Everyone’s prayers here got me through being basically dead at the end of October. I am very thankful to everyone and am getting stronger every day. Returning prayers, stay strong, God is with us.
Please pray for my brother in law. Rob is 71 and has been recently diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. He and his wife have a four year son.

Rob, a good friens of mine was diagnosed with Lewy Body about 4 years ago. He found a great Neurologist here in the Chicago area that’s got him on a Med program that has really helped him out. She’s at Rush University Hospital. DM me and I’ll find out her name

Prayers to God Almighty for my better half who is trying to overcome the ravages of chemo and radiation. It’s horrible but medical science and technology today is truly amazing, but God is the answer. As always.
Please pray for my friend Jill. She has Lyme disease that wasn’t found for 15 years. Her job is helping others heal through her massage therapy and treating people with her Ondamed machine. She has helped so many over the years but no one has been able to help her. She has had both hips replaced and two final fusions. It’s to a point where working is causing such severe pain she is ready to give up on life. One of the true angels I have ever known, it’s so unfair the pain she is going through to help others. She will be in danger of losing her home if she has to retire so she struggles through each day, with her clients having no idea she is in worse shape and the majority of them. She needs a miracle. She spent her life savings, over $300,000 on trying to find a cure as western medicine has no idea on how to treat chronic Lyme. Please pray for a miracle in finding a treatment.
Praying that Jesus the Divine Physician bless your friend Jill with healing and complete restoration to good health. While I have not had chronic Lyme, I would recommend immune system boosters such as vitamin D3, zinc, a good brand of colloidal silver such as Sovereign Silver, and elderberry syrup. This is what I took last year when bitten by a tick. I also recommend YouTube videos by Dr. Eric Berg, who speaks at length about vitamin D3 and I believe may have a video about Lyme disease. And yes, persist in prayer, which should come first and foremost!

A very late comment that likely won’t be seen, but here goes:
I went exploring a canyon and within a couple hours realized I had a tick near my armpit. I was young and the only old wise person I knew nearby was an old Korean War vet co-worker.
I went to work and showed him, and this is what he did to successfully get it out:
He said make sure to not break off the head, and to keep the tick alive so it let go voluntarily.
He got a small pair of tweezers and very gently gripped the tick by the head.
Then he had another co-worker strike a match and hand it to him.
The old man then VERY CAREFULLY moved the flame closer to the tick while VERY GENTLY pulling on the tweezers without crushing it.
The tick let go, was pulled out whole, and then paraded around the business, alive, like a museum exhibit (before its proximate demise).
Worked great, I didn’t catch Lyme’s, but it had to be done very carefully, so as not to break or kill the tick.

Brent, I am praying for your friend with Lyme Disease. I contracted this disease in 2016 and went through incredible pain and suffering, trying antibiotics and other Western medicine treatments to no avail. I thank the Lord that I am in remission with symptoms flaring up only periodically vs. continuously. Here is a list of protocols that I have used. Perhaps 1 or more of these are ones your friend has not tried and may help:
(1) Dr. Zhang Protocol (particularly Allicin, Cordyceps, etc.) described in his book “Lyme Disease and Modern Chinese Medicine”. He also wrote a 2nd book in 2024 but I have not read that one. The vitamins for the Protocol can be purchased at hepahealth.com (they gave me a 10% discount because I explained I had bought the book and was going to self-administer.) I did this for 1.5 years at my 1st stage of treatment.
(2) Hydrotherapy baths 3 – 5x/week for about 1 hour at about 102 degrees (hot as I could stand it) which helps boost the immune system (must use ice packs on head as part of treatment.) This may trigger Herxheimer effect and, if so, can ease the water temp down a degree or so and/or reduce to 3x/week until Herx gone. Please read professional guidance on how to do this properly. I continue to do these anytime I feel my immune sydeeper into the cellular level and pushes pathogens out of cells and into the bloodstream where white blood cells can eradicate them. I asked my doctor to prescribe for me a home HBOT unit and an Oxygen concentrator. I bought the hyperbaric chamber from Newtowne Hyperbarics at stem needs a boost.
(3) Hyperbaric oxygen treatments (HBOT) which is different than Ozone treatments. The hyperbaric pressure forces oxygen https://newtownehyperbarics.com/products and it still runs perfectly after 8 years. I went to a naturopath who rented HBOTs and tried one for 1 hour to ensure I could deal with any claustrophobia before purchasing. I did my HBOT daily for 1 hour for about 2 years and then about 3 – 4x/week and more often if I have flare ups. I continue to use it and it has greatly helped to manage symptoms.
(4) With Lyme, you also have to reduce “toxins load” meaning altering diet to reduce food sensitivities (I went on gluten free, no dairy, low and infrequent sugar including minimal fruit, and no Seed Oils – only olive, coconut, or avocado oil. There are many great cookbooks and food blogs today that help to cook this way.)
(5) Then, when energy improves and pain eases/manageable, it is critical to do some form of daily exercise for 20 – 30 minutes such as low impact aerobics like Walk Away the Pounds or The Daniel Plan.
These protocols have helped manage about 90% of my symptoms with occasional flare ups when under high stress or accident/severe cold or flu. I did this slowly myself, starting with 1 protocol and when I felt I was doing okay with one, then added a 2nd one, until by my year 2 had added all the 5 protocols.
If your friend has a relative or friend at Church who can do research, place orders, help her organize vitamin/HBOT/hydrotherapy baths schedules etc, it would be a lot easier and less stressful for her. If no one is available, tell her to take heart, the solution is to look at Lyme as “long game”, adding healthy protocols as she can and that any step she takes is a step towards less pain and better health.
Lastly, I just learned of an international medical study ((https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1726490114000422) where a Taiwanese man recovered completely from chronic Lyme through HBOT but not the type of unit for home use. The doctors used “deep HBOT” where the patient intermittently breathes 100% oxygen while the treatment chamber is pressurized to a pressure greater than sea level (1 ATA). His specific treatment was deep HBOT at 2.5 ATA with treatment duration of 1.5 hours for 30 sessions (I believe 5 days on/2 days off.) The study details his progress and cure. I have found deep HBOT clinics in larger cities across the nation. Insurance does not typically cover sessions but there are price breaks when higher # of sessions are bought. If a clinic is close to your friend, this may be an option vs. buying a home HBOT unit.
Please tell your friend that she is not alone and there is someone who has gone through what she is experiencing and is praying for her. Above all, the most important aspect of Lyme is to hold tenaciously to HOPE, to cling to God’ promises and ask Him literally for His light to shine when discouragement and darkness set in. He will answer this prayer and give peace and comfort to the hurting heart. God bless you and your friend.

Note: From my understanding of the international study and the websites for clinics who offer the “deep HBOT” treatments, it is like a typhoon of oxygen which floods out the Borrellia pathogens at such high concentration and for extended, intense periods so that the pathogens cannot regroup and “hide” in cells, particularly the joints, heart, and lungs. The pathogens are eradicated faster than the home HBOT unit which is a much lower ATA.

I am asking for prayers for my friend Ann. She has a husband with Parkinson’s and together they are raising 2 of their grandchildren the youngest is 12. Recently Ann was diagnosed with breast cancer and just yesterday her insurance has told her she will have to seek treatment in a smaller hospital a county away. It means a much longer trip, new doctor and lots of unknowns
Praying that the new hospital will have better and more successful treatment options. We can never know the “why” of the twists and turns of a healthcare journey. I guess I’m trying to look at the glass half full. Also, praying that friends/neighbors could step up and help with their grandchildren while she is in treatment. Breast cancer is a horrible disease.

Hello, Beautiful Patriots! it’s been far too long since we’ve last spoken, and I’ve missed all of you, some of you deeply.
For those who may not know me and for those who may need a nudge in remembering, my name is Ma’iingankwe. My adoptive Nindede, Dad was of the Makwa nindodomisi (black bear clan), and Nimama of the Migizi nindodomisi (Eagle Clan).
I had come here in 2018 when I had been diagnosed with breast cancer and doing chemo and radiation. Chemo from the beginning of April 2018 to June 6th of 2019 and had completed 37 long and painful radiation treatments.
I truly believe I had been healed through the prayers of those here and my family and friends. I don’t believe I could’ve done it otherwise.
Sadly, I’ve been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, stage 4. This had happened when I had gone to the ER pretty darn sick. They had diagnosed me with some serious pneumonia strain that had put me in the ICU unit, then 3rd and finally the 2nd floor to our hospital, which took 18 very long days. I tell people au entered the hospital with pneumonia and walked out with stage four. Ugh! 😑
However, I’ve been kicking some serious as s, and outliving some serious dates. Am I cured? No. Will I ever be? No, but I have found a lifeline that I truly believe has kept me around thus far. I am more than willing to talk about that at another time. Now, some who know me may claim it’s because I’m to darn ornery. Now, I believe there may be some truth to that, but it’s definitely not all of it.
Okay, I’ve gone on long enough that I think I’ll sign off here until next time. Thank you to all who have read this far, it’s been greatly appreciated, for sure. I would like to ask for one thing though, maybe two. Hello Beautiful, it’s good to see your name next to mine on these pages. You’ve been an amazing and incredible best friend here and in our homes.
Donald and I are on day 2 of visiting Dokme (our daughter – doe-ka-may). I tell ya, I’ve sure been missing those lovely hugs from her, and it’s been a true blessing in trying to catch up. Donald is trying to catch up with all of the picking on her he’s missed, but I do have to share a special moment between the two. Driving in the 5th largest city, another driver was not paying attention, and did something he wasn’t supposed to. If it hadn’t been for Dokme watching the road and other drivers, we wouldv been hit pretty hard. I wish I could explain better, but I had been resting my eyes. Anyways, Donald had complimented her on her driving and had claimed it was a proud moment for him when she had honestly said, “Everything I learned with driving was from you, Dad.” He then told her her defensive driving was above par. It was a warm moment for the both of them, and I know Dokme will never forget it.
Tomorrow we are going to a butterfly place, that’s pretty much all I know. Later we will be dining with and at her best friend, Layna’s parents home. All five of us.
I thought it was really kind for Layna’s parents to invite us over to their home for dinner. They know nothing of us except from Dokme’s stories.
Thankfully, these plans had been made before we left our state, so I had been able to get them a really nice tea towel from Alaska, an oven mitt that matches and a pretty magnet that coincidentally matches as well. We’ll also stop and get a bottle of wine. Donald thinks I over did it, but I don’t, right, Eve? Plus, I don’t know really anything about wine. I believe we’re having a pasta dish, so would red wine be appropriate, and if so, what specific one would you recommend?

A woman who has blessed our family beyond measure is my mother’s nurse. She is an RN who had cancer and became disabled herself so now is now private duty – she is a young widow. Tragically this morning she came to work late and crying because her son died yesterday at age 33. A long, sad story – he had a workplace injury that crushed his foot, a bad surgery, an amputation and this depressing situation triggered a relapse of his sobriety. Apparently he bought some street drugs that were laced with fentanyl and died almost instantly with his grandmother in the next room. Please pray for this grieving family. And for the detectives tracing this drug purchase back to the dealers. So sad.

Prayers of thanksgiving today. My daughter and her family have come back to the Church. So many years, when she was struggling with health issues, I prayed, “Father – I accept whatever is your will but I ask to heal her body, mind, and soul. Whatever that looks like, I ask in Jesus’ name.”
Asking for some prayers…I took a bad tumble on the slightly cushioned astro-turf agility field and hit my head, hard…no signs of concussion but am monitoring this at home alone. Not presently serious enough for a trip to the ER….(yet)…But every prayer helps!

My close friend is losing her third oldest daughter this morning, to the United States Army. She leaves for Camp Leonard Woods, in a few hours. When done with basic and other training, she will be assigned to the Chaplain Corps.
I am not sure who needs the prayers more, the new recruit or the mom…am thinking, Mom. This is her first to leave for ‘far away’ from home. The other kids are at home or close by. Dad served in the Marines so he is hanging tough.
Prayers for my mom. ( and dad). She is in the stages of dying. She has a birthday later this month and is in her late 90’s.
my dad who is older is sticking around to take care of her. She is now too weak to stand so I’m spending the night with her. Her great grand toddlers visited Friday and she was able to acknowledge them just a bit. I think it will happen within the week. I pray she is ready and will not be in much pain. It’s difficult to watch. I hope JESUS will stretch out his arms and embrace her soon. May his golden light of LOVE take away her fears and grant her peace.

You are most definitely not the only one. As Jesus said, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.
My aunt has unfortunately gone down a very dark path from which there can be no rescue apart from surrendering to the Lord. Many things from the past have only served to fuel this descent.
My mom had been doing better, at least up until the last couple of days. She developed a fever seemingly out of nowhere which has thankfully started to subside. That’s actually what made me think of you yesterday, as I recalled you mentioning having dealt with fevers for a time.

time marches on…now I have a medical issue to deal with. Trying to get an appointment is no easy task…even reaching a human on the phone has been a challenge. Then told a nurse will contact me and two days later…nothing.
on a wonderful note…my husband is a preachers kid….but he got a license to marry on the internet years ago and has performed marriage ceremonies. No, he did not go to seminary but is legal. After 12 years of waiting for our two adult children to have their children baptized my husband proclaimed he will baptize the grandchildren on Easter morning in a river close by since we will all be together for Easter. He is risen!! Our adult children are in agreement as they have been stymied many times to get this done. I’m proud of my husband taking this on. I fully expect the risen Christ is going to be on that river with us this Sunday. Amen!

her immediate health scare over,
my sister and i have been conversing every other day or so
when i can get through (more on that later.)
after two brain bleeds and a cardiac issue (rectified),
she has made astounding progress.
the only residual effect is short term memory deficits,
which are the mitigating factor, and while not absolute,
are serious enough at the moment to require 24/7 observation
so that “she forgot to turn the stove off” doesn’t turn into
“she burned the house down”.
the short term memory problems also leave her feeling kind of “unmoored” a lot of the time,
but the kicker is she always remembers she has memory problems (think about that 😂😂😂😂),
and asks for prompting when needed.
the short term memory issues are easily explained as sequelae of the bleeds, and possibly the fall she suffered at that time,
and, at least in part, overmedication.
*problem:
sister is about 10 years older than i and have not always been close due to the age difference.
her daughter (my niece) is 10 years younger than i.
neice wrestled away sister’s hcpoa, after a highly contentious relationship
(at the time of the incident, they had not spoken for upwards of three years)
and is steering things in very ominous direction.
the hcpoa WAS in the hands of my ex brother-in-law (🤣), niece’s father, and a nice guy,
but that’s how much my sister didn’t want her daughter to have it.
(i declined because i didn’t think the extreme geographic distance between us would be conducive
to doing the best possible job for her.)
well, the niece, who lives even FARTHER away,
has managed to turn the whole thing into a work-from-home,
phone-it-in (well, text-it-in),
work/life balance issue (“balanced” mostly to the latter),
i’ll-get-to-it-when-i-can-because-i’m-entitled-to-my-space,
and i’m the real victim here because i have to do all this work BOO HOO,
stereotypical millennial circus.
the most insidious and machiavellian part is yet to come….
*trajectory:
niece admitted my sister to a long term “memory care”
DEMENTIA/ALZHEIMER’S facility in sister’s home town last month
after discharge from the hospital and susequent rehab.
niece has continually told her mother that she’s confused and has dementia,
as does the staff (that’s their patient admission requirement),
as does her medical “team”.
my sister is starting to believe it,
despite the fact that her cognition, logic, reasoning, decision making capability, vocabulary,
ambulation, and most medium and all long range memory are intact,
and no physical signs of Alzheimer’s such as body wasting.
*reason:
doctor wrote “dementia” as the diagnosis on her paperwork and insurance forms,
and told her so.
i told sister i could not support that diagnosis.
she asked why.
i said because i think it’s being constructed for ulterior purposes, such a legal,
but most of all because insurance doesn’t pay for short term memory problems,
but insurance pays for dementia.
*warning:
this is gaslighting at it’s most sinister.
heads up boomers, don’t be be pigeon holed into an insurance eligible diagnosis
because your family finds it more convenient to get you out of the way and take control of your affairs.
niece absolutely refused to care for mother in her very large, 3 story own home, even with paid caretakers.
ok, it’s not something everybody is up to,
but she resists any input that proposes other arrangements,
because after all, if niece did it it must be right AND good.
*effect:
they have cut sister off from the outside world,
isolated her,
overmedicated her,
and convincing her she is a dementia patient.
she isn’t, but they’re trying their hardest to make her into one,
and i fear they will succeed.
*current
all out war is not the solution, so i guess i can’t ask niece this simple question:
“if you think you’re doing such a great job,
then surely you’ll want exactly the same treatment in the future ?”
in the meantime, i call and we chat and it’s mostly delightful,
but she knows exactly what is going on.
her biggest fear is that she has been “warehoused” permanently.
i stay supportive and positive,
but i don’t have a good answer for that.

Please pray for my family in Christchurch, NZ…a cousin has a terminal disorder (something similar to Lou Gehrig’s disease, they are calling it an “autoimmune encephalitis”) and wants to terminate his life support, totally paralyzed. This will happen later today…or maybe already has…as they are about 18 hrs. ahead of us.

As I embark on this journey, I am asking for prayers in the endeavor, wisdom and discernment…to find the right words and the right people to speak with. I have already been in contact with a fellow in Washington…we had a lengthy phone conversation (yesterday)…and he is very encouraging.
