My personal opinion on the FISA-702 reauthorization is well known {GO DEEP}. However, I am not naïve enough to believe there is enough DC support to stop it. {GO DEEP} That said, I am disappointed the reauthorization will not be attached to the Save America Act as leverage.
[Via Truth Social] – “I am working very hard with our Great Speaker, Mike Johnson, along with Chairman Jim Jordan and Chairman Rick Crawford, to get a clean extension of FISA 702 through the House of Representatives this week. I am asking Republicans to UNIFY, and vote together on the test vote to bring a clean Bill to the floor. We need to stick together when this Bill comes before the House Rules Committee today to keep it CLEAN!
I was a victim of the worst and most illegal abuse of FISA in our Nation’s History, by Radical Left Lunatics, who lied to the FISA Court to spy on my 2016 Presidential Campaign in their attempt to RIG the Election in favor of Crooked Hillary Clinton. Their use of this instrument in the 2020 Presidential Election was even worse! When the Dirty Cop, James Comey, the failed Head of the FBI, went after me, he was using FISA Title I, the Domestic Collection, not FISA 702, the Foreign Collection, which needs to be extended today.
While parts of FISA were illegally and unfortunately used against me in the Democrats’ disgraceful Witch Hunt and Attack in the RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA Hoax, and perhaps would be used against me in the future, I am willing to risk that as a Citizen in order to do what is right for our Country.”
“Our Military desperately needs FISA 702, and it is one of the reasons we have had such tremendous SUCCESS on the battlefield, both in Venezuela and Iran. Since the first day of my already Historic Second Term, my Administration has worked tirelessly to ensure these FISA Reforms are being aggressively executed at every level of the Executive Branch to keep Americans safe, while protecting our sacred Civil Liberties guaranteed by our Great Constitution. With the ongoing successful Military activities against the Terrorist Iranian Regime, it is more important than ever that we remain vigilant, PROTECT our Homeland, Troops, and Diplomats stationed abroad, and maintain our ability to quickly stop bad actors seeking to cause harm to our People and our Country.
The fact is, whether you like FISA or not, it is extremely important to our Military. I have spoken to many Generals about this, and they consider it VITAL. Not one said, even tacitly, that they can do without it — especially right now with our brilliant Military Operation in Iran. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
I have outlined this seemingly inevitable construct with great detail; the systems creating the surveillance state for several years; culminating in a December 2024 recap [SEE HERE] along with my position in January of 2025 [SEE HERE]. I do not like it, but I understand the arguments behind it.

“I am disappointed the reauthorization will not be attached to the Save America Act as leverage.“
We all are.
Group it with the Save America Act.
Both pass or neither passes.
I would agree, but Dems and RINOS would sell out this country IOT to foil PDJT and his Presidency. Looking at it a different way: PDJT is PDJT. Dems/RINOs are equivalent of Iran’s mullahs/IRGC.
For decades.
brilliant, plain speaking

YES! Post of the day! I will say once again that we can not hate CONgress enough.
Representative Luna has been making statements that the two would be tied together…what happened?
<Representative Luna has been making statements that the two would be tied together…what happened?>
She was talking about Schiff and Swalwell in a hotel room 🙂
😆😆
There’s some questioning in the Atkinson transcript about Mary McCord and FISA within pages 189-193.
I miss the 4th amendment. While the unauthorized searches are what give rise to the risks to citizens, the fact that the NSA even collects our data makes me miserable. If you don’t want your kids eating cookies, don’t stuff the cookie jar to begin with.
Edward Snowden tried to warn us…..
Nick Fuentes knows well the reasons why this 702 extension is agreeable to the President.
Very disappointing that Trump supports reauth of 702 even as he was so persecuted by the same. This occurrence along with his comment regarding the Epstein list has me concerned for Trump.
I’m apposed to ANY reauthorization of the 702. I am apposed to ANY illegal, unauthorized surveillance of American citizens in any shape or form.
I am apposed to the FUSION CENTERS using their databases to collect information on private citizens for the sole purpose of destroying their lives.
Me too. Since Covid, I have soured on the word “Safe” for the rest of my life
Why isn’t it attached, because the military needs it now for Iran?
No. It’s because those in power will not give up their corrupt ways and will continue stealing elections and spying on Americans.
Ask Frodo at Mt. Doom.
Even Frodo could not destroy the ring. No one in Middle Earth could.
It should not be missed that a subtle influence from Eru Illuvatar made Gollum trip and fall into the fires of Mt Doom as he bit off Frodo’s finger bearing the One Ring.
“I am willing to risk that as a Citizen in order to do what is right for our Country.”
Well, I’m a citizen too, and I am not willing to take that risk. But of course, it’s not up to me. I’m just an ordinary tax paying American citizen.
God bless President Trump. I can only imagine the immense pressure he is getting from his military advisors and the usual clowns in the UniParty. I expected this to happen.
Nobody is perfect. President Trump is still our greatest president since Washington. Please President Trump-change your mind and tie FISA to the Save America Act!
Imagine if they renewed FISA 702 searches and then used them to actually surveil and *prosecute* all the treasonous snakes slithering around DC ..for a change? Wouldn’t that be such a HOOT?
NO DC JUDGE WOULD APPROVE IT.
One can dream…..
All in, Rs, Ds and independents support the Save America Act at 71%. Rs support it 90+%
By President Trump not demanding both FISA and The Save America act be rolled up into one bill and both must pass, how it that not a serous betrayal against all the citizens of the United States?
To me it looks like a spit in face and warrants suspicious cat. I’m open to being convinced otherwise.
This is how he keeps RINO’s on his side. You could say he is using it as leverage … or alternatively, he is being leveraged. I’m starting to think the latter.
Not good.
The point is they haven’t been on his side at all else there would be no reason to tie the two together.
I don’t think there’s anything suspicious going on with President Trump.
All of his military advisors have been doing the full court press on our President for weeks. They have convinced him that FISA 702 reauthorization is vital to the success of the powerful military our President built.
I think he’s wrong, but I don’t think he has been compromised in any way.
In PDJT’s mind, it’s reasonable to think the Save America Act is at least equally important if not more important than FISA. The SA Act has a far greater approval rate by the citizen voters than FISA.
So logical and easy for PDJT to use his bully pulpit to demand both together and follow through on the threat. We know the DS needs FISA and will do almost anything to keep it.
It looks like he is compromised. I pray that is not the case but I can’t see how it’s not.
I certainly will not try to convince you otherwise. I just wiped the spit off my face. Not a good move, imo.
This is where I split with Trump. Dress it up how you will but stripping our privacy is about as anti-American as you can get.
Relax, congress has tds… that means if President Trump wants it… it will never pass.
I guess that means that US citizens are running and involved in foreign military networks, operations and campaigns. Otherwise, they wouldn’t need to un-Constitutionally spy on American citizens to do their jobs.
what a total load of horseshit.
Almost as bad as Britain. I worry about future elections. I think the Republican Party is finished because they were given the house. They were given the Senate. They were giving the presidency in what many people viewed is our last chance to save America and quite honestly other than not voting for a democrat, why does anybody have a reason to vote for a Republican again? They break promise after promise they do nothing. They’re no different than Democrats and honestly is the lesser of evil a reason to vote? Or should we look to the Libertarian?
Maybe Rs were given these branches, but we weren’t. Since 2020 my blinders have been off about these phonies and neither party gets a dime from me.
Either remove every establishment R or the party dies. All we get are CRs, time-limited tax cuts and slightly less than full-left judges. Thats the best this party offers.
– Did Susie Wiles or any other advisor consider joining the two?
– I haven’t seen Sundance mention the Trump nominees Thune keeps from confirmation. Why?
– What is Tulsi Gabbards next play?
– Nobody mentions the $220 Billion in DOGE-indentified waste, fraud, and abuse as yet unresolved by rescission bills. Is POTUS worried about the economy? Did he lose his mettle or focus? Thats only 22% of Elon Musk’s revised goal, and we’re still adding $1.8 Trillion per year in new debt (or more)
– tariff revenues are dropping; will that continue, or end?
many people on this site and other sites have been saying for many months that the WH needs to get refocused on our domestic issues and the economy. Things are not trending well at all. The list of big problems is long and getting longer. The pollyannas here will just whistle past the graveyard and that’s fine. It won’t change what’s coming in Nov if something doesn’t change domestically very quickly.
BTW: the GOP will blame Trump for their midterm give-aways. I have already seen news clips from places like Fox saying just that. The talking points are ready for the GOP. It will be Trump’s fault.
why maga doesn
t understand this,i have no idea.....fox hates trump but loves the wars....fox and the wsj(as the wsj works like heck to scuttle the save act)..but trump deserves much blame here, too(just being honest)...hes been compromised …who got into his head,im not sure.....maybe miraim adelson?...i dont think graham is smart enough….maybe kushner and some “please, daddy” from ivanka?…..if this continues much longer november will be a bloodbath…
The US cannot continue as it’s been going. Socialism is built into the system and will function until we default on our debt.
Only then will the free riders get jarred loose and booted off. Nothing will be reformed with those opportunists voting us back into Left World.
“While parts of FISA were illegally and unfortunately used against me in the Democrats’ disgraceful Witch Hunt and Attack in the RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA Hoax, and perhaps would be used against me in the future, I am willing to risk that as a Citizen in order to do what is right for our Country.”
Well Mr.President, clearly if powerful rogue government corruption is misusing something illegally in a political lawfare conspiracy to unseat a duly elected President: then perhaps it’s NOT “what is right for our Country.” Wake up man!
the harsh reality is that government spying is taking place with or without legal authorization. Anyone that thinks these people give a crap about the law haven’t been paying much attention the past 10 years. Not saying this should be approved either. Just saying it’s kinda just window dressing. Our government is completely lawless and we have judges assisting their lawlessness.
True, only President Trump is following the law.
And We, the People, really have no means at this point to effect permanent Constitutionally-based change of our lawless government.
Elections? Let’s not make ourselves laugh. Constitutional Convention? Won’t happen, and would be subverted by all the slime molds we want to wrest the government from. Supreme Court rulings in our favor? Would take approximately how many decades to make the changes needed? Forever many.
Looking more and more like Thomas Jefferson’s “refreshing the tree of liberty” might lie on the path of our nation’s future. Not that I am advocating that action, but one wonders — what’s really left to save this Nation?
people pinning their “hopes” on the GOP sure are kidding themselves. They are openly working against Trump, just like in his first term. I’m very surprised the President has kept his mouth shut about it all. He normally doesn’t need much to get going……..
Sundance – that is the best idea in a long time. YES
Has the President retreated from his claim to not sign any legislation into law prior to the SAVE Act?
Moreover, not attaching the SAVE Act to the FISA bill may be a concession to Thune’s power to scuttle it.
Twice disappointing.
Although PT acknowledges he was “a victim of the worst and most illegal abuse of FISA” and that “parts of FISA were illegally and unfortunately used against” him during Russiagate, he only wants a clean reauthorization, meaning reauthorization of the exact same act as was used against him. While with a clean reauthorization it might be fine, so to speak, if it were only used by people who who will make sure it is not illegally or improperly used, we know that the same opportunity for illegal and improper use remains and is just waiting for bad people to abuse it again, and there are plenty such people embedded throughout the agencies that use FISA. This clean reauthorization, if it has to be done at all, misses the opportunity to put safeguards into the bill, such as to make clear it will be a felony to misuse this law to violate any citizen’s Constitutional rights.
The comment that the “military desperately needs FISA 702” begs the question of why? It was already legal without FISA to access foreign communications, so how could it’s use to access the domestic communications of citizens be so needed by the military for the success of overseas operations? While PT’s top people may be working “tirelessly” to ensure FISA is only used properly, the next Democrat to get in the WH will throw his reforms overboard in a New York minute and start using it again to go after their domestic political opponents. If FISA has to be reauthorized at all, the reforms he talks about must be incorporated into the Act itself.
Unfortunately even if FISA wasn’t renewed they’d, Uniparty/Ds, still do it. When do they follow the law.
“I have spoken to many Generals about this, and they consider it VITAL.”
If there was not a single General that spoke against it then that is a red light.
This would have been good reason to not approve it.
If there were some who spoke out, even a few, their reasons should have carried weight or even been decisive.
I smell a RAT….
I remember in Trump’s first term he publicly stated his concerns and basic opposition to civil forfeiture. He properly characterized it as government theft with no due process.
A few weeks later, a bunch of BillyJoeBob sheriffs from all over hell’s half acre bull-rushed the WH and met w/ Trump. He suddenly expressed his aggressive support for civil forfeiture. Go figure…..
I do NOT understand WHY the stupid R’s will not attach the Save Act to the FISA 702 reauth. This is ridiculous. FISA is a must pass bill so it is the perfect vehicle to attach the Save Act to.
Who has convinced President Trump that this is a good idea?
Why would you think the Republicans would want the Save Act to pass?
Too many of the Senate R’s are worse than stupid. They are mendacious in all the worst ways. If somehow the two bills were attached, with the SAVE Act intact, those people would happily let both be voted down. Then they would manufacture a “crisis” of some sort to ensure FISA would pass all by itself.
Down below is from the Moore v. United States (2024). Giving the opinion of the Court, Justice Kavanaugh clearly spells out, as have past SCOTUS opinions on what and who the income tax truly applies to. The 16th Amendment did not change the tax codes one iota!
Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone just started following the law and take away the politicians cash cows? Us! Well, not me of course, we’ve filed every year since 2013 and the IRS either returns our money or says $0.00 amount owed but there are times some low level agent, tries to place me and the wife back into the barn. 2013 folks, the politicians received nothing from us, and again, we file every YEAR, the proper way. Tax laws are what I truly and fully understand! Here’s the excerpt from Moore.
Because income taxes are indirect taxes, they are permitted under Article I, §8 without apportionment. As this Court has said, Article I, §8’s grant of taxing power “is exhaustive,” meaning that it could “never” reasonably be “questioned from the” Founding that it included the power “to lay and collect income taxes.” Brushaber, 240 U. S., at 12–13. In 1861, Congress enacted the Nation’s first unapportioned income tax. 12 Stat. 309. The Civil War income tax was recognized as an indirect tax “under the head of excises, duties and imposts.” Brushaber, 240 U. S., at 15; see also Springer v. United States, 102 U. S. 586, 598, 602 (1881).
In 1895, however, in Pollock v. Farmers’ Loan & Trust Co., this Court held that a tax on income from property equated to a tax on the property itself, and thus was a direct tax that had to be apportioned among the States. 158 U. S. 601, 627–628. The Pollock decision sparked significant confusion and controversy throughout the United States.
Congress and the States responded to Pollock by approving a new constitutional amendment. Ratified in 1913, the Sixteenth Amendment rejected Pollock’sconflation of (i) income from property and (ii) the property itself. The Amendment provides: “The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.” U. S. Const., Amdt. 16 (emphasis added).
Therefore, the Sixteenth Amendment expressly confirmed what had been the understanding of the Constitution before Pollock: Taxes on income—including taxes on income from property—are indirect taxes that need not be apportioned. Brushaber, 240 U. S., at 15, 18. Meanwhile, property taxes remain direct taxes that must be apportioned. See Helvering v. Independent Life Ins. Co., 292 U. S. 371, 378–379 (1934).
What a shame that no one wants to learn the actual tax laws. You might be surprised when you find out that everyone was convinced that a certain Amendment changed all that, it didn’t! I know these laws like the back of my hand! Test me.
There’s cash cows and then there’s CASH cows and the politicians rely on those… CASH cows!
sure looks like the g.o.pe. has regained total control…….so disappointing….so unsurprising…
He negotiates with Iran better than he does Congress.
Admin, my apologies on the recently “Waiting on Approval” removal as I didn’t realize all the hyperlinks were attached. By bad and I fixed them so I may post again. 😊
Thanks Admin, I was just highlighting areas that were of importance so everyone could understand what and why the 16th amendment was ratified but then I happened to scroll down and saw my original comment. Yay.
It’s amazing to me that everyone posting seems to know more than President Trump and his team. I guess everyone has top secret clearances or access to the NSA database.
No, we do not know what all our President knows.
But, we do know spying on Americans is unconstitutional.
I guess our constitution means nothing, anymore.
If you can’t get what you ask for, you might as well ask for what you’re going to get…
noting: spying on anyone without a real reason to justify it under the constitution, is not just wrong, but criminal. period. the constitution was not made to flex under the pressure of some boogie man, undeclared. one must declare with evidence before a judge with evidence that is obvious, unmuttable, proven and with witnesses.
how we have fallen.
also noting: the modern secret police spy state is nothing more than actionable intelligence that is used to gain financial advantages. period. there is no other kind of information that is more important that KNOWING the minds, the finances and the predicatable choices of a society to use its money. The secret police spy state has this kind of information…it makes billionaires salivate at the true possibility for access. it makes politicos completely undress themselves and serve money, because this acts just like an open ATM machine.
all you have to do is renew the FISA 702. and then you will be one of us…the rich, the untouchable, and you don’t have to answer to your constituents…they can look at you from the point of view of power and wealth and will live, for better or for worse, vicariously through you example of how to STEAL MONEY.
it’s bad, really bad…worst than any kind of big ugly.
the entire world, THE PEOPLE, are now aware: big money depends on the secret police spy state.
it will get much much more dangerous to live and dissent as a Patriot from this point forward.
we have depended on the good will and honor of our leadership…meanwhile they have betrayed that trust.
and what is the answer…?
something far more powerful than even MAGA?
let this be a warning. get your house in order, and prepare…it’s going to be a very difficult time henceforth.
can you be unfraid? yes, but this means you must distruct and pave your own way and abide in the Lord Jesus, Son of God.
HE IS RISEN
God Bless America
God Bless America
You nailed it. 👍
