it was also about “how do we root out and destroy all of the corruption, plz help”.
I am not so enthusiastic about the people President Trump brought on this “expedition to make deals”.
The bankers among them already have massive interchange capabilities via Hong Kong related banking agreements as well as US Banking Agreements still in place from the Clinton, Obama and JoeBama Auto-Pen regimes.
The “Investment Company Owners” still take advantage of JoeBama Auto-Pen regime’s opening of US Investment Markets to China Inc. and associated Honk Kong Special Investment Agreements.
With respect to the business and hi-tech business owners … they and China Inc. still exploit the the Export Licenses they created over the past 30 YEARS …. as well as the use of TARP and DOE money dolled out 2009-2010 under Obama to capitalize operations inside China.
The US businesses get to set up stuff in China and do financial business inside China Inc. while China Inc. gains technology, seats on US corporate boards, seats in US Universities, US University Campuses in China Inc. and seats INSIDE US business-tech operations as Employees.
Meanwhile there has been no movement to review, curb. modify or remove any Agreements the US government has to approve and oversee. As stones are overturned daily inside US Governments (municipal to national), Businesses, et al … more China Inc. INTEL roaches are found scurrying about.
So … tell me again how this is a good thing for the US voter, consumer and worker … i.e. Main Street Economy.
People make a huge mistake thinking the China Inc. economy can be evaluated by performance of anything INSIDE China.
China is massive international corporation and business run by the communist party and Military (China Inc.). Everything (including people) inside the borders of China are just corporate assets to develop, close down or allow to exist as is.
Thank God, yet again, that we have a businessman, a builder, at the helm. A very wealthy, successful one at that, immune to being purchased by Panda.
Contrast with the Autopen, Obama, Bush, both Clintons, and the very worst of all, cackling Kamala. Boy, did we dodge a bullet.
Xi has his faults, but unlike the limp Eurocrats, he’s no beta. Probably actually easier for Trump to deal with than the insipid Starmer, Merz, Macron, etc. Oh, and little Z. BTW, is he still around?
Bulletproof vest on Trump?
Don’t blame him if so.
The big fat juicy carrot will be openly dangled but the big stick will be subtly waved.
China will have to make some decisions that will be tough for their communist ideology. They can’t have a thriving world leading economy with communism at it’s core. It just won’t work, and I think PDJT and all these business leaders are there to illustrate this fact.
