Mitch McConnell (KY)….Jon Burks, a former top policy advisor to McConnell (and Paul Ryan), is now the Executive VP at BPC. McConnell uses “procedural order” as a shield to keep the bill in committee.
John Thune (SD)….Thune’s leadership team heavily utilizes BPC “Expert Testimony” regarding the “fiscal impact” on state DMVs to justify why the bill “isn’t ready” for the floor.
Shelley Moore Capito (WV)…Chairs the Republican Policy Committee; her staff frequently collaborates with the BPC on “Governance Reform.
Deb Fischer (NE)…Her office has a history of hosting “Congressional Fellows” from BPC-aligned programs focused on election administration.

Okay Tarheels, we’ve got today, tomorrow, and Saturday left in the Primary early voting period for our March 3rd Primary.
As of end of day 2/25(13 days of voting so far-depending on county) the early voting participation rate of all registered voters stand at only 6.17%.
Democrat=8.69% of registered D voters
Republican=5.76% of registered R voters
Unaffiliated=4.65% of registered U voters <which can pick whatever party primary to vote in-Democrat, Green, Libertarian, or Republican>
Hopefully there will be a large surge of Republican and Unaffiliated voting for America 1st/MAGA Republicans in these last 3 days or on Primary Day-March 3rd.
Low participation rates just about always mean establishment/RINO primary candidates win.

I’m voting on the 3rd. So is my daughter and granddaughter. Early voting is very inconvenient for me. My precinct is two minutes away at my church.
Would the Save Act stop this? I doubt it if State elected officials want to add ballots/votes how is that stopped? Just wondering?
The SAVE act is a distraction. The only way to save elections is to clean the local voter rolls and establish paper ballot voting in person on election day. Everything else is just noise.

So, as a married woman, the name on my birth certificate is different than my married name. I suppose i could register with my maiden name to vote if necessary, but my driver’s license with my photo id and birth date, which matches the date on my birth certificate, should be sufficient proof of my identity.

The driver’s license in California requires a birth certificate, unless you are an illegal immigrant. There are two tier driver’s licenses here.

It would be great in theory, but certain counties in certain Commonwealths cannot be counted on to retrieve copies of divorce decrees if your copy has been lost. The DMV would NOT accept my DD form 214 (even though I tried to reason with them that the U.S. Air Force would not have changed my name back if I had not shown them the final divorce decree with the paragraph that legally changed my name back to my maiden name, but they would not accept that), then I pulled out an expired passport (which had survived) with my maiden name on it, issued later than the first divorce and they accepted that and all my other puzzle pieces fell into place. (No longer, I understand as they have passed a law in Florida, about not accepting expired passports now.) The worst part of this, is now they are talking about denying your ability to have a bank account without the seamless identity verification. Good luck to all of you in the future. The Charlie Kirk Show had that lady on today who has been instrumental in trying to get illegal aliens out of the big rigs and off our roads; can’t remember her name but her thorough description is frightening of how vast the problem still is.
There are two issues: The states that have pretend truck driving classes, for maybe three days, and the truck companies that use these fake licenses to save money. And there are a lot of them. I gather some are third party vendors because she described hundreds of trucking companies being listed at vacant buildings.
This shouldn’t be a partisan issue; they are killing Americans irrespective of their political views.

Tillis co-sponsoring the SAVE Act and then opposing the only possible path to passing it is easy to understand. He wanted it both ways – to get credit for co-sponsoring it while at the same time expecting and hoping it would not pass. That kind of blatant hypocrisy runs rampant in the House and Senate in both parties, but it is especially bad among the RINO GOPe Uniparty wing of the Senate Republicans, all of whom were among the grim unsmiling gnomes who always stood arrayed in the background behind McConnell whenever he was at a microphone in the rotunda talking to the press. All of them need to go.

Here is the latest reliable report and analysis of what’s going on wrt Iran.

I have called my state governors office quite a few times about this. I know others who have done the same thing, and it seems to me the more we complain the more we see. Last year I noticed a pink film building up in the shower walls and the caulk around the tub rim. I would clean it every day and yet the pink film would come back. Friends of mine were seeing the same thing in their shower and dogs water bowl. We use different water suppliers. I called my water company to demand a water test and was told to bring in a sample, which I did. I used sterilized glass jar for my sample. Never heard anything back. My friend went to the Home Depot to get one of those free water test kits. They too never heard back or received a report about the results. I am sure lots of other people in my area were experiencing the same thing that we were and demanding answers because it stopped.

Having some discussion about the recent Supreme Court ruling on tariffs. I am struggling to understand why they left billions of dollars up in the air by not being clear about a remedy, and feel that part is worse than the ruling itself, since the President has other options.
The other party in this discussion says the Supreme Court never really addresses remedy this way. Is that accurate?

SCOTUS just opines on whether the lower court got the law right. If the lower court got the law wrong, the lower court decision is reversed and the case is remanded (sent back) to the district court for further proceedings consistent with the ruling.
The whole issue of remedies will be litigated in the District Courts.
