According to multiple media reports Maria Medetis Long has moved away from the investigative case surrounding John Brennan.
CNN was the first to report the move, and the anonymous sourcing indicates the information likely comes from notification sent by the prosecuting attorney to the witnesses and targets of the Florida-based grand jury.
(VIA CNN) – The Justice Department has removed the career Miami federal prosecutor leading the investigation into John Brennan, after she resisted pressure to quickly bring charges against the former CIA director and prominent critic of President Donald Trump, according to people briefed on the matter.
Maria Medetis Long on Friday notified attorneys representing people involved in the case that she was no longer handling the investigation, the people familiar with the matter said. She has led the politically sensitive probe for months amid demands from Trump to prosecute Brennan and other critics.
The investigation into Brennan is focused on one of the president’s longest standing political grievances — the 2017 intelligence assessment that found Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election to help him. (read more)
The fraudulent and politically manipulated Intelligence Community Assessment touches on the Ciaramella information recently released. Ciaramella participated in both the construct of the ICA in early 2017 and then became the anonymous CIA whistleblower in 2019.
There is no indication the move of Maria Medetis Long is related to the recent discoveries; however, there is a certain continuity of conspiracy noted in the timeline that connects CIA Director John Brennan and CIA Analyst Eric Ciaramella.
We shall wait to see what else surfaces.

Really makes you wonder how many attorneys and investigators in DOJ are willing to do their jobs properly as you would expect of professionals. Not saying they have to be Trump supporters, but rather professionals who will do the job properly and promptly without bias one way or the other. I think the percentage is really low.

What is it with Florida prosecutors and attorney generals? Not wanting to do their jobs or that is the way it looks. Something does not smell right about this, and I would not be surprised if Ms. Long was somehow connected back in the past, with the attempted coup on President Trump. There is more than enough proof of Barack Obama, John Brennan, James Comey, and James Clapper, Susan Rice, Valerie Jarrett, and Joe Biden orchestrating, and implementing the coup on President Trump. That lovely picture above displays some but not all of the main figures that should already be in prison for life or if ruled treason, in the ground. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama would be at the top of the list. I want to see Mark Milley and Alexander Vindman recalled and court martialed. Milley is on video admitting he gave aid and comfort to the Chinese Communist Party which is the definition of treason. Vinman lied to Congress and falsely accused the Commander in Chief which should send him to Fort Leavenworth for the rest of his life. I’ve wondered for many years (decades) why these regional federal prosecutor’s offices seem so unproductive. They are good at getting small-ball stuff, but they seem incapable of making any difference at all on the big corruption stuff. It makes no difference who the President is and who’s the Lead Fed guy that’s appointed.
These offices are basically run by the embedded career prosecutors and they seem very cozy with local and regional corruption. Places like NY or IL or CA are open-air corruption hot-beds and have been for generations. A stadium full of prosecutors couldn’t get it all. No one ever makes even a small dent.
The conclusion I have come to is that you can’t prosecute stuff you pretend not to see. These offices basically protect the corruption.

So the next one will have to get caught up and then another will be put in and they will have to get caught up and on and on till the clock has run out.

Trump and his appointees need to stop insisting that the FBI and DOJ are fundamentally sound institutions with only a few bad actors. These institutions are corrupt, and until that’s acknowledged publicly and a full house-cleaning takes place, the slow-walking of cases and outright sabotage will continue.
Trump’s approach so far has been primarily subtractive. He sees enemies and removes them. That addresses the symptom, hostile personnel, but it doesn’t solve the structural problem. That’s a reflex, not a strategy. It’s a temporary disruption that reverts to baseline the moment Trump gets distracted by another big shiny thing or the next administration takes office.
Why Devin Nunes hasn’t been fired by Trump? Why is Ratcliffe, who dropped the ball on the fabricated Atkinson/Ciaramella impeachment predicate is still Director of the Central Intelligence Agency?
Nunes could’ve been fired without any political cost or consequences. He knew what was going on and said nothing.
