The pretence about the motive is a boiler-plate Leftist reaction to any incident that was caused by their rhetoric, what’s interesting though is that that he felt he needed to respond at all. It’s almost as if he was trying to forestall any attempt by the radicals to support the assassin and signal to them that this, transparently disingenuous, response to the incident is the official one that they should adopt.

Look how quickly Fetterman linked the attempt on the President’s life with the need to build the ballroom and how the MSM’s coverage is being framed. It’s as if they fear what one of the radicals might decide to say about the incident, even if many secretly agree with them.
