Dealing with brother with undifferentiated schizophrenia – medicated, but has behavior issues

1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Ephesians 1:3 KJV
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
Ephesians 2:6-7 KJV
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: [7] That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Prayer for my family for all of us to become closer to God and closer to one another.
Blessings to all who stand in need of such.
Maquis, thank you for your steady wisdom, (and your great Trump rally “live-blogging”).
My browser for some reason does not let me make a stand-alone comment; instead only to reply to a pre-existing comment, so I hope you will forgive for “tagging” onto yours….. Thank you ad rem for this prayer thread….
=================:
I pray for peace for my aunt today, on what would have been her 56th anniversary.
She was married on April Fool’s Day, shortly before her husband, a good ol’ Southern Boy, was drafted to Vietnam for the first of two tours, USMC. He saw heavy riverine combat, killed many Viet Cong, lost many friends, and returned to us, spat upon, with demons, which the VA didn’t address until the ’90s. He became a much more peaceful man.
Theirs was a hard marriage but they stayed with each other all those years, and he gentled with age. He came off like a “hillbilly” but was deceptively intelligent and followed politics assiduously. I was able to drive him to a 2015 Trump rally in a place of honor, with his faded tattoo. Security tried to make him return his combat P38 can-opener to his car or throw it out, but it would have been too far a walk, and I persuaded them otherwise.
Though Uncle Mike was already going blind, I pointed out the boyish, clean-shaven Donald, Jr. in his baby-blue tie and my uncle went straight over to him and gave him orders to tell his dad DJT not to back down, and to go to Washington and shape up those bastards, and that the patriots were behind him.
After-effects of Agent Orange finally caught up with him last year. Returning from treatment last December, my aunt and he were in a head-on collision on a rural highway after an impatient driver tried to pass too many cars at once. His trailer-hitch plug was a faux mini-Claymore, with the instruction, “Front Toward Enemy.”
It was on the wrong end of the truck. He didn’t make it. She did, with grievous injuries.
For him, it was likely a blessing to go quickly. Harder for her, because she had seen his worst after the war, and had grown to love him again despite the hard years, but maybe the quick ending was a blessing, too. She was becoming unable to fully care for him, but has family around her.
Thank you ad rem for this prayer thread….
Praying for your Aunt today – that God would give her purpose and heal her body and mind for His glory until she gets to go home too.
This is our first April Fools Day without my dad – Korean War Vet. He was jolly & loved to tease me with wild stories on this day. Firsts are hard.
Mama, a very-belated thank you for your prayers. Your dad must have made it by the grace of God to a ripe old age. And aren’t good April Fool’s pranks the best?
Yes firsts are hard. Things get better, slowly, with time.
My prayers in response for you and your jolly dad. Keep the tradition going: did you know that 0bama’s still president, and he is running a fake Ai Trump? 😉
Oops, that wasn’t funny. But I bet you can still makes others happy with a few of Dad’s ole chestnuts.
God Bless….
For a kind and intelligent young man with 3rd stage cancer.
Thank you
So sad to read so many people and those they love facing health challenges, for themselves and others, some so young, some so soon departed into Paradise and those trying to locate prodigals lost in other ways.
Please be assured of my prayers and please spare a few for me. Have to make a decision on eye surgery within the next couple of weeks.
God’s Timing is always perfect. He gave us breath, Jesus saved us and the Spirit spurs us on every day. Easter is coming with renewed life, just like the Spring
Praying for the good health and healing of your eyes, Keystonekon!
Have had eye issues myself. Prayer has definitely helped, both the prayers of a friend of mine for me as well as praying for myself. And a radical change of diet ended up helping … started the diet due to severe food allergies, and the diet plus vitamin supplements helped reverse the beginning stage of cataracts!
Would like to also recommend YouTube videos of Dr. Eric Berg, in particular videos relating to nutrition, vitamins, and eye health.
Thanks for the info, I have cataracts myself!
I’m asking for prayers for my husband who is not saved, and for my daughter who is physically ill with chronic pancreatitis.
I had chronic pancreatitis my whole life until I was finally diagnosed with a birth defect of “Pancrease Divisium” at age 45. Both sections couldn’t drain so there was backup to the liver causing jaundice . It was my persistence to find out what was wrong because this was no way normal.
In 1992 I finally had surgery at Mass General by chief of surgeons to enlarge my pancreatic ducts to eliminate the spasms. I lost my job in the final diagnosis stage but was so ill I couldn’t fight it by myself as a divorced mom with family convinced it was all in my head.. The surgery has lessened the chronic symptoms but I’m still on a pain regimen. There was only a 20% chance to ease the pain and the surgery is contravertial.
Not sure how old your daughter is or if she has been through all the tests available to try to figure out what’s wrong. It wasn’t until an ERCP test caused an acute spasm attack that they finally found the birth defect. I was lucky in that both pancreatic sections had their own ducts so no need for a stint. However I had my gall bladder removed before the final diagnosis which was very common over 30 years ago.
I’ll keep your daughter in my prayers for a healing. God Bless you all.
Dropped a hint a few days ago and dearest Puddy picked up on it. Well, it was MAJOR. It has been a huge ordeal the past 6 months….On the mend now, but after chasing chronic back pain through Covid, being so overburdened by the whole process of applying for STD, LTD, then SSDI…prayers were answered and my transition to disabled life finally was official last May. Still chasing the back pain imcessantly, a bone scan the Wednesday before thanksgiving found a tumor on my kidney. 19MAR25, said kidney gave its best to save itself, but alas was sacrificed with all the BS inside contained. Never was told I had cancer as it never got biopsies until the nephrectomy, but it was cancer and it is gone now. Lots of tests evermore, but it’s gone. This also may have been part of my chronic back pain. Jury still out as I’m still recovering, but, whew. That was fun.
I have scheduled another back surgery in mid May, this #13, bilateral RFA, which should last a lot longer now and provide measurable relief.
my Dear Wife is still holding her own against advanced scleroderma…now on oxygen which is helping a lot.
The kids are so resilient and have been so supportive and patient through all our trials and tribulations. We are so blessed to have such great kids. It has been a team effort for sure, and all prayers are appreciated.
My daughter and son have both sought fellowship during this time. son just got GM position at a large Asian chain(18 YO and making serious bank, almost engaged, coming in the next few weeks, yay), and daughter just got re-baptized as she felt the pull of faith on her heart ❤️. So blessed. We always left the faith decision up to them and they have both found it.
Love to my Treeps.
p.s. Remember the “I FOUND IT” stickers from the 70’s faith craze. I always laughed at the, “ I lost it, so give it back” stickers in response. I post that in honor of my dearly loved kidney it was a good one. ☝️
One could not pick a better time for soul nourishing TV to watch and am so grateful for our wonderful President and his team.
We did it, Joe.
Love in return, and my sincerest prayers go out to you and your wife Carter.
This is definitely not what I was expecting to hear, but it’s reassuring to know you have such wonderful family care and support.
Forgot to add, IVM doth shrunk the tumor from 6.9 cm to 4.0 cm, much to the bewilderment of the docs. Shhhh.
Still not vaxed over here, but prayerful for all those who had no choice in the matter. The company I worked for mandated it and I was one of 3 in my workgroup of over 200, (fortune 50 company whose name precedes I.Q.)that stood tall and received a religious exemption(after 7 soul sucking appeals).
Prayers for recovery to all those affected.
Outstanding! (Also – not vaxed….and a believer in IVM treatment. 🙂 )
me, neither – ‘n me, too

Mega-dittos on both of those points. God is good!
Not vaxed also, but had to retire because of it!
Prayers to both you and your wife. Scleroderma is a wicked illness. I’ll pray for a halt on
pain for you and a let up on scleroderma advancement for you wife.
Aww, Carter!! Wow. You have been through it and now you are, to all appearances, on the better side of things although much stuff still lays ahead.
The exhaustion of constant pain….oh, my. I’m glad to hear your spirit and sense your heart. You and your wife are also resilient and supportive and patient–I suspect your daughter and son have taken in what has been modeled for them.
May you know the Lord’s presence and comforts during the days and weeks ahead, and notice a little spot of refuge along the path once in awhile where you can catch your breath, even as you hold your wife and help her.
You will be much on my mind and heart.
I have dropped off from commenting and even from reading sometimes. I am grateful, old friend, that I saw what you shared here and that Puddy was refreshing the prayer thread tonight so it was “right there”.
I was hoping you’d see this! 😀
So glad I did, Puddy.
Me too. 😉
Sharon, You taught me all I know about standing by your beloved during tough times. Your story of your love and dedication to your DH still resonate with me today.
Thank you, Sharon. Of all the comments I hoped to receive, yours is the most special.
Thank you for that sweet and encouraging note, Carter. A note for both you and your wife: consider yourselves hugged, please. 🙂
I have two requests.
The first is to pray for my brother who has been diagnosed with stage four cancer. Please pray for him and his family.
The second is for my brother in law who is a very very lost soul. Drugs, crime, con man, you name it. I’m asking that you join his family in praying that he seeks and finds Christ. We’ve tried to help him but he won’t change. What he needs is to become repentant and find Jesus.
Thank you all for your prayers.
Please pray for the reconciliation with my son Theodore and for Him to forgive me for pushing Him away. For God to heal His heart.
Amen.
Just wanted to say what a beautiful thing that this is provided on this site. Thank you, Ad rem. <3
I usually say a prayer for Treepers in my general prayers, but sometimes having specifics helps us to connect better. The power of prayer can be done quietly, anywhere, at any time – and it works.
I’m hesitant to ask for any of you to pray for me because it seems selfish and unfair, as I don’t wish to disclose my issues. But if any of you are kind enough to do so, thank you.
Always <3 and prayers for our PJ!
I’m praying for you whether you like it or not, haha!
Seriously, I hope your issues either resolve or are bearable, PJ!
Asking requires humility. It is not selfish.
I had hip surgery. Came out of hip surgery with a dead left foot. Nerve damage and bone marrow edema from a boot they put on my foot way to tight. Prayers for healing and recovery. Its been almost five months and I struggle to walk. Thank you
walk
Try an anti-inflammatory medicine from Nature’s God.
Any dark honey with high MGO/NPA may help stiffness/joints.
Any dark honey infused with propolis, royal jelly, and pollen may help.
A bees wax balm/ointment infused with a dark honey concentrate may help topically.
“Non-peroxide honeys are commonly derived from the Leptospermum species. In these honeys, MGO is irreversibly formed during honey maturation, storage, and processing from the dehydration of a precursor molecule, dihydroxyacetone (DHA), a compound found naturally at high levels in Leptospermum nectar and unripe honey. *Any natural honey may have MGO. That is all I know.
Buyer beware. Ymmv. Thank God.

💯 My oldest stanby is castor oil. I try to keep it on any problem 24/7, as long as it takes, especially overtnight. If treating a wound or joint, saran wrap or soft flannel next to the skin and held in place with an ace bandage just tight enough to prevent slippage, usually works.
You are permanently on my prayer list, Robert Laden. I have been there, last year March a stroke, two weeks later out of rehab and doing everything I did before. About 3 weeks of freedom, was doing a good deed for my 84 year old neighbor, taking him for laser surgery on his eye. Fell on his asphalt driveway and broke my right hip! Lots of metal in there now as they had to replace the joint. Prayers and perseverance and walking through the pain and writing letters to God got me through. I am back to doing everything I did before. Please try to walk whenever you can. Listen to the physical therapists and occupational therapists, if you still have them. I did what they asked me even when they were not visiting me at home, pain and all. It got me to this point. Blessings to you and prayers for your recovery.
👍 👍 👍
May God bless you all, your families, friends, loved ones & others requesting/needing sacred intervention
I leave you all with this golden nugget, told to me decades ago, by one of the wisest men I ever had the pleasure of knowing, at a challenging time in my life…
“If you’re going to offer your issue up to the Lord & leave it in his hands to do what’s best, then actually do it! So, if you’re going to pray don’t bother to worry, if you’re going to continue to worry, don’t bother to pray’
Say your prayer(s) & actually leave it in the Lords hands, works every time!
For a new friend, Diane, who had spine surgery last Thursday. I was told she is in too much pain to accept calls. Lord, may she heal quickly, rest easily and be able to go to her granddaughters’ upcoming wedding.
A prayer for my wife:
I pray for painless hours for her
I pray that the wild daffodils on her bedside table stay fresh
I pray for more moments of joy with her daughter and granddaughters…and with me
I pray never to ask why bad things happen to good people
I pray always to remember that without the bad, the good has no meaning
I pray, not with bitterness or regret, only with gratitude…thankfulness for all that God has given us
Like:
A Lenten moon that glows, black walnut trees that grow
Honking geese above the trees, beneath the moon
And very soon, I step inside, full well knowing
The geese are gone but the moon’s still glowing
Wow, that was beautiful.
Just before writing my post above, I went onto the deck and looked at the sky, wondering if I should have the nerve to ask for strangers to pray for me. It was so serene and quiet.
There was a stunningly beautiful big orange sliver of a moon, and I was surprised to hear geese flying above, honking.
And here’s your prayer request, with the lovely moon and geese reference. God doesn’t deliver coincidences.
I fully believe He gave me the strength to ask for prayer, so that I could hear yours. God Bless your wife, and yourself, and the good people who surround you.
Thank you, PJ. and blessings to you and yours, too. I like, ‘God doesn’t deliver coincidences.’ But He does deliver serendipity now and then, like your seeing the moon and geese before you read my prayer.
One of the reasons autumn is my favorite season is when the Canada geese migrate here to our woods and watershed. I’m so glad you saw those things too.
It was truly surreal and serene. That stunning moon, as I was wondering if I should come back in and ask for prayer. Then, the geese flying overhead and honking like that at night – very surprising, not normal here. It meant something, though I didn’t realize it at the time.
And here came your prayer request. It’s all connected. God makes sense of things we cannot understand. Your wife has my deepest prayers, as do you. Be well, and thank you for sharing your prayer request.
My pleasure, PJ. And thanks again.
Beautiful prayer, LTB…
A prayer for my beautiful and compassionate wife, who suffers through constant pain for 30+ years and continues to recover from open heart surgery summer of 2024.
I pray she has relief from her pain on a daily basis; and that I serve and meet her needs with greater dedication every day.
Wow! Tears in my eyes. Thank you for sharing this beautiful prayer.
Great is Thy Faithfulness 🙏🏻
I pray for a great result in Wisconsin where the Republican judge wins
I add my prayer that God will protect the Wisconsin election from voter fraud and theft.
for my children and their families to come to faith in Christ
I’ve been diagnosed with ALS. Can not imagine how people without the Lord manage the trials of life. Thank God.
God be with you every day and let you feel His love and protection.
Praying for God’s miracle touch on you for complete healing, and for wisdom about self-care, in Jesus’ name.
P.S. Not sure if you’ve heard of the Deanna Protocol, but passing it along in case it helps. CBN News did a story about it several years ago, and it sounded promising:

Praying for you for a touch from the hand of the Lord. God bless.
I pray to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ and his/our blessed mother to continue to bestow on my family love and health and safety. I pray also for the protection and resolve of our president Donald John Trump. O kind and merciful Jesus, hear my prayers and all on this thread. Amen 🙏
I don’t know many friends here at TCT and we may never meet in this lifetime, but you are always in my prayers.
A day does not pass without thoughts of the treepers. The abundant spirit here is unmeasurable.
Thank You!

Since the beginning of medical “practice”…
Physicians have had only two models to work on…
Male and female created He them.
Asking prayers for my dearest friend who just received the news that her chemo-therapy will be discontinued because it is no longer working. There are some things that will still be tried, such as radiation on the most painful spots. She is keeping away tears.
May God let her go gently. The last 4 years have been hard and painfilled.
Prayers for the message of Lent to repent, to turn back toward God, especially those who have turned their backs toward God, to take root around the globe, especially here at home.
Prayers for my schizophrenic brother and all those suffering from mental disorders, which I believe are connected to spiritual illness.
Prayers for the employee I let go last week who has a drinking problem and other character issues including dishonesty and pride. Again, do these problems grow from spiritual malfeasance?
Prayers for friend going through his second divorce. May he find peace. May our culture restore marriage to the dignity it deserves, not empty promises to be easily discarded.
Prayers for our culture to embrace Sundays as set aside for Our Lord. Make Sundays Great Again must be an element of Make America Great Again- we can’t do it alone.

God bless you for joining me in prayer for my parents ( in their 80’s) and all the residents of Cheboygan, Michigan as they’ve been without power since Saturday night due to the ice storms. Power may not be restored for another week. God’s Holy Spirit protect them and comfort me( 1,000 miles away), in Jesus name.
I pray for President Trump, his family, administration and all those supporting him. Every day is another uphill battle. I’m not sure how he continues but do know God has a huge hand in it all. I pray we continue to stand with him and not waiver. God bless us all.
Prayers for our grand daughter who has a rare form of Epilepsy. Years of doctors and research have resulted in finding she has heterotopia in her brain. Treatment through surgery is dangerous to her life. Alternative treatments so far have not worked. Pray for this family that God will lead them to a solution that will save and cure their child. Thank you Treepers, you have been a wonderful influence in my faith.
Pray for my grandbaby. He had his first open heart surgery at 3 months.
He is now 11 months old.
The surgeon is planning and discussing with other doctors another open heart surgery today.
They are planning to operate tomorrow.
I hate to see him go through another operation.
Please pray that God will heal him. In Jesus name 🕊
Prayers to all.
I am not callous…

And not in the ICU.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Jesus Christ. Philippians 4: 6-7
I love the Treeper people. Praying for all and a few of my own. Even so, Amen.
For my daughter, as she goes in the hospital tonight to be induced for delivering our precious little Annabelle June! And for her husband and 17 month old son!
Mother’s kidney was stolen by doctors, she was then murdered by the same bastards – Little Rock Arkansas
I have been overwhelmed and depressed for a few weeks. I read all these prayer requests and responses from Jan 25 forward this morning with many tears. A blessing and a comfort to observe the “church” – the body of Christ care for itself here.
Donna, I am praying for Jenny with DS born in 1970 and you, her mother.
Please pray for my dying friend who does not know Jesus. He has ALS. His name is Andrew.
Thank you.
Stay strong, MamaT. God loves you. Blessings!
Praying for the protection of DJT, his wife, family and administration.
Praying for all those who are suffering from receiving vaccinations and those family member and friends who are supporting them.
Praying for all friends, family, media and public officials that like the Prodigal Son, can “come to their senses”, and follow the truth.
Please pray for my father. He’s dealing with stage four lung cancer. Thank you all.
— For my brother who is seriously ill, that God may heal him and return him to the faith
— For me, that God may heal my illnesses
— That my spouse find a much-needed job
I have been feeling lost, still believing, praying, and studying, but questioning. Having a desire to gather with others (strength in numbers and all that), but not wanting to be “the new guy” at a church. This morning, you all have given me an opportunity to not just pray for you and others, but to belong. I praise God for responding to my need.
For my friend who has blood clots in her lungs and is struggling to pay for her medication, Eliquis.
The cost is around $400-500 for a 30 day supply, even with Medicare Part D.
The patent for this med doesn’t expire until November 2026 and then she can get the generic version, which will cost less.
She is seeing her hematologist today.
Ted, my Medicare part D co pay for Eliquis is $103 per month. I have Atena SilverScript Choice (pdp). You can only change policies in the fall but after $2,000 out of pocket (per year) she should go into catastrophic phase until the end of the year. My drugs are so expensive,I will meet the $2,000 out of pocket soon and will pay 0 for my drugs. This is new for seniors, starting this year. Prayers for your 🧡 friend and hope I 🙏 didn’t hijack this thread Ad Rem..
Diceanna, Thank you for that information. I will pass it along to my friend. She is 71 and going to be 72 in May., meaning she is on basic Medicare. No Part C. She lives on a fixed income.
One question. I assume you have to pay a monthly fee to have Atena SilverScipt Choice. If I’m right can you please tell me what is the cost? Don’t know if this matters, but she lives in the state of NY.
Ted, sorry I’m behind and hope you see this. Athena Silverscript Choice is a Medicare part D (drugs) provider. I pay $52 a month in premiums plus $103 for Eliquis which is a lot cheaper than paying $400-$500 a month for one prescription. I live in Georgia but the premium should be comparable in New York. I’m so sorry for all of us seniors who face this challenge daily..Prayers for your friend🙏
Diceanna, Thank you for getting back to me. So the $52 is on top of what is normally taken out from the monthly Social Security payment? In other words, you pay 52$ extra?
Right now my friend is getting her Eliquis from India. The price is extremely low. It seems to be the legit med, but I am not comfortable with her taking this. I’d rather her get it from an American or even a Canadian pharmacy.
Ted, yes the $52 is a stand alone policy I pay seperate for in addition to my Standard Medicare premiums. I have friends who have ordered their meds from India and have been OK with them. Canada prices have never helped me but every situation is different. Good luck. You are a good friend to have.🥰🥰
Seniors should get what they need. For free. No strings to big pharma…just free. No limits, not out of pocket to meet…Just plain old free.
Dear God, hear my prayer for those who need expensive meds. May they get them for free. Amen.
I pray for those asking here, that their needs will be met.
That they will feel the presence of aid and have that peace.
God Bless you this day

Please pray for healing for my mom. She’s 94, and in good overall health (praise God), but she’s gotten hit with the same intestinal bug or norovirus that I just recovered from. Praying that this leaves quickly, and that she can enjoy good health and eating again, in Jesus’ name. Thanks!
The Bible says to “trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding”. My prayer is that I stop leaning on my own understanding and trust the Lord with all my heart. I struggle with this almost daily.
Asking for prayers for my son’s family. He and the mother of our grandson have broken up. He is struggling to find the light and maintain the love in his heart. Our 5 year old grandson is obviously confused and emotionally hurt. We are praying for the mother as she has had psychological issues for many years and will not seek help. And a niece and cousin battling drug addiction. Dear Lord we hold all this up to you seeking your mercy and help for them. 🙏🏽 Amen
For my brother who is facing losing his parental rights as he battled addiction and now has been sober for 14 months. The kids are 9 &10 and do want to see their dad again, however their mom is remarried and looking to cut ties permanently. Thank you for the prayers!!
Please pray for my daughter to find Jesus.
Prayer for a friend having martial problems and legal matters

Ad rem, thank you for providing us with this avenue. I pray for all the Treepers, and all the CTH staff every evening. You have all been a blessing to me for years, and I give thankful and grateful prayers to God for bringing me to this sight years ago. God bless each and every one of you.
Blessed to have you amongst our branches Pat! We’re always here – just “click” the little candle in the upper right…… 🙂
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Loving God and Father, I am grateful for the blessings in my life and praise you for the gift of marriage. I ask for your guidance in helping my son, Matthew, find a virtuous spouse so that he may enjoy a holy and happy married life. How our lives unfold remains a mystery, but we seek to be open and faithful to your will. Please help my son and those searching for a devoted partner. Today, I ask you to bless Matthew and enable him to find his spouse so they may grow together and be in love with each other and you daily.
The deepest desire of my heart is for Matthew to find someone with whom he can share his life. I trust in your plan and pray that he will soon meet a young woman who will love him more than I do. I pray that you give Matthew the courage and strength to recognize her when she arrives, grant him wisdom, and inspire him to take the initiative to introduce himself. Lead him away from temptation or negative influences that can derail a relationship. I fervently pray that he will find a new sense of self-renewal, joy, love, and peace through the power of your Holy Spirit. Open his heart and mind, inspire him to begin his search for a loving spouse soon, and remove any obstacles hindering him from attaining a happy encounter.
I humbly pray to you, the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, to guide him, grant his prayers, and confer a divine blessing upon him. I am eternally grateful to you and trust you will answer my prayer for marriage. May God bless Matthew with a strong desire to find a virtuous woman and loving spouse.
Jesus, I trust in you; Lord, hear my prayer. Amen.
Amen…
