While I am hopefully pleased with this, this time 2025 would have been nice. While I know keeping things secret/low key while things progress is best in the long run, realistically, how long does he/they have before midterms to show constructive progress? GA primary is 5/19, early (I know bad) starts 4/27.
Does obvious progress need to be shown by mid/late summer?

I think Joe DiGenova is a good choice for this role for all the reasons Sundance stated. I think he’s seen the rat’s nest, and I think it tried to devour he and his bride during this whole debacle, and I think he’s got a righteous axe to grind with the conspirators. More, since he’s been involved in prosecuting cases of this complexity during his career, successfully, I think he knows how to put a case together, developing a timeline of evidence and testimony that can be understood by a grand jury, and hopefully a federal jury or juries. Godspeed to him. We need this. President Trump needs this. The Republican needs this.

The key here is not so much the appointment of folks like DiGenova….although that’s important.
The key is WHERE the legal battle will take place — Florida rather than the People’s Republic of DC.
The key is having an honest judge and a diverse jury pool — not the corrupt cabal of judges in DC and a jury pool that would vote Castro back in power.
Hopefully, one or more of these potential prosecutions at least gets to trail, where UNDER OATH witnesses will be questioned…evidence will be presented….and SUNLIGHT will be splayed across the whole rotten bunch of them.
Fort Pierce, Fla. is an interesting choice. A few decades ago I lived at the southern end of Martin County and was on the prospective Grand Jury list. …was actually very enthused about it. However, rules stated that if you lived more than 50 miles away the State had to provide accommodations…so, therefore I was “excused.” Don’t know about the demographics today, but the jurors pool is probably not typical of an urban area.

I still remember this guy vividly from the Clinton era: Whitewater, Vince Foster’s mysterious death, and all the rest.
